Simmental… Angus… Profit Earning Combination!

Welcome to the 2025 Canadian Central Simmental and Angus Bull Sale on March 3rd at Neepawa, Manitoba. This sale represents five herds of breeding stock from dedicated breeders…. seedstock from herds that have lesser cow numbers but a high level of quality in production.

The Simmental section offers a powerful yet diverse group of yearlings. Full Blood and Domestic are represented …. They offer performance, growth numbers and being from smaller herds have great dispositions. Whether your program requires red, black or blaze, you will appreciate the hair and muscle in these youngsters. There are bulls for all types of programs and all types of budgets.

The Angus section is powerful and unique as the Ginter family operate a two-year-old program…these late April born bulls have been in pasture the best part of their life and raised in a manner to insure soundness and fertility. Genetically, they represent some of the leading sires in the industry. These twos are designed to cover more cows, bigger cows and add uniformity to your calf crop.

In this exciting cattle market, one cannot afford a dead calf or an open cow. This cattle market gives us an opportunity to refresh a herd bull battery and, in many cases, get paid the same price as you paid for the old bull.

Feel free to stop by any of these operations and preview their bulls or just give them a call to discuss their lineup.

If we, at T Bar C may be of any assistance prior to or sale day, do not hesitate to call any of our team and we will be pleased to assist in a professional and confidential manner.

welcomeFROM WILCOX SIMMENTALS

Welcome to the annual Canadian Central Bull sale. We want to thank all our buyers -past, present and future! As most know- bull sale season was a staple for Grandpa Ern. He loved to see the result of all the hard work put into these guys come to fruition. We have sorely missed Grandpa’s thoughts and suggestions on who his top picks are and his excitement in getting them pictured and videoed to share with the potential buyers. He would love when people would drop in at the farm to walk through the bull pen. We have a palpable void and a large pair of boots to fill here at Wilcox Simmentals. However, we feel we are up for this challenge in carrying on and fulfilling Grandpa’s life’s work of producing quality Simmental cattle and spreading our love for the breed. We welcome you to our farm any time and encourage phone calls to discuss the bulls we have on offer. We feel there is one in there meant for everyone and want to wish all our fellow consigners the best as we move forward with our sale.

Magic Mike has been a favourite since he was born because of his disposition and coming from our top fullbood cow Silver Lake Chelsey 96C. He’s is a super blood red fullbood bull that goes back to Anchor D Motown. We showed Magic Mike all summer along side his dam Chelsey at 9 years old. She still has a great udder for her age and still great feet on her also which she has passed onto all her progeny. Keep an eye out for Magic Mike if you’re looking for an easy to work with bull with performance. Non-Diluter.

TCW Memphis 33M

Memphis has performance bull look from shortly after he was born because he hit the ground running. He will mature out to a big framed bull being an ET calf off Deeg Ms Hollywood and WLB Encore. We are excited to present this year’s Canadian Central Bull and Female sale, and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all previous buyers and bidders for their continued support. This year we are offering 7 exceptional bulls for your consideration. We have full confidence in our breeding program, which focuses on performance, disposition and milking ability to produce offspring that excel in all areas. We hope these footnotes provide you with a better understanding of the exceptional bulls we have available at this year’s sale. Be sure to check them out in person, and we can’t wait to see you on sale day.

Gary, Josie and our grand-daughter Mary Jane Robinson

Rock has impressed us from his day one. His exceptional qualities earned him a spot in our show string for Ag Ex last fall. With a clean front, with a wide topline, with incredible spring of rib, all paired with a fantastic disposition, he is a standout. Rock’s 82-pound birth weight proves his calving ease, making him a great option for your herd. His sire is NGDB Rock 2H, has impressive all GREEN EPD, well above average for the breed. Rock yearling weight was 1358. Homo Polled.

Maximillion is a stunning black bull, known his length, deep sided, smooth shoulders, with natural thickness. Sired by LLW Card Ture North G71 and out of TWL Cassidy 72C, Maximillion’s maternal line has proven to be exceptional. We sold her daughter TWL Fancy 722F to Oakview Simmentals, where she became a valuable donor cow. Her first calf, Oakview Hershey’s was sold to Rendezvous Farms and later resold at their complete dispersal sale, for an impressive $43,000.00 to Circle 7 and Labette’s. Take a second look at Max – he’s the real deal. Hetero Polled.

Manchester is a solid black bull with a chrome face. He’s sired by Erixon Lad 72J and out of BDS 62X Charlie. It was with regret that we let Charlie go last fall, as she was open for the first time in her life. We purchased her from 5 Coner Cattle Company and never looked back, as she consistently produced top-quality calves with exceptional longevity. Manchester is a product of this legacy. Homo Polled.

Motley is a moderate framed bull out of our senior herd sire, Erixon Lad 72J. He’s a homo polled, solid black bull with great length, big feet, and exceptional structurally correctness. His dam TWL 580G is known for her impressive, flat floor utter and consistent production of high-quality calves year after year. Homo Polled.

welcomeFROM LIL’ CHICKS CATTLE CO

We are so excited to be a part of the Canadian Central Bull Sale this year! We have 4 great bulls on offer that we are very proud of. There is something here for everyone’s breeding needs, whether it be for calving ease or performance. These bulls only had a couple weeks of creep to make the weaning transition easier on them, so weaning weight is what you can expect of your calves. Come for a visit to the farm to see the bulls before the sale or give us a call if you have any questions, we would love to have a chat!

Shaelyn and Mitchell Toews

He has always been a stand out bull in the pen. This bull is gonna add pounds to your calves come fall with his wide top and extra length. The true north calves always have extra pounds on them even if they don’t look any bigger. His dam has been a top producer in our herd. We’ve sold a heifer calf through Pembina triangle to Perkin Land and Cattle and have retained a heifer in our herd.

This blaze face bull has the money stripe! Good footed and great disposition, he will work great in any herd! His dam is one we purchased out of the WLB dispersal and every year she raises a bull and every year he is one of the top in the pen! Can’t get better than that except if she would drop a heifer for us!

This bull has a moderate birth weight at 84lbs and then grew like a weed! Perfect for those second and third calvers. His quiet disposition, wide top and extra length will make for some great calves in the fall and some awesome replacements!! Homo Black.

When this calf came out I knew he was going to be a calving ease prospect. With his small head, smooth shoulders and 83lb birth weight he will let you sleep easy at night. He is a deep cherry red to top it all off. Don’t overlook this guy!!

welcomeFROM BASKM LAND & CATTLE

Greetings from all of us at BASKM Land & Cattle. We are excited to be a part of the Canadian Central Bull Sale again this year. We would like to thank all our bull buyers from previous years. It has been very humbling being selected to supplying elite genetics for your programs.

We have a great selection of calving-ease and performance bulls again this year. Our program has relied heavily on a strong AI program using industry leading AI bulls, as well as building a strong maternal cow herd with the focus on longevity, tidy udders, structurally correctness and easy keeping females. This year’s sire group highlights our AI sires: Brookdale Brutus 390, SAV Rainfall 6846 and Ellingson Three Rivers. As well as genetics from our walking herd sires: SBF Prime Minister 9021 and JL Authority 2098.

We feel there’s a bull for everyone with using this herd bull line up. The Brookdale Brutus 390 sons offer excellent calving-ease traits while still adding adequate muscle and shape. The SBF Prime Minister bulls offer shear performance and cow power. The Ellingson Three Rivers bulls are larger framed, powerful group that are built for the commercial cattlemen.

Our bulls speak for themselves. We solely run a 2-year-old bull program. Our bulls are developed on pasture till December, then are fed an oat silage/hay forage along with an oat/barley/corn ration as coming 2 year old’s. Our bulls are raised to be ATHLETIC not FAT, they get adequate exercise while walking the pasture. Hoof quality is very important to us as we strive to have a low maintenance cow herd like our commercial customers expect. Feedback from our bull customers has been great! Bulls go out and work, they don’t melt on pasture. They keep growing and maturing into stout herd bulls.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us anytime! We encourage everyone to come tour the bulls prior to sale day – we can accommodate whenever works best for you! Videos can be viewed online at www.dlms.ca or www.cattlevids.ca –pictures and videos were taken on December 26th, 2024. If you are unable to make it to the sale, there will be online bidding available at www.dlms.ca for those that cannot make it sale day. Also please reach out to anyone at the TbarC crew, they will be able to assist you in your bull purchases.

Talk to us about our Bull Development Program – this service allows you to house your bulls with us until they are ready for use. All bulls are on our full herd health vaccination program and will be semen tested/have breed evaluations completed.

Looking forward to seeing and visiting with you all sale day!!

The Ginters

9L comes from a hard-working SAV Ten Speed daughter. The Ten Speed daughters have been highly maternal, great uddered, productive females. 9L’s maternal sister did an awesome job on her first HF Rotation 106K calf – he weaned off his momma at 700 lbs this fall. 9L will work great in the heifer pen. His dams first 2 bulls have a weaning weight ratio of 104. His calve should come easy and have that extra growth and performance we expect from the Prime Minister calves. 9L is in the Top 20% of the breed for WW and Top 25% for YW.

12L is the only SAV Rainfall 6846 son in the sale and he’s a good one. Following in his sire’s footsteps of moderate BW’s with high performance. 12L has a WW of 718 lbs. 12L’s dam is a beautiful Brooking FireBrand 6068 daughter from the Tibbie cow family. 12L is moderated framed, smooth fronted but still has that muscle expression and hip that we look for in an ideal heifer bull candidate.

19L is a SBF Prime Minister 9021 X JL Authority son - and that cross just flat out works. Moderate BW’s backed by consistent performance. 19Ls dam Tibbie 38H has a WW ratio of 103 on 3 calves. The JL Authority 2098 daughters are some of the backbone females in our herd. Great feet and udders, easy fleshing and carry that extra capacity. 19L will work well in the heifer pen, he’s got the “Angus” head and smooth front end, and will stamp his calves with depth of body, extra length and width through their hind ends.

26

21L is my pick of the 2025 sale bulls. He is one of the stoutest, most capacious bull we have raised to date. He’s as deep as they come and out of one of my favorite Elba females. 21L is the first of the Brookdale Brutus 390 sons to sell for us, and they couldn’t be a stronger group. They all come with moderate BW’s and then just grow! 21L weaned off his dam at 786 lbs and comes with a modest BW. He will work in the heifer pen, or on cows. His daughters will be the highlight of his production, and you will want to keep as many as you can. Standing on a great set of legs, with a great heal under him, along with an amazing temperament (halter broke). 21L is in the Top 5% of breed for WW and Top 10% for YW.

27L is a Brookdale Brutus 390 X SAV Sensation 5615. Suited for the heifer pen with great performance numbers to back him. 27L is another favorite of the Brutus sire group. Deep bodied, well balanced with extra extension through his front third which will help aid in easy calving. 27L is in the Top 10% of the breed for WW and YW, and Top 20% for BW.

SIRE Brookdale Brutus 390

BASKM Brutus 28L

28L dam comes from the Erica cow family. She’s as long as a freight train, heavy milking with that front pasture look to her. Her production record has been solid with a WW ratio of 111 on 6 calves. 28L was halter broke, and has a great temperament, he’s a larger framed Brutus son, but is well balanced being soggy deep and heavy muscled with a WW of 800 lbs. 28L is in the Top 5% of the breed for WW and Top 10% for YW.

Three River 37L

37L is one of my favorite Ellingson Three Rivers 8062 sons in the sale. His dam Countess 20F is highly productive SAV Seed Stock 4838, that is knocking it out of the park on her last few calves. 37L’s maternal sister weaned off a 710 lb bull calf as a first calf heifer. 20F is moderate framed, perfect uddered with ample volume. The Three Rivers bulls have extra performance, added bone and eye appeal. 37L is well balanced with extra rib shape and width through his hind and top. 37L is in the Top 10% of the breed for WW and YW. Recommended for cows.

43L is another great heifer bull option out of the Brutus sons. His dam is another highly productive SAV Seed Stock 4838 daughter that that extra bit of frame, but still provides extra depth and length of rib. A Maternal brother sold to Scott Elias in the 2022 sale. 43L is thick in his quarter, while being chiseled into a smooth front end with lots of substance in his middle third. 43L is in the Top 5% of the breed for WW, Top 15% for YW and Top 35% for BW.

44L is the power bull of the sale, and I wouldn’t expect anything less from a Three Rivers son. 44L will impress you with his shear size and mass, while still being extremely athletic. 44L dam Erica 283D is great uddered, capacious and thick from front to back. 44L is in the Top 1% of the breed for WW. Look for 44L to sire those scale crushing steers, they will top any market you take them too. A maternal brother sold to McGee Livestock back in 2021. Recommended for cows.

BASKM Three River 45L 32

ELLINGSON HOME STEAD 6030 C TS REMEDY 1T01 ELLINGSON THREE RIVERS

45L is the heifer bull out of the Three River sons. This will be 45L’s dams (Anne 10C) 5th bull that we have sold. She’s as consistent as they get, phenotypically stunning from every angle. We finally got a daughter out of her and her fist calf is one of our Top KCH Rainfall heifers. 45L is chocked full of red meat but still presents those easy calving herd bull traits. Another bull you will want to keep every daughter. 45L is in the Top 15% of the breed for WW and Top 5% for YW.

47L rises to the top of the pen for me, based on his shape and overall balance. He’s moderate framed and his dam is the same with an exceptional udder attachment and teat placement. Moderate BW I’d be comfortable with him going on heifers based on his confirmation. His calves will be moderate framed and thick butted. 47L is in the Top 15% of the breed for WW and Top 25% for YW.

BASKM President 50L 34

S

50L is a moderate framed SBF Prime Minister son, that stems from the June cow family. 48H is following in her grand dam’s legacy in being a solid producer, with each calf exceeding the next. 50L is more moderate framed, and I would be comfortable with him going on heifers.

BASKM Three River 53L

53L is the other power bull in the pen, very similar in his makeup to his brother 44L – larger framed, extra bone, and length and depth. 53L dam Jestress 54E is my favorite SAV Seed Stock 4838 daughter. She’s powerful and excellent uddered. 53L comes with a little bit more BW, but his dams average BW on her calves is 97 lbs. Another Three Rivers son that will sire heavy weaning calves for the cow calf producer. 43L is in the Top 1% of the breed for WW and YW.

S

62L and 64L are the last of the JL Authority 2098 sons to sell for us. As mentioned, before he has left a legacy of daughters in our herd that will be the backbone of our herd moving forward. Both bulls have the performance to sire feeder cattle that the feedlots want. Both dams are out of AI bulls and numbers are in the top of their contemporary group. I comfortable with 64L being used on heifers, he’s smoother fronted and nicer headed than his brother.

18L is a standout heifer bull in our 2025 offering, bred with both performance and consistency in mind. With a moderate birth weight, 18L is designed to excel in the heifer pen, offering calving ease without sacrificing growth. Sired by SBF President and out of a JL Authority daughter, his pedigree speaks to reliability and proven genetics. His dam, Blossom 41F, is one of our most powerful yet moderate-framed females. She is known for her great udder quality and consistent production.
