THE ANGULAR FORM EXPLORATION, YEAR 2012 This subject focuses on the sculpting of the building form and its implications on interior space design. It addresses issues pertaining to spatial concepts, resolution of geometry and form-function as vehicle for the study of the built environment that leads to the development of the spatial design vocabulary amongst students.
5
The Angular – FORM EXPLORATION Concept
By carving out some portions of a regular cuboid irregularly, it creates an angular form. This angular form has a lot of dynamic planes and spaces, all in different directions and sizes. These different dynamic spaces determine the mood of the individual spaces. Windows with different colour filters at different planes, further define the ambience of the space under the light source. 6
The Angular – COLOURS AND LIGHT
Colour filters were used in the model to add colours and create contrast with the white surface of the model. At the same time, it gives the space a different mood, depending the position of the light source. White light is used to bring out the colour blue and yellow filters, which were intentionally placed in a rhythmic pattern.

SKETCHING & RENDERING DESIGN FUNDAMENTALS, YEAR 2012 The subject introduces students to art and design fundamentals, aesthetic awareness and cultural appreciation. It will develop an understanding for the art and design processes, and enable us to reflect and see the world from a designer’s perspective. Through this subject students will discover how to express ourselves visually and with confidence in areas of art and design. The following page are some of my artwork done in the lesson.

TRI - JACENT IAD PROJECT 01, YEAR 2012/2013 This subject serves as a platform to introduce the students to design projects. Exploratory and experimental in nature, it encourages students to develop varying perspectives in design approaches and processes, encompassing design conceptualization, visualization and expression of a set theme.
10
TRI – JACENT – IAD PROJECT 01 Inspired by the Crochet Technique that is used by Marc Jacobs in one of his fashion collection. Squares connected by a circle formed the crochet pattern on the clothing. Transforming the squares into triangular shapes and then interlocking the spaces together; which the design principle, ‘InterLocking’ is being found. Using the folding method to design the space.

THE BISTRE DIGITAL MEDIA VISUALISATION & PRESENTATION YEAR 2013 This subject introduces you to the use of the computer as a design tool in three-dimensional design creation and visualisation to effectively present ideas and concepts in the digital mode. The following page is my final rendered design of my space.
13
THE BISTRE – DIGITAL MEDIA VISUALISATION & PRESENTATION
The concept for this assignment is to design a cozy bedroom; using my current bedroom’s layout, with neutral tone colour of the elements. The combination of the furniture between various tones of brown with white, enhance the concept by bringing out the warm-feeling of the space.
14
WATCH TOWER CONSTRUCTION AND DETAILING YEAR 2013 This subject explains building construction elements, through comparison of structural and non-structural function, to provide students with understanding of the constructional framework of the building and the parameters within which interior space can be altered and manipulated.
15
WATCH TOWER – CONSTRUCTION AND DETAILING Concept
Brief This assignment requires us to transform the original building; public toilet, into a watchtower located at the Bedok Reservoir. This watchtower is inspired by the overall shape and structure of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Make use of a main structure to construct the rest of the levels and adding architectural brackets to support each levels. The exposing of the floor-ceiling shows the construction method of the floor joints. Final model

MANGA INAVDE IAD PROJECT 02, YEAR 2013 This subject introduces students to concept development as a seamless process of design from the inception of a design idea to the resolution of the design process. It focuses on the physical development evidences of the design process as the key to externalizing conceptual thinking and development.

MANGA INVADE – IAD PROJECT 02
Located at Geylang Bahru Industrial Terrace, Block 88 Unit 6. Manga Invade is a SOHO apartment specially designed for an action comic book artist to suit her daily lifestyles. Incorporating her job into the apartment; invading the entire space with the essence of manga, creating a unique interior spaces. Concept Model
The dynamic forms in the gallery area is translated from the word “Action”. Manga is originated from Japan , so the deconstructed origami concept was used to combine the “Action” together to create the Manga Invade. The enclosed gallery and the double-volume gives the entire space a dramatic contrast to the user, hence, the client will be able to experience two different ambience in one house.
