The Turkish American Cultural Association of Michigan (tacam), founded in 1972, has a mission to foster, promote, plan and execute programs aimed at improving the economic, social, educational, general welfare and other humanitarian activities of the Turkish American community in the State of Michigan and elsewhere. tacam is a 501(c)3 non-profit association.

In addition, bi-weekly e-mails are distributed to over 500 addresses across America and internationally referencing our Web site, TACAM.org. —The Anatolian Voice is mailed out to roughly 200 addresses Throughout Michigan and abroad, the Anatolian Voice keep Turkish awareness alive, while providing opportunities for local writers to become engaged with the larger world of culture and current events. We have an average of 450 people reading the quarterly newsletter. The issue is published 4 times a year. Each issue is printed in grayscale and contains roughly 32 pages of articles and events pertinent to tacam’s mission. The backs issues are also readily available online on our web site. —Support the mission of tacam tacam’s programs include promoting Turkish-Americans living within Michigan. We promote cultural independence, provide social function gatherings, provide educational workshops in the community, and political awareness. tacam sponsors cultural events that educate the Michigan community. We conduct research or support such activities in social and cultural fields that promote Turkey and Turkish tradition through publications. Plus, conduct seminars and open houses to promote Turkish music, folklore and art.
