Atlanta, with BETTY WILSON, Vice President, IHG® Hotels & Resorts CURRENT OBSESSION: I’ve recently moved to a new neighborhood in Atlanta, and I’m loving my long weekend walks, which have no particular route or agenda other than discovering the best places to eat and drink, along with new park trails, picnic spots, shops, museums, and more! ULTIMATE HOTEL OR RESORT AMENITY: Anything simple that helps me stay hydrated and healthy while on the road. Water and local fresh fruits are fabulous. And on the subject of local, I love learning about and exploring the community I’m visiting, so tips on places I can explore while on my morning walk or for quick breaks in my schedule (if it’s a business trip) are my favorite. 64

2022 WISH-LIST TRIP: On the business travel side, looking forward to getting back to many destinations around the world to visit with customers and colleagues and experience the latest happenings, including many new hotels we’ve welcomed to our family, across Europe, Asia, and beyond. And on the personal side, one of the few places I’ve not yet experienced in the United States is Alaska, so my ultimate wish-list includes embarking on a luxury cruise and once on the ground, lots of hiking to see the glaciers and the wildlife.
WHEN I’M NOT WORKING, YOU’LL FIND ME: Supporting the local community via mentoring, with a focus on entrepreneurial ventures and students. I enjoy helping others grow and succeed and sharing a few tools that enable others to make their own positive impact in the community. I’m fortunate to be part of a company that’s equally committed to shaping a positive future for people all over the world. WOULD MOST LIKE TO TRAVEL WITH: Friends and family, along with a local guide who can help us discover littleknown, special places to explore. I love finding off-the-beaten-path experiences and seeing how locals live, so traveling with a local guru or expert is a must!
