Germiston shoot-out tame TIMES claims officer Four suspects were arrested after they initiated a shoot-out between them and police in Wadeville Germiston, which claimed the lives of five people. According to SAPS spokesperson Lt Col. Mohale, three suspects and one member of SAPS crime intelligence were declared dead on the scene of an attempted robbery at a scrap metal establishment in Wadeville. The incident took place on Thursday 26 September as members of SAPS and EMPD followed up on an anonymous tip-off. The operation also saw three suspects and one EMPD officer being hospitalised due to sustained injuries. Four others were arrested. At time of print one of the three hospitalised suspects had also lost his life. Unconfirmed reports make mention of other suspects fleeing the scene, however police could not confirm this as a fact, neither could they confirm if any money was stolen.
