Mrs South Africa crowned: Bedford teacher in top 5 In a display of elegance and style, the Mrs South Africa pageant surpassed even the highest expectations on 5 October at Emperors Palace. The spectacular production drew on inspiration from 22 of the country’s most glamorous married women, and delivered a powerful celebration of feminine beauty and intelligence. The 22 finalists, who represented their country and their home towns proudly, are inspirational married women who are dedicated to creating sound environments for their families and are devoted to the uplifting of their communities and South Africa. Our homegrown beauty Roelien Kroon did us proud by being one of the top five ladies in the Mrs South Africa pageant. As a teacher at Elandspark, a school for children
with special needs, and the co-owner of the Bedfordview Remedial and Learning Centre, Roelien stated that she intends to use the Mrs South Africa pageant as a platform to further her projects with children with special needs and to get more actively involved in the community. Cape Town beauty Chane de Kock was officially crowned Mrs South Africa 2014. Chané walks away with a prize package valued at over R600 000, including a new Cabrio DS3 from Citroen South Africa and Citroen Hatfield, treatments from The Laser Beautique valued at over R20 000, and Veaudry hair tools and styling for the year. D’Orē fashion will dress Mrs South Africa 2014 during her year of reign, to make sure she is always impeccably presented when attending to her duties as a South African ambassador. Runners-up to the title were Chantelle Swart from Pretoria, crowned 1st Princess, and Kholofelo Chademanah from Bryanston, Johannesburg, who was crowned 2nd Princess.
