BOKS TAKE PARIS WIN “The purpose of life is to serve and to show compassion and the will to help others. Only then have we ourselves become true human beings.” -- Albert Schweitzer”On 21 November, at approximately 8:00, Meals Wheels had their last CSI Teambuilding and Networking experience for 2013 at Gillooly’s Farm. The aim was to prepare between 8000 and 10 000 hot nourishing meals for those less fortunate in Gauteng. The Meals on Wheels team needed 10 to 15 different companies to participate in the annual
Cook-off Competition. Each group consisted of six team members whose culinary skills were put to the test. The teams were required to chop, peel, spice, cook and then deliver the meals to the different allocated areas. Teams were allocated to their workstations and their culinary skills were put to the test. The teams were judged by the amazing Piatto chefs on their hygiene, cleanliness, appearance of the food and the taste of the food. A project manager and coordinator was chosen before the preparing of the food and tasks were defined within teams.
