on 20 November 2012 at Somhlolo taxi rank in Vosloorus by the two suspects. He said the two suspects were arrested along the N3 highway. “The two suspects were found guilty and the magistrate sentenced them. Ngobese told the court that he was hired by his brother Mhlanganiseni Ngobese to kill Alfred Mthombeni. Mhlanganiseni Ngobese was also a taxi owner, originally from KwaZulu-Natal and residing in Vosloorus. He was also shot and killed in a Zulu hostel last year. “Mhlanganiseni died before the suspects were
arrested and there is no evidence that links him to the incident,” said Mphele. Captain Piet Rossouw, communications officer of Vosloorus Police Station said, “If there is a problem amongst the taxi associations, the members should settle the matter amicably. “If they fail to solve the matter they should involve the police to help them to reach a solution. Crime does not pay and no one has the right to take the law in their own hands. “The perpetrators can run but they can never hide and will be arrested.”
