3. Recent 2021 data suggested that Japan has the highest-paid lawyers 1. Ancient Rome is the birth place of the first bar Unlike Athens that outlawed paid orator services, Rome’s Emperor Claudius paved the way for private lawyer practice by legalizing the right of lawyers or advocates to charge a fee. Of course, like all legal things, this made regulating the prices for lawyering services easy. However, at that time, the profession is far from the high-paying job it is famous for today. Roman law dictated the pay for advocates as minimal.

5. The “bar” does not only refer to the exam It is also the physical barrier in a courtroom. The bar separates the watchers or spectators from the trial participants, such as lawyers and judges. The origin of the term bar is the medieval furniture in a European courtroom that serves the same purpose as its modern equivalent.

Sweetened Condensed Milk – 14oz can (396g)

Sift the All Purpose Flour along with the Baking Powder and the Baking Soda.
03
Press down on any lumps.
04
Make a paste of the Dates using as little water as possible either in a blender or a food processor.
05
Melt the butter so it is soft and mix it to the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda & baking powder).
06
Mix in the Dates paste and the Sweetened Condensed Milk. Mix well.
07
Fold in the Walnuts as well.
08
Spray/Grease a baking pan and pour the batter into it.
09
Bake in a pre-heated oven (180 degrees C/350 degrees F) for 40 minutes in the oven.
10
Once done, take the cake out and allow it to stand for 5 minutes before taking it out of the pan.
11 12
Loosen the edges and flip the cake onto a cooling rack. Serve hot or cold. 13
I believe everyone got super excited when Season 1 was coming out, it is a different series, has light comedy and most importantly fashion and romantic drama are the main elements. Basically, it was one of the most streamed shows on Netflix. I remember watching this show and wanting to travel the world and eat ‘croissant au chocolat.” In the first season, the Chicago-based junior exec receives a promotion and is sent to Paris for a short-lived job to represent the interests of her American conglomerate, which has recently acquired a French boutique-marketing firm. At Savoir, she encounters a handful of suspicious snobs whom she eventually w ins over w ith her good-faith efforts.
Season2
Let us focus on season 2, now this season has started strangely with a monotone vibe. I think more effort has gone into dressing Emily with drop-dead gorgeous outfits and odd attire rather than writing this screenplay well. This season needed a new twist and a new story to it. Emily continues to navigate her love triangle with lifeless chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and her seemingly sweet friend Camille (Camille Razat). At the end of the previous season, Emily bedded Gabriel under the impression he had ended things with Camille and was leaving Paris to start his own restaurant in Normandy, only to learn he took a last-minute opportunity to stay in the city after all. Camille’s heartache over her breakup spurs Emily to try to peopleplease her way out of this mess, pushing Gabriel and Camille back together, despite her lingering feelings for him. I very much enjoyed the music by Ashley Park, gave it a spontaneous vibe. However, it is Kate Walsh who gives the true acting masterclass this season as Emily’s Chicago boss Madeline in a guest turn near the finale. Walsh is hilarious and high-spirited, playing a woman so tacky and corporate that you can’t help but recognize just how much Emily has matured since the pilot. I demand the spinoff Madeline in Paris! In the meantime, Emily may be a snivelling little careerist, but I’ll still watch season 3.

The platform brings together a unique fusion of policy makers, industry specialists, technology pioneers and the next generation of sustainability leaders. Working with its public and private partners, ADSW and its host Masdar welcomes stakeholders across a series of events that includes the IRENA Assembly, Atlantic Council Global Energy Forum, ADSW Summit, World Future Energy Summit, Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum, Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards Ceremony, WiSER Forum, Youth 4 Sustainability Hub, and The Festival at Masdar City.
Abu Dhabi sustainability Week 2022 World Energy Summit
This year, I was able to join the exhibition in person, together with the interns in our office – Harry and Jake Fawcett. We visited many stands and saw amazing environmental initiatives taken by Abu Dhabi government entities as well as commercial stands of international companies that were introducing new technologies – clean energy, turning the waste to H2 which can be used as car fuel, using solar power, storing power, producing drinking water from the air and other amazing inventions that will be normal in the near future. More details about the event can be found at https://abudhabisustainabilityweek.com
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) is a global platform for accelerating the world’s sustainable development. Since its inception in 2008, ADSW has focused on delivering action across three principles; Global Collaboration & Leadership, Economic Development, and Technology & Innovation. 16

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE
“Ransomware hits law firm with dozens of Fortune 500 clients” “Saudi Aramco becomes the latest victim of Cyber Attack” “Cyber insurance firm CNA Financial suffered a ransomware attack” “Cyber terrorist attempted to poison the water supply in Florida”
Many of us have become so used to it that we don’t even take notice of these headlines anymore. It’s just something that happens to other people. The unfortunate reality is that many organizations affected by cyberattacks are unable to recover. Even with the best security and recovery systems, the reputational damage associated with a data breach can be devastating. The only option is to prevent it from happening in the first place. And the first step in prevention is awareness. 18
Being the weakest link in the cyber security chain means that cybercriminals spend an enormous amount of time thinking of ways to get us to part with confidential information. This is called social engineering and it exploits human psychology, rather than technical hacking techniques, to gain access to buildings, systems, or data. Here are 5 tips for defending against social engineering techniques: 1. Be suspicious of any unsolicited messages (email, SMS, WhatsApp, etc.) – commonly called phishing where the attacker often creates a sense of urgency or takes advantage of breaking news events or holidays to lure victims. 2. Lockdown your social media – By oversharing, an attacker would be able to gain valuable information that could be used in phishing attacks. 3. Be suspicious of any unsolicited phone calls – Attackers often masquerade as bank employees or parcel delivery drivers to trick you into providing information. 4. Be suspicious of all links – Rather be safe than sorry. Attackers use embedded links in emails to redirect their victims to viruses and malware. 5. Never install free applications – A common trick by attackers is to hide malware inside “free” applications. By the time you realize that the application is useless, the damage is done.
