The Raven - English Version

Page 1

tamires para is a freelance concept artist, a new media artist and designer who, in her spare time, draws comics. she has a lot of promising unfinished projects and hopes to have time to finish them soon. her dream is to be free to do express herself through her art, games, comics, installations and whatever more wants out of her. the sky is the limit!

the suggestion to draw poe’s classic poem “the raven came from a close friend and, at first, was not taken seriously. after some alone time, she realized it would be the perfect text to explore a noir mood, almost mystic and simplistic in shapes and colors, although of figurative nature. this was her first real attempt at adapting, sequentializing and interpreting a literary piece. also, it was the first comic she drew from start to finish. she intends to release a more finished version in the future, along with some stronger framing and pacing.
