“In the Camera”
RABBITHOLE LABS
RABBITHOLE LABS
Appears to be 3 x horizontal logos: Which one to pick?
Try to incorporate the logo in the “O” w/o it reading like “Rabbi Thole”?
Orange colour reminds them of JOE FRESH. Any other colour palette options?
V. 3.1
“Logo in the ‘O’”
Previous logo - horizontal version 2 with icon in “o”
Design iterations… and fails with the horizontal layout
As you can see, the horizontal layout was not working since the icon could not be seen visibly enough and never appeared to be centered.
Original Horizontal version 3This version was still too small to fit a logo in it and I didn’t like how the words “HOLE” and “LAB” were on the same line as it could be read as “HOLE LAB”…
RABBIT HOLE LABS
Original Horizontal version 1This version was still too small to fit a logo in it and the logo never appeared to be centered above the text since the LABS text was thinner….
RABBITHOLE LABS
So I started looking at the stacked version as a starting point and not just as the mobile version…
RABBI T HOL E LAB S
Reworked the font weights and sizing to create thiseasier to read and allows the ‘O’ to be larger for…
UPDATED LOGO DESIGN:
Updated logo design: black on white
Updated logo design white on black
Updated logo design:
BENEFITS :
Entire company name fits into a square
Icon is more visible as the “O” in HOLE is much larger now ‘Rabbithole’ has the same font weight so it is apparent that it is not “HOLE labs” but RABBITHOLE labs.
When the font gets too small, the icon can appear above the font as in the original mobile design and still retain it’s visual integrity
LOGO DESIGNS:
Comparison from previous design with design decision explanations…
Horizontal Version 2 :
Updated Version:
Incorporated the icon into the letter “O” in HOLE. Consistency is the sizing and weights of the fonts as well as the icon.
RABBIT HOLE LABS
Mobile stacked Version 4 :
Updated Version: Icon to appear above the logo when text is too small and icon is no longer as visible.
“3 x horizontal logo layoutswhich one or all?”
MY THOUGHTS:
Due to the consistency of the font weight and sizing, I beieve you can use all of the logos - depending on the circumstance.
It is always good to have options for the layout.
I also believe it is a subtle but big improvement from the previous logos.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Why I did not bother experimenting with:
YELLOW - has a tendency to look muddy in different gradients - has a very youthful look and not good for companies that want to appear more established.
ORANGE- looked too much like JOE FRESH
PURPLE- same effect can be achieved with reds and blues which are easier colours to understand
