MEASURED DRAWING OF A CROISSANT
To convert a 3D croIssant into a 2D plan, photo of the croissant was taken from plan vi ew, front elevation and side elevation. Moreove, the bot tom of the croissant was scanned. These imag es accurately demonstrate the height, width and length of the real croissant. Linework, hatching and shading techniques are used to illustrate the silhouette, texture and ge omerties of the object. Uni Pin fineline 0.3 was used to do the line work. Crossed hatching lines have different density vary the shape of each part. 4B and 6B pencils were used to shoe the transition between dark and light. Each image was multiplied by three layers, linework, hatch ing and shading.

MODULE 01
The croissant was cut into four pieces. Each section was scanned as the prototype of section drawing. The process of section drawing is similar with the former drawings.

MODULE 04
This scene illustrates the thought of Macro Polo on the city of Dorothea. As the description in the story, “the nubile girls of each quarter marry youths of other quarters and their parents exchange the goods, the main characters in this perspective scene are nubile boys and girls. The atmosphere of the whole scene is in harmony. The interaction between them are also highlighted in the scene. Moreover, the location of thish scene is near the market space which is showed on the next page.
MODULE 04
This scene is created based on the description of the camel driver. This scene displays a crowded market space which inculdes the busy markets, ladies who is hanging out, the soldier and several market stuffs. The background uses a city in desert, which show that the city of Dorothea is located in the desert as well.

REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Through finishing four modules in this subject, I have learnt many operational skill and thinking about framework in design area which will benefits further design project. All four modules are quite challenging for me, a beginner in design area, but I have improved myself during this process. i have learnt to develope a abstract task into a finished product. This subject also introduced Photoshop, illustator, Indesign and Rhino to complete my work. In module 1, I have learnt the skills of handrawing,or rather hatching and shading. I also have a understanding about the axonometric drawing which helps a 3D object represent in 2D image. When I doing the layout of Module 1, I have learnt how to use notations clearly and accurately. Mofule 2 teached me the idea of axonometry by doing the axonometric drawing and tracing on the Adobe Illustrator. Module 3 introduced the idea of developable surface serving as the basis for this projext. I also have learnt to use Rhinoveros, a digital fabrication tool, to make the digital model into a physical one. Moreover, in this module lazer cutting was used to make the work more efficient. Module 4 is about the idea of frame, which pushes us to present objects in a limited space but convey the idea of the designer. Com pleting these four modules, I recognize that all the work need constantly test and rework. Every detail matters. Foundation of Design: Representation teached me the skills required to complete a design project and the thinking of design framework.
