When it comes to heart disease, everyone has a story. How could they not, considering cardiovascular disease causes one of every three deaths in the U.S., and 92.1 million Americans are living with some form of the disease or the effects of a stroke? In partnership with the American Heart Association and the 2018 Tampa Bay Heart Walk — held at Raymond James Stadium on November 10 — TAMPA Magazine is highlighting some of the local leaders making strides in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
