What a ride! What a fun ride this past year has been! I am still amazed and so thankful for your enthusiasm and support. As Tandem For Two has grown, I have realized that part of celebrating where we live is making the products in our communities and involving others on this journey. This one-woman, part-time business has grown from sewing pillows at my kitchen counter into a full-time crew. I couldn’t do this without my seamstresses, packaging guru, bookkeeper, and marketing gals. Their enthusiasm and willingness to grow with me has been wonderful! I love working with people that need the experience, the income, or the flexibility and are able to put their talents to a purpose. We are single and stay-at-home parents, retirees, the underemployed, and students who need first time job experience. I also partner with other small, local businesses that employ even more individuals and refugees where we live. As every year, 10% of our profits are given back to our communities. This year we hope to support as many refugee families as we can. As they have been torn from their communities, we want them to feel welcomed and become a part of ours. Tandem For Two is not only a creative outlet for individuals, or a champion of our communities, but also provides an avenue to celebrate the everyday activities of where we live with hand-crafted products that we take pride in creating. ORDERS Please contact us to request a line sheet and order form. Credit info will be requested at that time. A completed Form 3372, Michigan Sales & Use Tax Certificate of Exemption must be on file with us. Orders can be placed over the phone, email, or fax. Initial opening orders must be a minimum of $300 and reorders have no minimum amount, just quantity minimums as stated on the line sheet and page 14 of the catalog. PAYMENT PayPal, credit card, or corporate check are accepted. First orders must be prepaid prior to shipment. Repeat customer orders are net 30 days upon approval of a credit application and will be invoiced at time of shipment. SHIPPING & TURNAROUND TIME Shipping will be quoted per delivery location and included on the invoice. Our preferred carrier is UPS Ground, but we do use Fed Ex and USPS Priority as well. Since most items are custom made upon ordering, the typical turnaround times are 2 -3 weeks, not including shipping time. Please contact us if you need an order in a shorter time frame and we will be happy to work with you. First time orders for new custom designs need an additional 4 weeks for the research, design, and approval process. BACKORDERS Occasionally products may be out of stock. You will be notified of any items that are backordered. All other instock items from your order will be shipped. Once items are restocked, we will ship immediately, unless notified otherwise. RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS Any changes or cancellations to your order must be made via phone or email within 24 hours of placing your order. Exchanges are not accepted at this time. We inspect and take care to package all of our items for shipment, but sometimes damages occur. We will gladly refund or replace any items damaged or lost in shipment on claims made within 5 business days of receipt. We may ask for a photo of damaged items for insurance purposes. ZIP CODE PROTECTION We understand your desire to have unique and exclusive products and we will be happy to honor exclusivity of our products for retailers who have a storefront and purchase a minimum of $300/quarter or $1000 or more annually. If this minimum isn’t met, zip code protection will be revoked and other businesses within the zip code will be eligible to carry our products. MERCHANDISING MATERIALS We are happy to provide POP signage, professional merchandise photos for print or web, and help with your displays. Please let us know how we can help! All designs, illustrations, and other images that I have created are protected from misappropriation, misuse, and unauthorized use by copyright law and international laws. Our story... My sister and I took a pickup truck and filled it to the brim one spring as we traveled a 100mile yard sale through the Midwest. At the end of our trip, I found a classic Montgomery Ward tandem bike in a farmer’s barn. His kids and grandkids had grown and didn’t ride it. I had to have it and somehow managed to add it to the overflowing truck. We cleaned up that orange tandem bike and it became the main mode of transportation for me and my young daughter throughout our small beach town. Tandem For Two got it’s start in 2013 and the logo was born when my son suggested the name, complete with our orange tandem bike. He got it right. This tandem bike, that went from a Midwest farm to a small beach town, sums up all that we love about where we live. It’s bike basket has carried veggies from our farmers’ market, towels for the beach, picnic dinners to the park, and even our dachshund gets an occasional ride. It’s about slowing down and exploring and celebrating what we find, whether that’s where we live or where life takes us. TM
