SOHO Kunming The new lifestyle, SOHO, is becoming more and more popular among Chinese young generations. SOHO China, a great company dedicated to SOHO development in China, is now accelerating to build landmark SOHOs in big cities all over the country. This SOHO design in Kunming, Yunnan Province, represents my thoughts about how SOHO can fit in a city context and improve life.
Street Pavilion As a part of unique views in China, street sales exist in most cities and towns while they remains illegal and are often violently expelled by Chinese city inspectors. By analyzing commercial pattern of different vendors and different spacial demands, a street pavilion which integrates these street sale events and avoids contradictions between illegal vendors and city management is elaborately designed.
Shopping Aboard It’s astonishing to know that the cargo ships manufactured in China every year exceed the need of the whole world . Large quantities of new ships result in the retire of old ones. Is there any possibility to bring life to the retiring carriers and even make them contribute to GDP? This is a shopping center design which brings both economic and environmental benefits.
Twisting Terminal By analyzing the existing Yokohama Project designed by FOA and creating our own ‘field‘ and ‘object‘, we combine the technique with interesting form to give birth to new terminal design. Twisting is presented both outside and inside, through connection of ‘field‘ and ‘object‘ to interior space. The interaction between ‘field‘ and ‘object‘ highlights conflict and integration.

Vertical Park Is there a form of architecture that can generates more value to the city than converntional architecture does? The design is a 300-meter-tall tower called vertical park. Similar to the influence of the Central Park brought to New York, the vertical garden greatly increases the value of the surrounding areas, contibuting to the city both economically and visually.
