Ranchos Elementary

Dear Ranchos Elementary Family and Community: Welcome to Ranchos Elementary School. We hope you and your family are safe and healthy during this unique, difficult and uncertain time. We have missed having our students in our building – they are the beating hearts of our school who give it life and make it the wonderful place it is to be.

I want to take this opportunity to thank our RES families for their support, understanding and continued dedication to their student’s learning during this COVID crisis and stay at home orders.

Given the circumstances and little time to adequately prepare, I am proud of the way the RES staff, students and families have handled the demands of remote learning.

While we currently don’t have all the answers to the many questions that our families have regarding the start of the new year, do know that the safety and health of our students, staff and community continue to be the number one priority. We are planning for the upcoming school year thoughtfully, thoroughly and with guidance from State Officials.

I feel extremely fortunate to be working with such a talented and remarkable staff – cooks, teachers, custodians, secretary, nurse, educational assistants, bus drivers, counselors and social workers who spend countless hours training, caring, preparing and planning for our students. Whether instruction is provided in-person or virtually, our staff will plan lessons that are engaging, utilize research-based best practices, and analyze data to

determine individual skill levels and instructional needs. We are dedicated to creating successful learners by expecting academic excellence and holding high expectations for all our students. In addition to academics, our focus is to also create a safe and positive learning environment. The educational team and students will promote and model responsible and respectful behavior creating a positive and safe learning atmosphere where teachers are able to teach, and students are able to learn. As we approach the start of the school year on August 13th, we will communicate with families regarding our instructional learning plan via our district’s website, email, phone, and news publications.
