In un contesto abitativo riconducibile agli anni ’30 a Milano, 120 mq, ristrutturati con criteri di razionalità, compongono la dimora scelta da un art-dealer newyorkese nel cuore del quartiere Isola, tra gli atelier di creativi, artisti d’avanguardia e designer emergenti. Il progetto ha mirato alla valorizzazione degli elementi originali, portati alla luce dopo la rimozione di finiture palinsesto che ne occultavano la visione, mortificando fascino e atmosfera. Riemergono i pavimenti in parquet a lisca di pesce nel salone ampio (somma di due ambienti) e le marmette in cemento dello studio: particolari che amplificano il loro carattere in unione a
materiali naturali come il travertino e il rovere. La planimetria iniziale è letta con un nuovo ritmo che enfatizza spazi e invoglia il fluire energico della luce. Il corridoio segna la traccia-diaframma su cui si aprono gli altri ambienti attraverso varchi disegnati dal rovere e resi trasparenti dagli scorrevoli in cristallo. In tutte le zone della casa, dalla cucina passando alla camera e ai bagni sino alla terrazza, riecheggia una scelta estetica di ordine naturale scevra da rigori ma logica. Gli interni ben accolgono pezzi di modernariato e design storico che dialogano in continuità con l’arredo progettato su misura dal gusto contemporaneo.

In a living environment attributable at 30s, in Milan, 120 sqm renovated with rationality criteria, are the dwelling of a New-Yorker art-dealer, in the middle of Isola district, among creative ateliers, avant-garde artists and emerging designers. The project was aimed at the enhancement of the original elements, brought to light after removal of finishes-schedule that concealed the vision, mortifying charm and atmosphere. Herringbone parquet floors of the large living room, sum of two spaces and marmette floor in concrete of the studio emerge here: particulars that amplify their characters in conjunction with natural materials such as travertino and oak.
The initial plan has been read with a new rhythm, to emphasize spaces and encourage the energetic light flow. The corridor marks the trace-diaphragm onto other environments open themselves through gates designed by the oak and made transparent by glass sliding. In all the house area, from the kitchen through the room and bathrooms up to the terrace echo an aesthetic choice of natural order, free of rigors, but logical. The interior well welcome pieces of modern and historical design that dialogue in continuity with the costum-designed decor with contemporary taste.

In un elegante palazzo milanese in stile liberty, un appartamento di 195 mq posto al piano nobile si dischiude ad una nuova vita contemporanea guardando al passato con piglio attento pur mantenendo continuità con la natura dell’edificio che lo accoglie. Gli interni si articolavano secondo la classica disposizione dell’avvicendamento di stanze lungo il corridoio; da una parte i salotti affaccianti sul fronte principale e dall’altra le camere prospettanti il cortile interno, insieme ai servizi dalla planimetria stretta e lunga e la cucina. L’intervento ha visto una ridistribuzione dello spazio secondo estetiche e necessità attuali:
Il progetto ha preservato e valorizzato le finiture originali, il parquet a Chevron e le marmette decorate in cemento, i soffitti con cornici in stucco, gli infissi esterni e interni, come le porte in legno e vetro satinato, i caloriferi originali mantenuti e migliorati con speciali vernici.
l’ampia zona giorno è realizzata dalla fusione di tre stanze in origine divise.
Ai materiali d’origine si sommano la resina e la pietra lavica di Caltagirone per i bagni dipinta a mano. Lo spirito della casa è tracciato dall’uso del colore che riecheggia la genia liberty del palazzo: guizzi d’oro e velature a soffitto verde acqua, azzurro chiaro, rosa antico che nel corridoio e nella cucina si attualizzano in resina e nuance accennate e che si ispirano alla tradizione minimalista delle opere di Ettore Spalletti.
Dall’ingresso si accede allo studio attraverso un arco ribassato ovale, mutuato da stilemi di gusto liberty e attraverso il quale si apre lo sguardo nella sala. Gli spazi riservati ai bagni si sono ampliati in forma quadrangolare a cui si accede direttamente dalla camera. Inoltre l’ambiente cucina è stato totalmente modificato.
L’arredo è scelto tra pezzi di modernariato degli anni ’40 e ’50 con incursioni nel design contemporaneo e complementi prodotti su disegno definiti da linee spezzate e asimmetriche. Il calibro delle luci, il loro riflettersi su specchi e superfici donano un tono scenografico ad una autentica pièce teatrale privata e domestica.

Located in an elegant Milanese liberty style building, this 195 square meter apartment on the first floor, this special space opens onto a new and exciting contemporary design that graciously uses elements of the building’s past iconic history as it boldly welcomes the enthusiasm and prosperity of the future. The interior space was originally divided into many small rooms branching off of a central hallway common in many classic and historic buildings, living room areas in the front and the other rooms overlooking the courtyard finishing with the kitchen in the back. To meet the space’s current needs, it was thoughtfully, carefully and aesthetically reorganized: The very large living room area was created by joining three smaller rooms, the study visible and framed by an oval arch tastefully respecting and reflecting the space’s original liberty style. The kitchen was enlarged by
incorporating smaller “private” corners, thus releasing all of its past secrets into a new dynamic and functional living space. While carefully preserving the original finishes such as flooring, terrace concrete, putty frames, door frames and radiators, new original and eclectic materials were incorporated such as new resin products and Caltagirone lava stone accenting the hand-painted bathrooms. The furniture was chosen to reflect the modern art era of the 1940’s and 1950’s with integrating of contemporary design and furnishings defined by broken and asymmetrical lines. The contemporary lighting is subtly reflected off of mirrors and surfaces creating a dramatic theatrical atmosphere that is visually stunning yet welcoming, warm and homey.

Una gru sul tetto di Milano Un attico nel cuore di Milano, a pochissimi passi dal Duomo, un intervento complesso e totale. L’intervento ha previsto il Fit-out per una nuova organizzazione degli spazi interni e la creazione di una serra in copertura con vista sulla città. La logistica ha rappresentato un fattore importante e cruciale. L’approvvigionamento dei materiali {i nuovi serramenti di grande dimensione ad apertura unica, l’intera carpenteria per la struttura dei nuovi solai e vetri dei parapetti della terrazza e della serra} è stato effettuato tramite l’installazione in copertura di una gru automontante con braccio da 25 metri trasportata e montata durante le ore notturne da un mezzo speciale attraverso le vie del centro.

Our cranes “on the roof � of Milan A penthouse in the heart of Milan, near the city Cathedral, a complex and delicate procedure. We were involved in a complete demolition of the load-bearing wall in order to re-organizze internal space and the creation of a greenhouse on the roof of the building, with a beautiful view on the city center. Logistic was a key factor. Material supply, heavy and huge building hardware, steel and concrete structures. All these material was carried in, through a self-mounted crane positioned during the night on the roof of the builing.

Nel corso del 2016 la Taramelli Group è stata impegnata nella ristrutturazione di una meravigliosa residenza immersa nel verde ad un’ora di macchina da Londra. L’intervento di ristrutturazione, ancora in fase di completamento, si è posto l’obiettivo di recuperare e valorizzare le finiture originali e al contempo integrare colori e materiali appartenenti alle tendenze contemporanee. Ciò che ne scaturisce è un elegante gioco di stili tra presente e passato. I nostri artigiani italiani sono riusciti nell’opera di recuperare elementi ormai gravemente ammalorati quali mosaici e pavimentazioni originali di fine ‘800, restituendogli l’originaria bellezza. Parte delle strutture portanti lignee dei solai sono state rinforzate mediante un delicato e non invasivo intervento. Travi di acciaio e lamiere grecate collaboranti garantiscono il necessario sostegno, senza però pesare eccessivamente sulle fondazioni originali.
During the 2016, Taramelli Group was involved in the restructuring of a beautiful Edwardian building surrounded by green lawn, Situated a stone’s throw from London. This renovation, (currently being finalized), set itself the goals of recover and enhance the original design, and at the same time, integrate colors and materials belonging to a contemporary style.
Our craftsman succeeded in the work of recovering the badly damaged original components such as mosaics and pavements. Some load-bearing elements were reinforced through a minimally invasive intervention: steel beams and composite slab of concrete fill over corrugated sheeting ensure the necessary support without any additional excessive weight on the original foundation.

Pausa di respiro dalla frenetica Shenzhen. In un’oasi sul mare, nei pressi di un piccolo villaggio, si staglia un complesso residenziale perfettamente integrato nella scogliera, immerso tra vegetazioni boschive e sentieri di sabbia. La volontà è quella di creare un ambiente essenziale dai colori caldi. I vincoli imposti al progetto sono soltanto quelli di un guscio esistente, per il restante un totale stravolgimento: nuovi spazi, percorsi e viste. 3348 piastrelle di marmo travertino romano importate dall’Italia rivestono internamente lo spazio dove vivere:due piani ed un tetto giardino collegati tra loro da una scala in ferro e rivestita interamente. Unica eccezione al marmo il legno di Tek, piallato e bisellato a mano per le stanze da letto, ulteriormente trattato e protetto per le terrazze. Difficile descrivere quanto, pur mantenendo le volumetrie, l’edificio originale sia stato totalmente rivoluzionato.

Taking a break away from the busy city of Shenzhen. An seaside oasis, near a small village, this residential complex is built on a cliff between windy sand paths and lush vegetation. Our aim was to create an integral environment bathed in warm colors. The only boundry we had on this project was that of its existing structural shell. For the rest we had carte blanche to create new spaces, paths and views. 3348 roman travertine marble tiles were imported from Italy to set the foundation of the internal living spaces: two floors and a roof garden connected by an iron staircase all completely covered in marble. Together in elegant contrast to the marble, we installed Teak Wood flooring and moldings all hand-beveled for the bedrooms, and further treated and protected for the exterior terraces. It is hard to say how much, while maintaining the volumes, the original building has been completely revolutionized.
