TEXANS ACHIEVE COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES

• Our 800-acre Agriculture Center includes 12 unique facilities to learn outside the classroom • We offer one of the largest agriculture education and animal science programs in the country • We are the only university in Texas with an operational teaching and research dairy farm • We rank second in Texas for the number of students majoring in an agriculture degree • We have a formal partnership with Texas A&M for students looking to pursue their Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) • Have the opportunity to study wildlife in southern Africa and the Iberian Peninsula or agribusiness in Peru and the Czech Republic through our study abroad program

Professors really engage with the students in classrooms and labs, which makes it easier to learn the material. I truly believe my time in the college will prepare me to teach students of my own. I have gained a passion for all aspects of agriculture. I absolutely would recommend the college to anyone. - Katie Wyatt, Agricultural Services and Development with Teacher Certification, Class of 2023

COLLEGE OF BUSINESS • Our Accounting program holds one of the highest CPA pass rates in Texas • Enjoy the chance to study abroad in Italy, Ireland, Peru, Latvia, Cuba, or Australia • Graduate with your Bachelor’s and Master’s in 5 years through our accelerated MBA program • Get involved with hands-on opportunities like the Tartan Project, Entrepreneurs of Erath business plan competition, and Executive in Residence

The College of Business has done an amazing job preparing me for life after graduation. Our professors are wonderful and really care about you and where you go and how you do in life. They want you to move on to bigger and better things. - Laura Dobson, Marketing, Class of 2021

COLLEGE OF EDUCATION • We have produced more than 1,200 educators over the past five years through our elementary and secondary teacher education programs • Our psychology and elementary teacher education programs are two of the most popular programs of study on campus • In the past five years, our Department of Psychological Sciences has received nearly $2 MILLION in research funding Tarleton gave me the resources, skills and, most of all, the heart that I needed to achieve. Everything I learned while at Tarleton, I have put to use every day with my students. And it’s working. A student came up to me and said, ‘Ms. Badillo, I know you’ve only been here three weeks, but you’re so good that it feels like you’ve been here forever.’ When she said that, I knew I had Tarleton to thank. It has made an enormous impact on my life, and I will be forever grateful.

• Our one-of-a-kind teacher preparation and certification model gets students in the field in their very first semester

Engineering at Tarleton has provided opportunities for me to learn and grow in multiple facets, not just in the classroom. The faculty and staff within the Mayfield College of Engineering are always extremely supportive and ready to assist in any manner possible. The new facilities here ensure I can access the necessary resources to succeed. Engineering at Tarleton has taught me the importance of teamwork, discipline, and how to solve problems to help others effectively.

- Danielle Badillo, Tarleton graduate and fifth-grade teacher, Class of 2018

MAYFIELD COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

- Jayce K. Thedford, Double Major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Class of 2024

COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES • Our School of Nursing provides hands-on learning with a fully functioning ICU and mock hospital, and high-fidelity mannequins • Nursing school graduates have an average NCLEX pass rate of 89% on their first attempt at taking the exam

The bonds and friendships I have gained through this program will never be broken. We have become one big Texan family. We also can thank the amazing teachers who have believed in us since day one. - Paige Olsen, LVN to BSN graduate, May 2020

• Our School of Kinesiology houses state-of-the-art labs and equipment for student learning, including 3D cadavers, MRI tables, the Laboratory for Wellness and Motor Behavior, the Kinetic Performance Laboratory, and athletic training facilities • Students in the School of Kinesiology earn 300 hours of real work experience before graduating

COLLEGE OF LIBERAL AND FINE ARTS • Our School of Criminology offers a certificate in Crime Analysis and teaches skills for utilizing industry-standard software to perform crime analysis and mapping • Our music business students receive hands-on experience in the music technology lab, multi-track recording studio, and entrepreneurial degree track • Our Fine Arts Department hosts weekly student productions, including recitals, theater productions, comedy nights, art exhibitions, and poetry readings • Our Media Convergence Lab produces studentrun live cable and online broadcasts and is home to the Texan News Service student-run newspaper • Enhance your photography skills by joining the study abroad trip to Iceland

My favorite part about the college is the student-to-professor ratio. This has allowed me to gain a closer relationship with my professors. Whether I need extra help on an assignment or advice on career plans, the faculty make themselves available. The coursework is relevant and up-to-date. Several of my courses require event volunteer hours, and this hands-on experience gives me an advantage when seeking employment after graduation. I am confident that my education from Tarleton will prepare me for many career opportunities. - Bridget Browning, Communications Major with a concentration in Public Relations and Event Management (Minor in Technical Writing and English), Class of 2021

COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS • Our Timberlake Biological Field Station is a 790-acre ranch located on the Colorado River used for undergraduate environmental research • More than $60,000 in grants are available for our students to carry out research projects • Our Astronomy Education Research program allows students to use a state-of-the-art 32” telescope to conduct research at our Tarleton observatory • Provide academic support to other students with an oncampus job in the math or science clinic

The faculty in the College of Science and Technology have been amazing mentors. We have had many conversations about what I want to do with my life, and they offered great advice on how to achieve my goals. The connections I have made with faculty, staff and fellow students will impact me for the rest of my days. I know that I am equipped for success. I am extremely grateful that Tarleton’s gates are always open because it will forever be my home. - Tiffany Lee, Biomedical Sciences Major, pre-medical track, Class of 2020
