TRANSFER GUARANTEED AWARD PROGRAM (T-GAP) The Transfer Guaranteed Award Program (T-GAP) aligns with the 120-year vision of Tarleton’s founder and benefactor to provide a high-quality university education to students who otherwise might not have the chance. Tarleton State University will guarantee scholarship levels to entering fall 2021 transfer students who qualify. A FAFSA and General Scholarship Application must be on file to receive this award.

PRIORITY DEADLINE: JANUARY 15 The FAFSA application will be available beginning October 1 each year. Create your FSA ID at fsaid.ed.gov. This will be used to file your FAFSA. Complete the FAFSA at studentaid.ed.gov. Utilize the IRS Data Retrieval Tool when completing the FAFSA. This allows the FAFSA application to automatically be populated with actual tax information filed with the IRS. Visit tarleton.edu/finaid/apply for additional application tips.

CAMPUS HOUSING STEPHENVILLE CAMPUS ONLY RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS Tarleton's Stephenville campus supports a live-on requirement of two years for first-time in college students (FTICs) and transfer students with less than 12 credit hours. FTICs are often incoming freshmen or students with AP or dual credit. Transfer students with more than 12 credit hours are required to live on campus for one year.

WHAT IS CONSIDERED TRANSFERABLE CREDIT?
Transferable credit is college-level academic credit completed at a regionally accredited institution. Credits considered developmental, remedial, technical, or vocational will not transfer for admission purposes. Students wishing to utilize technical or vocational courses should consult an advisor. Credit completed at a non-regionally accredited institution may be reviewed for articulation at the student’s request. Credit must be considered academic and the instructor is required to hold a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the course discipline. The student will be required to submit the following information: Documentation from the institution stating the instructor of the course as well as their curriculum vitae/educational background. Contact information of who provided the above documentation. Any additional documentation requested by Transfer Services. Documentation may be delivered via the following methods:

BACTERIAL MENINGITIS REQUIREMENT
All students, under the age of 22, entering an institution of higher education (public and private) are required to receive a bacterial meningitis vaccination or provide exemption/decline documentation. To submit your vaccination records please visit your MyGateway account. You will upload your record to the Magnus Health Portal.
