An easier way to do business

WELCOME TO EPOD Here is some important information regarding the safe use of your ePODÂ equipment. 1. You must keep your device charged at all times. 2. You must keep your device with you at all times when working for Tarmac as you will not be allowed to work without it. 3. You must log in at the beginning of each shift and log out and the end of each shift. This allows the device to receive essential updates. 4. You must complete your Vehicle Checks before commencing work. You may do this on your device or you must confirm that you have already done these. 5. If your device is not mounted then it must be kept in a safe and secure place and NOT loose int he cab as it could potentially become a projectile in case of a collision.

6. Your screen will go black when movement is detected, this is a safety precaution and cannot be manually overidden. 7. You must only use your device if you are stationary and in a safe place. 8. You must not have the device in your hand IF you need to exit your vehicle and you must always maintain 3 points of contact when exiting and entering your cab. 9. If your device is damaged then a spare is kept in the Weighbridge or Batching Cabin. If you need to exchange a faulty or damaged device then you will need to report the occurance to the ePOD Helpdesk on 0345 0711 350 and they will activate the new device for you.

Paper tickets will be turned off by the end of 2018. You will continue to get a paper ticket and need to capture the customer signature on this until paper tickets are discontinued later this year, after which you will also capture the Customer signature on glass. Until paper tickets are turned off you will continue to get a paper ticket and must use the device to familiarise yourself with the process. You will continue to get the customers signature on the ticket until paper tickets cease to exist, after which this will also be captured on your device. You will need to interact with the device at key points in your delivery process by pressing the buttons at the correct time - just follow the on-screen instructions. Please follow the steps below to start using your device. More details on how to log in and use your device can be found in the ePOD User Guide which is available at the plant. 1. Turn on your device 2. Swipe the screen to unlock 3. Select the PODFather icon 4. Log in: Username = Registration number (no spaces) Password = Registration number (no spaces) Driver Name = Please enter your full name

5. Complete your vehicle checks or confirm these have been done 6. Jobs can now be received on your device, press the job when it appears to commence 7. Follow the on-screen instructions 8. Log out at the end of your shift

There may be circumstances under which you see old jobs appearing when they first log in. If this happens, do not to be alarmed and ensure you select the correct job for your delivery - the old jobs will disappear from your device automatically after a few days. It is important that the buttons are pressed at the correct time (i.e when you loaded and ready to leave our plant or when you arrive on a Customer’s site) Doing this will ensure that you are paid promptly for each of your loads. Pressing all of the buttons at once after the job has finished will risk that ticket getting held up and this could potentially delay your payment in respect of that load. If you have any problems with your ePOD installation or Device then please call the dedicated helpline on 0345 0711350 and they will be able to assist you. This helpline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on every day apart from Christmas Day. If you have any general questions then please contact epod.enquiries@tarmac.com and a member of the team will get back to you.
