CHOWDER TRAIL What better way to taste Nova Scotia than to enjoy a bowl of seafood chowder? Every bowl tells the story of who we are and where we’re from. We take the finest seafood from our cold, clean waters and pair it with produce from our lush, fertile valleys. It’s warm and comforting, much like the character of our people. We acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki,

6 CHOWDER TIpS:
HOW TO mAKE THE BEST SEAFOOD CHOWDER 1. (Not So) Secret Ingredient: For amazing chowder every time, use fresh, Nova Scotia seafood. 2. Gluten-Free: Use rice or potatoes as your thickening agent instead of flour. 3. What Grows Together Goes Together: Take the bounty from our pristine ocean and pair it with our exceptional agricultural produce. 4. Richness Reigns: Don’t be afraid to use real cream and/or butter and finish with fresh herbs. 5. Don’t Overcook Your Seafood: Seafood should be the last ingredients you add. 6. Perfect Pairing: Pair your chowder with a Nova Scotian white wine like Tidal Bay or a full-bodied local craft beer.
