ˈव़िग(र्) strength or energy | शक्ति या Vigor is a synonym of energy. The difference between Vigour and Energy is that Vigour (American spelling) is resilient strength of body or mind while energy is the impetus behind all motion and all activity.

“I am reading the newsletter since October 2018. I enjoy reading it as it keeps me connected to Tata STRIVE. VIGOUR as the new name for the newsletter means zeal, positive energy and enthusiasm and that is exactly what Tata STRIVE means to me.”
Vigour and youth are semantically related. Sometimes you can use "Vigour" instead a noun "Youth".
It is the mind that makes the man, and our vigour is in our immortal soul. - Isaac Watts Years steal fire from the mind as vigour from the limb, And life's enchanted cup but Sparkes near the brim. - Lord Byron Look here — we shall all die! Bear this in mind always, and then the spirit within will wake up. Then only, meanness will vanish from you, practicality in work will come, you will get new vigour in mind and body, and those who come in contact with you will also feel that they have really got something uplifting from you. - Swami Vivekananda
From the Editor’s desk Hi, The team at Tata STRIVE is filled with the energy that represents youth. Youth represent the change and change is the only constant! With our endeavor to keep the change continuous, our newsletter team came together to finally come up with a new name for this newsletter which now completes its 31st Edition. And I am really happy to hand over the 1st edition of 2021 clubbed for Jan & Feb. The newsletter will continue to have the News from the Center and other articles and we keep making it even more updated as it steps further. “VIGOUR” stands for the energy of the YOUTH and for us it means, "We STRIVE to unleash the untapped energy, the tremendous capability of today's youth; by unlearning the past and learning the NEW". With the new year settling in, we are on the verge of closing the FY 20-21 and in process of closing on our Mobilization plan for 21-22. The Center team also has a bunch of new team members who will be introduced in this edition. Do share your feedback and keep writing to us.

Pick Of The Month 26th January 1950, the glorious day when the constitution which binds us together, which leads us in the right direction, which establishes and enforces laws and legislation in the country for the betterment of the people came into existence. 26th January 1950 was the day when “Constitution of India” (Bhāratīya Saṃvidhāna) came into the effect and India became “The Republic of India”, and the glorious day got declared as the Republic Day. A day which every Indian celebrates with Pride, Joy and Happiness. The first-ever Republic Day celebration is held in the national capital, New Delhi, at the Rajpath before the President of India. On this day, ceremonious parades take place at the Rajpath, which are performed as a tribute to India; its unity in diversity and rich cultural heritage. Certainly, the flag hosting is done by the Honorable President of India but the flag of patriotism and love towards our nation got hosted in every Indian’s heart at the same moment. Respect towards Tricolor – The flag of India (Tiranga) can’t be described in words. How can anyone pen down the importance of his national flag in which we fold bodies of our soldiers, a flag which we keep on top of our shoulders, a flag which means more than our lives to every Indian, and a flag which represents every Indian and culture of India.

We at Tata Strive, Pune consider ourselves fortunate enough, that we get the chance to celebrate this glorious day at our center every year. Though this time the Invisible enemy (COVID 19) tried stopping us from doing the same, but the patriotism in our blood was stronger than this invisible enemy. We followed all the safety precautions, as fighting with COVID was also a Rashtra Seva at this time, and celebrated Republic Day with the same spirit, colorfulness and joy. With the hope in our hearts that this Republic Day, along with obeying our constitution every Indian will follow the COVID Safety guidelines too.
My Story Aamir and Vijay, two friends from school; post their Tata STRIVE training in BFSI- BDE, joined ICICI bank for close to 2 years successfully and eventually took their first step towards entrepreneurship by starting a Customer Service Centre for ICICI Bank in Village-Akluj, Taluka-Indapur, District-Solapur.
Aamir Shaikh and Vijay Ekatpure participated in Indapur Job fair where Tata STRIVE was participating for mobilization. After successful completion of the training, both of them were selected and chose to work with ICICI bank. Aamir worked in the Personal loan department while Vijay worked in Business cards section. After a few months when there were a few vacancies in their hometown, Akluj. They immediately took a transfer to their hometown. Vijay interacting with customers at CSC
Soon they started the CSC Centre for ICICI Bank in partnership in their hometown Akluj in October 2019. It took them a while to set up. And Aamir left the job to devote his full time to business while Vijay is still working with ICICI Bank. Due to COVID-19 people prefer CSC over going directly to the bank, that has benefited the business. On an average, they are generating an income of INR 20,000/- per month through CSC. Aamir is also working for DSA (Direct selling agent) for different Private Sector banks for personal loan and home loan. They are also catering to small villages nearby Akluj. They are also working towards getting their own DSA code which will help him to take mortgage loan. In their own words, “We learnt about the course during counselling. We joined the 2 months program, which helped us in learning Customer relationship management, small details about Sales and marketing, convincing customers, Grooming and social etiquettes. It was challenging to leave our village life and adapt to the lifestyle of Pune but Tata STRIVE gave us that confidence”. “A normal person does only know about Cashier, Manager and accounting roles in banking but there is a sea of different profiles in banks and it has an ecosystem of its own. We could learn all about the world of banking only because of Tata STRIVE. We can’t thank them enough”. Among the 2, Aamir is an outgoing, friendly and Extrovert person, while Vijay is a silent, observant and Introvert. However, during the training, they took initiatives and shown teamwork. While Aamir believed in trying out new things, Vijay believed in observing and absorbing. Aamir was a kinesthetic learner while Vijay was an auditory and visual learner.
My Skill Story HISTORY/HERITAGE AND HINDSIGHTS are powerful teachers. The COVID helped me to connect the dots between my yesterdays and hopeful tomorrow’s.

Where else to start, other than a daily ritual of drawing KOLAM in front of my home a ritual which is practiced in TAMIL NADU with strings of Rice powder pinched between the thumb and index finger, trying to offer artistic expressions with the help of Pulli (Dots) Tangles (Sikku ) Padi (Parallel) alpana(Bengali Style) Pookalam (Kerala Style ) and the current creative Rangoli (trending) This ground painting edged me to read about the history of KOLAM and decided to use the asthetics on Earthern Pots and walls. To further my knowledge subscribed to a You tube channel called “ just not Rangoli “” and practiced free style Kolam. The “DOT GRID “ EXERCISE or Kolam which means beauty is apparently a representation of infinity, the cycle of birth and Re-birth and enhances a perfect symmetry of curved lines built around dots which represents the point at which creation begins – a symbol of cosmos.
While using this pattern on Earthern ware way my mentor shared with me an order of matrix , a rule set which is nothing less than a “” Mathematical set “ For Eg: R1C11-R2C13-R3C2 where R is row C is column and apparently is considered as an ALPHABET. The No ½ denotes where the curve has to drawn. Rule No 2: is R2C1s: where s denotes a straight line, Similarly B3C2 r is drawn where r implies the curve must be drawn at the right side. The latest form of KOLAM/Rangoli gra mmar can be represented this way too apparently
