STATE OF THE INDUSTRY BUSINESS LUNCHEON

Hear a fireside chat from local leaders

On Wednesday, Aug. 30, the Texas City-La Marque Chamber will host the annual “State of Industry” business luncheon, featuring a fireside chat about updates from leaders of several local industrial plants. The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Doyle Convention Center.

This community has been a strategic partner to the petrochemical industry since the early 20th century. It is home to the third largest concentration of crude-based refining manufacturers in the United States and the 15th largest port in the nation. There are more than 4,000 manufacturing and petrochemical jobs in Texas City-La Marque. The city and community proudly support the local industries in their endurance and expansion.

Attend this luncheon to hear updates on safety, performance, ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) and more. Plus, enjoy networking with leaders from the local business community and elected officials.

TEXAS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE EXECUTIVES CONFERENCE

The Texas City-La Marque employees, President/CEO Tim Culp, Vice President Stefanie Aldrich, and Director of Communications Marielle Mascorro attended the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE) conference in Odessa, Texas from June 27-29.

The Chamber thanks the following sponsors for making this event possible (as of July 5): AMOCO Federal Credit Union, Ashland, City of Texas City, College of the Mainland, Dow, Eastman, Marathon, The Port of Texas City, TNMP, UTMB Health and Valero.

Tickets are $25 per person or $250 for a reserved table of eight. Luncheon Sponsors receive a reserved table, recognition at the event and print and online publicity for $1,000.

To make reservations or request further information, contact Chamber Vice President Stefanie Aldrich at 409-9351408 or stefanie@TCLMchamber.com.

BUSINESS OF THE MONTH

Gus’ Restaurant Inc.

3503 Palmer Highway, Texas City 409-948-8004

Gus’ has served Southeast Texas with fresh, generous and hand-prepared portions for more than 50 years. recipes that were passed to him from his mom. These recipes are still integral to the core success of Gus’.

The interior of Gus’ reflects the atmosphere the restaurant’s customers have come to love; an invitation to come as you are to enjoy great food and even better company. Gus’ is open Monday – Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Gu’s Restaurant Inc. is a long-time dedicated supporter of the Chamber of Commerce. Kudos to this Business of the Month!
