Ergon Energy is proud to support the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers for the 18th consecutive year. It’s the ninth year we’ve brought you the Ergon Energy Flower, Food & Wine Festival. We love supporting the Toowoomba community in making the iconic Carnival of Flowers one of the best festivals in Australia. We believe contributing to the communities where our customers and employees live and work is just as important as providing a safe and reliable power supply. There’s no better place than at the Ergon Energy Flower, Food & Wine Festival, where everyone can enjoy the best of what our wonderful region has to offer. We look forward to seeing you there. GENERAL ENTRY TERMS PASS OUTS: Festival attendees are welcome to come and go from the Festival on the day of paid entry. Please ask for a pass out stamp from our staff located at the exit. RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL: As an event for all ages, the Ergon Energy Flower, Food & Wine Festival is committed to the responsible service of alcohol. Patrons cannot bring alcohol into the Festival precinct. All bags, containers, prams and baskets are subject to a full search at entry and patrons found to be bringing alcohol or restricted items to the Festival will be asked to dispose of these items and may be refused entry. If you are over 18 years of age and wish to purchase or sample alcohol, you may need to produce ID in the form of a Passport, Driver’s License or an 18+ Card. Upon entry to the Festival, you may be issued with a wristband to identify that you are permitted to drink alcohol at the event. Anyone found to be supplying or buying alcohol for a minor will be evicted from the Festival and will possibly face criminal charges. The sale of alcohol will cease at 9.30pm.
ITEMS NOT PERMITTED: Festival attendees must not bring food to the event. Food items that are found during a search, or at any time during the event, will be confiscated. Festival attendees may not bring in alcohol, illegal drugs and controlled substances, weapons or other items deemed dangerous. SMOKING: The Festival is a smoking free environment. Smoking is only permitted in the designated outdoor smoking area clearly signed within the Festival. Please note the consumption of food and drink is not permitted in this area. ATM: Two ATMs located within the Festival. PARK & RIDE: The park & ride pickup/drop off zone is located in Margaret Street directly outside the entry to the Festival. TAXI: The taxi rank is located in Margaret Street directly outside the entry to the Festival. Garden City Cabs 13 32 22. FARM TO PLATE SPACE Sample the best produce our region has to offer with daily tastings from 11am to 5pm. Live cooking demonstrations fill the air with amazing aromas and tempt your tastebuds. MIGUEL The Smiling Spaniard is a whirlwind! His enthusiasm and passion are infectious. Miguel has developed a talent for incorporating Spanish ingredients and cooking styles into his Australian menus — come and have a taste of Miguel’s magic at Carnival 2016. LOW AND SLOW BBQ DEMONSTRATIONS Come and meet some of Australia’s top competition Pit Masters for tastings and technique tips on low and slow Texas style BBQ and traditional wood fired smoking, all showcasing local regional produce.

Can’t tell your pale ale from your pilsner? No worries, our Beer Buffs sessions will fix that. Find out all about beer styles, flavours and food-matching plus sample some great local brews too. Cheers to that. Presented by The Spotted Cow & The Burleigh Brewing Company.
Mmm, that’s smooth, complex and oaked. Learn how to taste and describe wine like an expert at free sessions in the Wine Bar then wander through the pop-up cellar doors and put your newfound knowledge to the test. Now there’s an afternoon well spent.

THE PLAY SPACE During Carnival the space hosts performances by the Octonauts as well as a dedicated children's program encouraging kids of all ages to play, design, build and create. OCTONAUTS: CAPTAIN BARNACLES AND THE OCTOPOD RESCUE Captain Barnacles and our host Steve are going to take the Octo-cadets through Octo-training. When the Octo-alert goes off the Octo-cadets are going to help Captain Barnacles and Steve save the Electric Torpedo eel who is stuck in the bubble engine. Will they get the eel to safety? And Will Captain Barnacles save the day?
BLOOMING BUNNINGS The hardware experts will show kids how to make planter boxes.
KATH DICKSON FAMILY CARE Children will get their creativity mojo on with funtastic craft projects.

KIDS IN THE GARDEN
READY, STEADY SNIP
Gardener Brian will provide a sensory garden and plants for insects where children will smell and feel plants whilst learning the importance of insects.
Two designers will go head to head creating a table setting for six guests while celebrity guest chef Miguel cooks up a sensational meal for six lucky guests.

Each designer has an identical selection of materials, and the same amount of time, to create a unique masterpiece before the final buzzer!
SUPER SIZE SANDPIT
Join in and vote, the designer who receives the most applause will be crowned winner of Ready Steady Snip!
The mega sandpit brings the builder out in every kid with tools, pipes and wheelbarrows for them to construct, destruct and enjoy.
CITY CHICKS Children can pat ducklings and chickens. There’s also a native bee display with real hives!
