As part of the Energy Queensland group, Ergon Energy is proud to support the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers for the 19th consecutive year, and the tenth year as a Major Sponsor of the Ergon Energy Food and Wine Festival. We love that we can support the Toowoomba community in making the award winning Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers one of the best festivals in Australia. Our contribution to the communities where our customers and employees live is equally as important as providing a safe and reliable power supply. GENERAL ENTRY TERMS PASS OUTS: Festival attendees are welcome to come and go from the Festival on the day of paid entry. Please ask for a pass out wristband from our staff located at the exit.
ITEMS NOT PERMITTED: Festival attendees must not bring food to the event. Food items that are found during a search, or at any time during the event, will be conďŹ scated.
RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL: As an event for all ages, the Ergon Energy Food & Wine Festival is committed to the responsible service of alcohol.
Festival attendees may not bring in alcohol, illegal drugs and controlled substances, weapons or other items deemed dangerous.
Patrons cannot bring alcohol into the Festival precinct. All bags, containers, prams and baskets are subject to a full search at entry and patrons found to be bringing alcohol or restricted items to the Festival will be asked to dispose of these items and may be refused entry. If you are over 18 years of age and wish to purchase or sample alcohol, you may need to produce ID in the form of a Passport, Driver’s License or an 18+ Card. Upon entry to the Festival, you may be issued with a wristband to identify that you are permitted to drink alcohol at the event. Anyone found to be supplying or buying alcohol for a minor will be evicted from the Festival and will possibly face criminal charges. The sale of alcohol will cease at 9:30pm on Friday and Saturday and 8:30pm on Sunday.
SMOKING: The Festival is a smoking free environment. Smoking is only permitted in the designated outdoor smoking area clearly signed within the Festival. Please note the consumption of food and drink is not permitted in this area. ATM: Two ATMs are located within the Festival. PARK & RIDE: The park & ride pickup/drop off zone is located in Margaret Street directly outside the entry to the Festival. TAXI: The taxi rank is located in Margaret Street directly outside the entry to the Festival. Garden City Cabs 13 32 22. The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers supports the Access and Equity Plan 2016 - 2021 for Toowoomba Region.

Tobie’s honest but light-hearted approach and passion for topics such as organics, sustainability, seasonality, and ethical eating, has seen him in high demand as a guest on some of Australia’s favourite programs and events.
Can’t tell your pale ale from your pilsner? No worries, our tasting sessions will soon fix that. Find out about beer styles, flavours and food-matching. Pair your brew with traditional low and slow BBQ woodfired meats and you’ve got yourself a perfect match.

THE VINES HAVE BEEN VERY KIND TO US Mmm, that’s smooth, complex and oaked. Learn how to taste and describe wine like an expert at free sessions in the Wine Bar then wander through the pop-up cellar doors and put your newfound knowledge to the test. THE CUBBY HOUSE Kids will love the amazing interactive space designed just for them as well as a dedicated children’s program encouraging kids of all ages to play, design, build and create. During the Festival there will be performances on the main stage by Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom. BEN AND HOLLY’S LITTLE KINGDOM Join the adventures of Holly, a young fairy princess and her best friend Ben the elf, in a funny and enchanting world where elves and fairies live alongside animals, insects, flowers and the grass rises above the tallest towers.
BLOOMING BUNNINGS The hardware experts will show kids how to make planter boxes.
FREE FACE PAINTING Butterflies, princesses and superheroes will unleash their artistic powers on those cute little Carnival faces.
SUPER SIZE SANDPIT
CITY CHICKS
The mega sandpit brings the builder out in every kid with tools, pipes and wheelbarrows for them to construct, destruct and enjoy.
Children can pat ducklings as well as fluffy and heritage chickens. There will also be a native bee display with real hives, bees and accessories.
KATH DICKSON FAMILY CARE Enjoy garden-themed craft projects for the young (and young at heart) with the early childhood experts from Kath Dickson Family Centre.
CRAZY CANDLES Children will experience the mesmerising joy of creating their own colourful candles.
CHEF CARMEL Children will create their very own tasty savoury muffin from scratch. Join Chef Carmel in the kitchen and learn how to use fresh ingredients to make fluffy, delicious muffins. Lunch is served! TIMES Sat & Sun 10:30am, 11:45am, 1:00pm, 2:15pm, 3:30pm
GAMES CORNER Challenges await the young and young at heart in our entertaining (and sometimes competitive) garden games area.
