Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers will take over the Southern Queensland city of Toowoomba in the most beautiful of ways from 21-30 September, with a program of more than 60 unique events and experiences including award-winning
parks, stunning private gardens, a street parade bursting with floral colour, internationally-acclaimed musical acts, some of the best food and wine to be found in Queensland and a multitude of cultural and natural adventures.

Toowoomba comes alive during this 10day premier event in a celebration of all things spring spanning from floral design and spring blooms, to private home garden displays. This event should be on everyone’s travel list and now is the time to start planning your visit. The Palaszczuk Government through Tourism and Events Queensland’s It’s Live! in Queensland major events calendar, is proud to support the 69th staging of this event. ADAM LIAW Adam Liaw is a highly acclaimed cook, writer and television presenter. The 2010 MasterChef Australia winner will be sharing his delicious knowledge at the Heritage Bank Festival of Food and Wine daily from Fri 21 to Sun 23 Sept.
JULIA BUSUTTIL NISHIMURA Julia Busuttil Nishimura is a Melbourne-based cook, food writer and Italian teacher who has gained a strong following for her uncomplicated and seasonal food. Her debut cookbook ‘Ostro’ was released in September 2017 and quickly found itself at number 1 in independent bookstores around the country. Julia’s interpretations of dishes from Italy and the Mediterranean feel both timelessly familiar and altogether fresh and new.

Can’t tell your pale ale from your pilsner? No worries, our tasting sessions will soon fix that. Find out about beer styles, flavours and food-matching. Pair your brew with traditional low and slow BBQ woodfired meats and you’ve got yourself a perfect match.
Jim is an AILA registered landscape architect and garden designer, with over thirty internationally recognised design awards. Jim has won awards at the World Garden Competition in Japan, the Chelsea Flower Show and was the first Australian to exhibit at the Philadelphia Flower Show in the USA, winning a Gold Medal. Jim will be holding talks and demonstrations daily at the Heritage Bank Festival of Food and Wine from Fri 21 to Sun 23 Sept.
