Jungle Humza Jabbar Although It was rainy day, a lot of tourists visited the jungle. Since it was a Friday, there were about 80 visitors. As they got on the bus to go in the territory, a pack of lions attacked the fence trying to get to the visitors which they ended up blocking the way so the buses had to wait around 35 minutes of before they could enter again. There were 4 busses, 20 vision each so it was pretty packed. The buses were getting closer to the break spot and unfortunately due to an elephant blocking the pathway, the buses slowly backed up a bit and waited for the elephants to move out, eventually after 10-20 minutes the elephant finally got out of the pathway for the tour buses to go.
Later the buses got to the break spot so the visitors could have some food and drink. The rain was pouring even harder than before and it began to flood. The tour guides and bus drivers decided to stay at the cafeteria for some time so the buses do not get stuck in the way to through the rest of the tour. It had been a while since the visitors were waiting at the cafeteria, all the passengers finally got in and continued their tour. The buses went into the lions territory, again a bunch of lions spotted the bus and went to the bus trying to attack it which let the visitors got a really good view of the lions. The bus driver tried to find a tiger for the visitors to see but its not that easy to find a tiger because tigers do not hunt in a pack like lions they hunt for food alone. The busses stopped at a safe spot where there are only herbivores so the people can take pictures. That was the last part of the jungle tour. at the end everyone was safe and had a successful trip.
Floating above the Sky By Hiba Sarwer Alice, a young beautiful girl, living with her passion and courage to change the world into her own imaginary land. She wanted to discover her own land, wanted to live in place where there could be no one except for her. One day Alice was bored so she decided to read her favorite book, The Magical Kingdom Above the Skies. When she was reading her book, she was lost in the imagination of her own world. She was standing with so many questions and things to discover and by riding a space craft she discovered the moon. But every single second spend there was indelible for her. Her journey proved to be very fruitful to her. She discovered the Milky Way galaxy where are solar system is. It was like a torrid and blazing Pearl. She saw amazing planets.
Magnificent, heavenly light filters through the clouds, signifying a new day. The thin clouds slowly drift apart, presenting a beautiful sky above. Speaking out to me, the sky seems to know every one of my thoughts, my dreams, my darkest fears. The sky is but a canvas of light, creating a new picture within seconds. Weaving a story through the wispy clouds, the picture grows beyond the expanse of sky. The colors splay before me, stunning and simple. The world for her was full of adventures and discoveries. She was floating above the sky. She discovered a lot of things. She experienced the gravity and forces. She discovered that the moon is an ugly object with rocks and dust in it. There is no life, no vegetation in it. The sky is being conquered by man though at a very slow pace. Many mysteries of the sky have been unfolded but many still remain hidden. The sky is indeed a thing of attraction to man. She was happy because her dream came true she even thought that she became an astronaut . She was having so much fun. She was experiencing star movements and galaxies
She was day dreaming about the sky , planets, stars, galaxies and space ships. And her incredible journey finished there and her dream came true for experiencing the sky. After 10 minutes she opened her eyes and she saw that she was in the garden and she could see her house and her book was lying on the grass she was shocked and surprised she picked the book up and looked up above the sky she laughed at herself on day dreaming. Then she was curious to know that what is written in the next page and then she continues to the next page and it was written to you “Reader be aware of it after reading this you will be above the skies.”
About Jungles Saqib bin Saeed
A jungle is land covered with dense forest and tangle vegetation, usually in tropical climates. The word jungle comes from the Sanskrit word jangala. Natural and artificial jungles: There are different types of jungles, some are natural and some are artificial (Man-Made). Let’s take a look on some of them. First we will look at an artificial jungles. Changa Manga Jungle: The Changa Manga is a planted forest/jungle which includes a wildlife preserve. It resides in the Chunian Tehsil Kasur District and Lahore District, Punjab, Pakistan. It is located approximately 80 kilo-meters southwest of Lahore. It was once the largest artificial forest/jungle in the world but has undergone illegal deforestation at a massive scale in recent times. It is home to a variety of flora and fauna. It is home to 14 species of mammals, 50 species of birds, 6 species of reptiles, 2 species of amphibians and 27 species of insects
The Congo Rainforest: The Congo rainforest is one of the examples for natural jungles in central Africa. It contains one of the longest rivers in the world, the Congo River. The tropical rainforest covers most of the eastern part of the Congo. Hunting and poaching has endangered many of the animals there. It contains 70% of Africa’s plant cover. It makes up a large portion of Africa’s biodiversity with over 600 tree species and 10,000 animal species. Big and Small jungles: Jungles come in all different shapes and sizes. We are going to look at some examples of them. The Amazon Rainforest: The amazon jungle is a moist broadleaf tropical rainforest in the amazon biome that covers most of the Amazon basin of South America.
The area of the rainforest covers nine nations which include Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, Venezuela. More than 30 million people of 350 different ethnic groups live in the Amazon. At least 2.5 million insects species, 40,000 plants species, 2,200 fishes, 1,294 birds, 427 mammals, 428 amphibians and 378 reptiles have been scientifically classified in the region. It also has 16,000 classified tree species. The amazon is the largest rainforest in the world. Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve: It is the smallest rainforest in the world. It means “Pineapple Hill” and it is a hill in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve in Kuala Lumpur It contains jungle trails, a visitors’ centre and a forestry museum. Even though it is only 25 acres, it is home to a variety of Animals including Monkeys, Lizards, Pythons and Squirrels.
Mysterious of the jungle: There are many mysteries in the world related to jungles, some of them inhabit jungles too. Below are some of those. The Amazon Rings: A series of ring-shaped ditches can be found throughout the Brazilian Amazon. These structures remain a complete mystery, and archaeologists are unsure what to make of them. It has been suggested that they served as burials grounds or a form of defence, but no one knows for sure. Another theory is that they are marks left by UFO’s that once landed before the forest grew. Some people thing that these were constructed by early people who inhabited the area. A further question is that how did the early people get the tools to construct them. This question remains unanswered.
Wildlife of the jungle: Wildlife of the jungle is very diverse. One of those animals is the stealthy leopard. Actually, the phrase “Lions are king of the jungle” doesn’t make sense, as out of 20,000 lions that are alive, only 200-250 lions live in jungles. There are a lot of apes in the jungle. For example, the orangutan lives in Borneo. The chimpanzee and Eastern lowland gorilla live in the least heavily forested areas. Forest Elephants live in the dense African jungle. They are 30% smaller than the typical African elephant and their diet is more varied due to the richness of their jungle environment. Survival in a jungle: If you ever get lost in a jungle, you will need to know the correct survival tricks to come back alive. This might help you in learning some of them If you get lost in the jungle then S-T-O-P Stop
Think Observe Plan Here is a list of what you should do if you get lost: Find a source of drinking water. Find or build a shelter before nightfall. Try to avoid any contact with wild animals. Wait to see if rescue arrives. Find a source of food.
Try to follow your footsteps back, or follow the area where trees are shorter. Hunt for edible plants. Stay out of marked territory, if you see scratch marks on trees and rocks it means you might be entering a Tiger or Panther’s territory. In summary, Jungles not only serve as rehabilitation of our planet earth but also provides sources to many things we use in our daily lives, like herbs which we use in medicines and wood for several purposes. Other things come from jungle include fruits, and ubiquitous spices like vanilla and sugar. Then there are a few foods that many of us consider life-giving—coffee, tea, and cocoa—and yes, they come from tropical forests, too.
Lost in Time Eshal Junaid The moment I kept my foot on earth and came to world of nature, sky just on the head and walking on this invisible mixed feeling bridge with both past and future front of you, I lost myself in deep positive dark notion. At 12 in the night, moving in desert all alone, with sand framing the footsteps, and seeing my earth losing itself , sleeping with all lights off and deep down in the heart with worry and curiousness, I stepped forwards. Miles and miles away from the way all visible were dunes. A small red sand tornado blew me up and threw me on the branch of tree that was almost dead. No water , no oasis not even tiny drop of water, my lips all blue and my eyes all pale going to die in this mystery with no one bothering about my soul. I lost my way, sat on a rock and stared everywhere; I could visualize negative thought inside me wondering about finding my way out. Filled with deep darkness in me, I couldn’t sleep.
But what I saw was majestic! It seemed as if there is someone calling me, I moved forward few steps and reached the era of dinosaurs and the time of Romans. I was in a spaceship, a bridge which was the modern technology holding my hand, All around me I saw mountains so far as if dinosaurs are living with me in that era with such dark site and such noises of roar from far calling me and knowing me during that ice age period. I saw all the past, how it begins even the explosion that blew up all species except bird that end the Mesozoic era: The Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous period, the end of timeline. May your soul rest in peace. On the other hand, I could visualize fort of roman, forts similar to those in which prisoner were there and the roman soldiers bold and thick, wearing red army dress with anger and harshness in heart and face to fight with Greeks. Then the last part was a miracle.
Heard about twinkle twinkle little star, today visualized it also. All on sky were patterns of stars shining in the dead of night as if I was standing far from earth and looking it. The shooting stars carrying special messages for the aliens and showing me signs of help. The milky way prominently proud of its beauty shimmering, the colors of the sky indicating the beauty of nature as if any chemical reaction is occurring in a lab. The day and the night are the most faithful and beautiful couple ever united , proposing each other by the sunrise seen far behind the mount of dinosaurs’ fossils and the time period in history for Romans to wake up and Greeks to fight, more than a usual scene for me and the night showing off its beauty by the moon, mystery and what it have to the day and to the sun. My brain pictures itself in it and I still live in it today.
That life seeing the galaxy , black holes, planets, stars all that in my imagination in night being so prominent, places a hand of love on my heart and takes me far away from here to an unknown world and journey , a dream I always wished to see no matter where I am. That gives me hope that there is always something positive and light at the end of every tunnel. Nights aren’t scary at all; they are the most majestic time of the day and are actually beautiful. The sky full of mystery that will lead you to imagination you can never come out of once are in. Once you think in your mind about it, you will be forced to place your heart in it and will live your over there flying and visiting different places. That shinning north star and the symmetrical patterns of stars in the sky makes you an astronomer at such age by just imagination and how beautiful it is .
The best dream I could ever see before losing myself. I wish I could have some more time to visualize it further. The beauty of night can only be realized by the one who feels it.
Screams in the forest Aiza Sultana They love to eat fingers, that's what my mother had told me. I should’ve listened to her, I shouldn't have gone alone to play outside. I got lost and couldn't find my way back to my house. It was getting really dark and scary outside and I found this empty truck, I went inside it. I fell asleep unintentionally as I was tired. I woke up about one hour later, scared because it's not a dream. It was happening, It was really happening. I was in a forest all alone, and I didn’t know what to do. I was cold and shaking, after a while I started hearing noises. They were loud screams. They sounded very high pitched, like the one cats make when they are scared. It was insane, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. The noises were getting closer to where I was.
The more closer it got the more louder the screams were getting, then it stopped… The noises stopped for around 15 minutes. Then it began again. But it wasn't just one, it was dozens!. All over the forest, walking around. I could hear their loud footsteps on the ground. They would pass behind the hollow tree I was hiding inside of. One of those things passed in front of the trunk. All I could see were two humongous feet. They were almost completely flat and their tails were blood burning red, they appeared like ashes, glowing in the dark..
The noises stopped. I started to sob quietly, and the last thing I remember of it is that they glanced at me before pulling my arm.
The mysterious sighting of the flying horse Essa Imran It was a normal Monday morning, though the normality did not last long. It was sunny day, that is why many people decided to climb a mountain and get cold air. There were about fifty people who climbed Mount Shero, even the emperor’s grandson was there. At late noon, there was a weird sound coming from above the clouds. The people were very confused, the sound grew louder and louder until it was loud enough for people to recognize the sound. It was the neighing of a horse, but how could a horse be above the clouds? Some brave men climbed Mount Shero even higher, which was incredibly dangerous and difficult.
Most of them gave up and jumped back down, but two climbed it successfully. They went above the clouds, but right after they had a short glimpse of the horse, they could not believe their eyes. The two men helped the others climb up and see for themselves, they saw a glowing white horse with majestic wings spreading for more than three feet. It was flying, the people were appalled. Many of them dashed to the ground and warned the people. Some of them described the horse as a “warning from the gods”, some described it as “a blessing from the gods”. There were many sayings about who it was. But some elderly people who were the most respected and trusted people of the town claimed they knew who it was. They said it was the son of Poseidon, and it was not a blessing nor a warning. It was just a majestic God who could become both. He was called, Pegasus.
The future can be unpredictable, let us see if our fate is fortunate. Have a good one.
Jungle Adil Bashir
I’ve always been fascinated by jungles, I Love the wildlife and nature. A jungle is a land covered with dense forest and tangled vegetation, usually in humid and hot climate. Before the 1970s, tropical forests were generally referred to as jungles, but this expression has fallen out of usage. These are some of the most famous and well known jungles in the world; Brazilian Amazon, Brazil. Sinha raja Forest Reserve, Sri Lanka. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda. The Daintree, Australia and the Amazon rain forest. Wildlife and vegetation Jungles are known for their thick forests and their large amounts of plants and vines. Whereas Rainforests have extremely thick shade of trees and their floor is completely blocked from the sun. Jungles have an great impact on the human life and as well the wild life, Natural Vegetation provides shelter to animals and provides us with wood and logs and many other forest Products.
Plants also produce oxygen when they make food and oxygen is necessary for humans for breathing. Plants protect soil from degradation and they also help in restore the groundwater. All animals have important roles in the ecosystem. They seems to be an natural balance between all animals in nature. Some animals help to bring out the nutrients from the cycle while others help in decomposition, carbon and nitrogen cycle. Animals like insects and even micro organisms play a role in ecosystem.
Deforestation Deforestation had many positive effects including: It creates more usable space for growth, it produces more usable material, it allows for civilization and industrialization, it creates more job openings, it allows for the opportunity to graze animals, it gives us the chance to
produce more food, It allows people to generate more revenue. Even though deforestation might have many positive effects but it also has as many negative effects on human life, animals, and nature. The loss of trees and other vegetation can cause climate change, desertification or erosion, soil erosion, fewer crops, flooding, increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and a cause a lot of problems for the local people. Deforestation also may result in increase in the spread of life threatening diseases such as malaria and dengue fever and other infectious diseases that afflict humans. But would stopping deforestation would result in the solution of all these problems? Maybe not because of things such as fossil fuels, factories and e.t.c. It would surely decrease the negative Impacts but not completely end.
Jungles provide shelter for the animals and also provide humans with necessary things like wood and other products that the forest produces. The plants and the trees also provide us with oxygen as well fruits and vegetables to eat. Deforestation can destroy nature, wildlife, human life and also the environment. Which May result in extinction of species and might also have other negative impacts.
Return to the books Salwa Abid “Mom do we really need to shift?”, Brandon asked. Mum replied, “Yes, we have to let’s go.” They left to Chicago. They reached their new house. Brandon comes out of the car and looks up at his neighbor’s window where a man looked at Brandon and shuts the window. He finds the man weird and then his mum calls him and introduces Brandon to her friend, Luna. (They talked for a long time) The next day (Music plays) They are in the car heading to school. It is Brandon‘s first day and so mum’s as a principle. They go to the assembly area where teachers announce the day after tomorrow is the welcome party for the principal and you have to bring a partner with you (bell rings and they leave for there classes)
After school they do the groceries for the house while why Brandon is just trying to figure out who to take along with him. “Come on Brandon I’m done here!” mum shouts. They go back home and mum asked Brandon to take out the trash, he goes and all of a sudden a girl comes from the neighbor’s house and scared Brandon. She was the weird man’s daughter but nonetheless, she seemed pretty nice.
The next day Brandon has to go to school with a partner and had no one to go with, so he calls his friend Mike. Mike came over and he also had no one to go with. They planned to go and ask their friend, Hannah, but the front door is locked so they go from the back, they didn’t find Hannah downstairs but instead a library full of books. They opened a book called the spare wolf. As the book opens a white light occurs across the whole house and Hannah comes down she sees what’s going “Did you open the book?” asked Hannah. The spare wolf comes out of the book and dashed to the ice rink
Brandon and Michael looked confused. Hannah sprints to the spare wolf with the book. As they reach the ice rink the wolf started attacking them. Mike frightened asked “What the hell is going on?” “Look he came from the book you just opened!” Hannah replied. They managed to shove the wolf back in the book. Hannah’s dad was so angry. They returned back home and Brandon and mike asked “Can someone explain what just happened.” Hannah’s dad replied “I had allergies so I wasn’t able to go out so I made these creatures and as you open the book they will be released”. As a mistake mike opened a book called Snappy the dummy and Hannah’s dad got nervous. “Not this one!” screamed Hannah‘s dad. It seemed Hannah’s dad and Snappy were best friends and dad cheated on him and shut him in the book and now he’s out for revenge.
Snappy disappears in thin air with all the books and starts opening and burning them one by one so no other creature can go back in the book. If this continues, the whole city would burn down in flames. Now there’s only one way to stop Snappy, to write another story but they need a special type writer of Hannah‘s dad so they go back to the high school of the typewriter secure. On the way they meet the invisible boy and the grow grass fear they jump from the car and take the graveyard shortcut then Hannah‘s dad finds the typewriter and goes to the gym and start writing the story but Snappy comes there and snapped his fingers. All the creatures come but they managed to get away. Brandon finished the last pages of the book and all the creatures disappear and so does Hannah.
A Scientist’s Trip to an Undiscovered Jungle Hiba Aziz Silence had never been so loud before. All I could hear were my boots clenching against the wet, mossy forest floor. My torch was the only luminous object, without it, there was nothing but complete darkness. I knelt down to collect a specimen in a glass jar. It looked like some sort of slimy ladybug. What surprised me even more was a never seen before, reddish-purple species of moss growing on the forest floor. Of all the years that I had studied Flora, I had never come across anything like this before. It must be an undiscovered species. I picked up some moss with my crucible tong and placed it in my specimen container. This intrigued me to keep going further. Moving the thick dangling vines out of my way and using the light from my torch as a guide, I ventured deeper in to the Jungle. I was getting thirsty, so I stopped to drink a sip of water.
Just as I was pulling the bottle out I heard a loud, deafening screech and before I could look up I felt something brush past my head. I badly lost my balance and fell on the floor with my torch rolling away from me, my only source of light in this unknown, undiscovered realm. I gasped for breath and hurried back onto my feet to grab the torch before it disappeared forever. Luckily I got a hold of it just as it was about to hit a heavily flowing river. The flying creature that had shocked me with its speed and sound was nowhere to be seen. After catching my breath and letting my nerves calm down, I decided to take some specimens from the river to see if there were any undiscovered water organisms. Using my magnifying glass, I was peering in to the water to see if anything surprised me when I heard the beating of a drum. What could that be? I immediately got up to see where that sound was coming from. It was the beat of a drum of tribal men who were dancing around a fire. I didn’t even bother to communicate with them or let them know that I was here in the fear of not knowing what they might do to me. I silently snapped some pictures of them and left as quickly as I could.
Excitingly getting in to my helicopter and contacting my head scientist about the materials and new discoveries.
The Mysterious Greeks Ibrahim Siddiqi
The Greeks: Ah, Yes, The Greeks with all the mysteries, all the myths, and the people were the most involved in mythology. There were the ancient Egyptians and the Romans, but nothing beats the Greeks in their marvelous stories and myths... One such story, which also one of the most known ones is of Persephone and Hades who was the god of the underworld. Persephone was the daughter of Demeter who was the goddess of plants. They both were very happy, but their happiness was not to last for long. One day as she was picking flowers, Hades, the God of The Underworld, fell in love with her, so as she was collecting flowers, a hole appeared from the ground. Hades appeared from the hole and she was taken to the underworld.
She got angry at Zeus for this and went to him. He refused to help her but later even he had to surrender because people were dying. He sent Hermes, the messenger of all gods, to Hades so that he could return Persephone but Hades had already persuaded Persephone to eat a few pomegranate seeds from the underground so she would have to stay there forever. However, it was Zeus’s wish so he could not refuse. While she was in the underworld, her mother Demeter was searching desperately for her daughter. The greenery of the earth was destroyed because Demeter stopped caring for them. A year passed and Zeus saw that if nothing happened to the unfertile land of the earth, people will die. Demeter came to Zeus after confirmed from Helios, the sun god that Hades had kidnapped Persephone to make her his queen.
She was taken to Zeus and Demeter and was going to stay on earth but then Hades came telling Zeus she had eaten 6 pomegranate seeds already so thus had to stay Underworld. It was later decided that Persephone would stay with Demeter for 6 months and Hades for 6 months. The months she was with Demeter it was spring and Summer whereas the other months were winter and autumn when she was underground. Crazy story right! Guess what? There are 100s of these and trust me, they can be violent. One such story was of a Devil called Medusa. It turned people to stone if they saw her. It is one of the scariest Greek myths out there as many and I mean many people turned to stone.
She was not the scary thing before though, she was the daughter of 2 gorgons but was born as a regular child. She worked hard to be a priestess of Athena. She was meant to be very beautiful. She went to the church of Athena and learned to be a priestess there, she soon became very good at it. The men who came fell in love with her instead of worshipping the goddess. The goddess was trying to decide. The god of the sea who was the brother of Zeus tried to get Medusa to marry him. She rejected and ran to the temple where she prayed to Athena to save her. Once the sea god caught up with her, he bet her and left. Athena saw her priestess in a disgraceful manner and as punishment turned her into a Monster. She was left there alone. She left the place and tried to go to the forest where no one could see her. On the way, people saw her and tried to kill her but turned to stone! She lived in an abandoned temple. Many people tried to kill her but never returned, except Perseus of course.
The Starry Nights of Rome Saram Zulfiqar Tony Gotti took a gander at his book in his grasp and felt calm. He walked over to the window and pondered on his majestic surroundings. He had always adored starry Rome with its magnificent, astonishing structures. It was a place that urged his tendency to feel calm. At that point he saw something somewhere out there, or rather somebody. It was the figure of Clara Olsson. Tony gulped as he looked at his own appearance. He was a self-centred, wine addict, greedy and most importantly an intelligent man. His friends consider him to be one of the best business men in the world, he had even predicted the rise of bitcoin which helped him to be a multimillionaire that he is today.
In any case, not even a man like Tony, was ready for what Clara had in store today. As Tony stepped outside and Clara came closer, he could see the dusty grin all over her face. "Look Tony," said Clara, with a significant glare. "I want my money back. You owe me 5 million euros." "listen young lady give me a little more time" he answered. They took a gander at one another with stressed emotions, similar to two smoked, quiet snakes wandering at a friends birthday party, which had jazz music playing behind the scenes and two funny uncles yelling to the beat. "I don't have the funds...." he lied. Clara glared. "Do you want me to force you to hand me my money or do you want they easy way out? Because you know what I am capable of” Tony is shook to his core since he is aware of how strong Clara is considering that she has served in the army for over 10 years and has been through hard-core training. "As a matter of fact, I do have the funds," he admitted. He strolls away to his room..... Clara suddenly hears a sound that went like ”POW”, she runs over and finds out that Tony has vanished!!
She goes down the stairs and quickly grabs her keys and chases the car Tony absconded in. They race in full speed as Clara wants her money back and in a flash Clara runs out of gas therefore she quickly responds by calling the police , few moments later Tony finally gets caught and gets sentenced to 5 years in prison as Clara finally gets her money back and she enjoys a fine starry night of Rome.

A Break In Hafsah Atif It was a Saturday evening, my parents had gone outside, and therefore I was home alone. I had my headphones on, listening to songs while I was lazing around. A little rustle that had sounded deafening in the deserted house came from the backdoor. I went to investigate on my tiptoes trying not to make a sound, I heard the sound of a key trying to open the lock, I was sure it wasn’t my parents as they would be gone for an hour. Slowly I heard footsteps heading towards me, peeking through the window to find out that a thief had broken into our house. I hurried back to my room with my heart beating uncontrollably, I called 911 explaining my situation while panting breathlessly. The police were heading my way, while I had locked all doors, so the burglar couldn’t leave, it felt like I was in a home alone movie.
I told the police to appear with their sirens turned off so it wouldn’t alarm the thief. I had let the officers in, and the thief was in their grasp, the officers did their job and I had done mine. I was very grateful to them, as I didn’t think I would end up in this type of situation, a burden was taken off my shoulder, and sighed with relief, thanking them that it was all over.
Mysterious Houses Hamza Jabbar I remember it was October 31st, I was always interested in going to my grandma's house during Halloween her neighborhood was known as the best and the creepiest neighborhood on this day. It was exciting going there. All the houses were decorated to the best of the best with zombies in the backyard, webs on their doors, pumpkins on the doorsteps, and bats hanging from the ceilings. However, there was always this one specific house that was decorated the best. It was a mysterious house, they would have witches on the roof and fake black cats around their house, and fake crows. Every Halloween my grandma would tell me a story about the urban legend's giant eater house.
It was a spooky story about a haunted house that ate people who went by. It was a true story that took place in the early 1900s, many people had been terrified since. Victims never came back. The house belonged to a man who was about in his 30s and his wife. The man's name was John. He was described as short and had freckles. His wife was a circus freak and she lived in a cage. People would laugh at her because of how much weighed, her husband would treat her very harshly, which resulted in her crying day and night.
Trick or Treat Mariyum Asim
The weather was chilly and it seemed like it was going to rain, I looked at my friend Ash, who was skipping on the uneven pathway. Glancing at my little candy bucket, I thought, "I'm so tired and he wants to go trick or treating at a haunted house" but the sound of the howling wind interrupted me. It felt like it was whispering to us, suddenly thunder clapped and rain poured down. We quickly ran, but as we were running, I peeked behind and everything was blurry, I couldn't see the pathway nor the trees. I quickly looked ahead bumping into Ash.
"Ouch! Why'd you stop?" no answer. My gaze fell upon the grey house, it was huge. I looked at the door, which had a broken window. Looking down I saw grass that reached our knees. My eyes followed a path leading to the dusty stairs, nervously I bit my lip and stepped on the stairs. Cringing at the creaky sound, I realized Ash was staring at something, I followed his eyes and saw a window at the top, where the attic was. There stood an ugly boy with dried lips and bony hands, he was wearing an off-white shirt and standing right in front of the window, looking right at us, making me jump out of my skin. He banged at the window, sending chills down our spine. We froze in terror as the door creaked open. I grabbed Ash and ran but my legs grew weaker as I ran, we sprinted through the long pathway until we found a crowded area.

My mirrored eyes, reflecting the galaxy As if they held all the stars ,there were many No, it wasn’t a dream, in fact it was agleam Although it was night, all it felt around was light Stars shooting across the sky All that could be done was to descry The exquisite scenery at that time Wishing that this wouldn’t end in a flip of a dime Such beautiful spectacles, Are always unforgettable The sky’s colors merging My eyes were convinced for it was a painting This extremely ravishing scene
Was worth a billion magazines Although it might not seem It felt like there appeared a screen The day was present in the night The dusk had fallen with might It was a dazzling starry night The nature had gifted my eyes with such a sight Starry night My mirrored eyes, reflecting the galaxy As if they held all the stars ,there were many No, it wasn’t a dream, in fact it was agleam Although it was night, all it felt around was light Stars shooting across the sky All that could be done was to descry The exquisite scenery at that time Wishing that this wouldn’t end in a flip of a dime

The Calm Jungle By Mahnoor Amer Trees, rocks and bushes all around Water flowing, the only sound Branches brown and stiff everywhere The smell of dirt is the best over there Such lovely sights on every end All my time over there, I would spend Water glistening on the leaves The bushes swaying within the breeze Sunlight shining from in between Dare I say the most beautiful scene The birds singing with glee I’m sitting down here happily
Key Swaft Mohammad Ahmed Naseer It was dark yet bright The sky showered with of those glistening lights The sky filled with glistening stars Yet you can only see so far All those vast hills The wind so breezy they give me chills The greenness of the trees The sound of the wind so loud it seized The eerie silence of the night All those stars beautiful, just in sight Nature is beautiful and amazing I fall asleep star gazing.
