Greetings, Becoming a Christian in jail or prison can have its ups and downs. One who does may find himself being ridiculed from those of the “freeworld” and even from fellow inmates. Our Christianity is often dubbed as: “JAILHOUSE RELIGION”, and some will say: “why did they wait to go to prison to get saved?”

There are a large number of men and women being saved “in prison” and taking the Gospel back to the streets saving souls. Something that many Christians that’s never been to jail or prison aren’t doing! I may be touching some nerves, but it’s time to do away with those “religious spirits” and know that God desires that all men come to repentance and be saved (2 Peter 3:9).

I’m certain I read in the Bible that Jesus died for all mankind, not just those who never had a drug, alcohol, sex, lying, or anger problem.

His marvelous light is His business!!!

The mission of “The Day of the Lord Ministries” is to embrace offenders, ex-offenders, and their family members with love through the various groups under our umbrella; to assist them in becoming equipped with the things they’ll need to be productive citizens, and loving family members.

Membership in The Day of The Lord Ministries includes all persons participating in any of the stated Ministries who choose to embrace our stated vision and values

To be an instrument through which the power of the Holy Spirit can minister to offenders, exoffenders, and their family members. Causing them to be self confident as they learn their purpose; to develop a new attitude toward their circumstance and rise above it.

“THE GOLDEN RULE” When growing up and going to school I often heard and said The Golden Rule: “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” I never knew until I read through the Bible that those words were scripture. I get on my wife because she’s always going out of her way to do for others, even those who don’t appreciate it. During a recent visit she told me: “I only treat people how I would want them to treat me.”

Although I know the scriptures that says: “bless those who persecute you….” And “…..pray for those who spitefully use you….” (Romans 12:14, Matthew 5:44), at times it’s hard for me to obey those commands. But as I began to meditate on today’s scripture, I understand that I have persecuted and spitefully used others before. So what the Bible instructs me to do is no more than I wanted or would want.

There will come a time when we all will need the assistance of someone else. The Bible says… “for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” (Galatians 6:7) Verse 10 goes on to say: “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all….” We sow good seeds when we do for others as we would want them to do for us, and by doing so, we will reap a good harvest.

I know firsthand how hard it can be sometimes to be good to everyone, but that’s what makes us different from the non-believers. The Bible says: “…. To him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” (James 4:17) Constantly remind yourself of The Golden Rule!

Remember it's not about us, it's all about Him!

“for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but power and of love and of a sound mind.”

(2 Timothy 1:7) What does this mean? Christ allows us to have a “sound mind”, meaning the ability to make good judgments, to make the right decisions in our life, and exercise self-control and self-discipline. What about this “spirit of fear?” Because we are imperfect humans, this spirit can sometimes take hold of us and make us feel powerless and alone (1 John 4:18) and cause us to make wrong decisions that make our lives miserable. This spirit is not from God. In the face of fear we are to remember our calling from God. We have within us the power of God through the Holy Spirit enabling us to no longer be victims. We have God’s perfect love in us and His presence through Jesus Christ - and we have the Mind of Christ which helps us make “sound” choices.

Applying this truth determines whether we overcome fear or are overcome by it. (1 John 5:4-5) *from commentary in the Spirit filled Bible ~SOLO~ Active Frontline Ministries GOD’S BEST Matthew 11:28 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

One Love my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus I’m praying that each of us enter into the promises of God. But my focus and strongest desire is that we enter into God’s Rest. To me that rest is the Promised Land overflowing with milk and honey. I want to share the steps it will take to enter into our promise. Brothers if I need correcting, I’m asking that you please help me out. First we must be released from captivity “Babylon”. For some this captivity is physical and for others it is mental or emotional. So, we can be in a physical prison and we can be a prisoner of our mind or emotions what we think or how we feel. God told our captor to let His people go, by sending His son to die on the cross. John 8:36 “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed”.

So, our faith in the resurrected Son Jesus Christ sets us free. Once we are free, some of us wonder in the wilderness. God used the wilderness to get us to the Promised Land. So, in the wilderness of anger, hurt, pain, doubt and confusion was we tested to build our faith and trust in our Heavenly Father. See, those are the giants we must conquer before we can possess our Promised Land.

Second, we must trust the Word of God and believe with all out heart and with all our might. No matter what it may look like “we walk by faith and not by sight”. So we trust what the Word says. Hebrews 4:9 -11 “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”

My brothers and sisters God did not put us into captivity but He allowed it! Our faith strengthened and our character a mirror of Jesus should be our goal, I stand on this if we truly trust and believe the Son has se us free, this physical prison will not and cannot hold us any longer. So much uncertainty for a new born child; whose faced with a challenge to survive. So very few resources offered today; to help that child stay alive.

So many babies giving birth to babies; a generation that’s already lost. So many reasons to have balance in life; for humanity can never pay this cost.

So many lives turned up side down; searching to find their way, so many times we’ve all been instructed; get down on your knees and pray!!!

“AND LIFE GOES ON” Why can’t I get my life in harmony, and be like any other person? For I know that life can’t be this cruel, cause even animals have it better that live in a zoo. I mean life looks so gloom, for a person like me. But what did I do, to make it this way?

For ever since I can remember, I have lived a life of doom. And even when I was born, I had no family of my own. For the woman that had me, would not ever call me her own. And I was passed from family to family, but to none that would call me their own.

I don’t remember much before I was six, but I know at this age I only weighed thirty six. For I was nothing but skin and bones, but what would you expect? If all that you had to eat, was grease from a frying pan, or the only thing that you could drink was left over beer from the night before.

Then I went to a home, where I thought I had it made. But this home that I thought was heaven, turned out to be hell. For I was nothing but a slave, adopted only by name. I worked on a farm, and to be beat for anything that went wrong.

And I was beaten so much, that at the time. I didn’t know if I was in the right, or if I actually did something wrong.

But I know that by the time I was ten, there was so much hate and hurt from within. That if anything good came my way, it was not even worth thinking about in any way.

Now my Foster Mom, could not give birth. So she would not have sex with my Foster Dad, for she claimed it hurt. So my Foster Dad, took me when I was thirteen. As my Foster Mom laughed, and watched me bleed.

Then by the time I was sixteen, I had a record of running away, and stealing, and just about took myself out by OD, and then I left home to never go back again. Now I was out on my own, as a run a way. And to make it day by day, I decided to go ahead and be gay. And as a run a way, I traveled from state to state, and ended up in Lafayette, Louisiana in 77 or 78!

Still a run a way, and trying to make it the best I could. I ended up in jail for burglary, and was there ever a price to pay. For I was beat-up by seventeen prisoners, to within an inch of my life. And raped by six and could have died, but an old black prisoner named Blue. Who stopped them just in time, and got the guards to get me out before it was to late. But in reality he saved my life to face more of the same, and a life of hate and pain.

I then ran from Louisiana and came to Texas, still running and trying to survive. And I ended up in the penitentiary, would you believe it burglary again. I stayed down two and a half years on a nickel, and was raped once and beat down a couple of times. But I still tried to fight, not just keep the wolves off, but to survive.

Then I got released from prison in 1981, but as luck would have it. Two and a half months later, I was in the penitentiary for burglary again!

I would like to say that I’m a born again Christian. I accepted Christ as my Savior while here in prison, and it has been the best decision I’ve ever made. I’ve enclosed a picture so that people can see me and know that I’m not ashamed of the Gospel, in Mark 8:38 Jesus said that if we were ashamed of Him before man He would be ashamed of us before the Father. So I wanted all of my peers to know that “Butter” is a Christian. I believe that the anointed blood of Jesus Christ paid for my sins and I trust in God to continue to change the things in me that I can not. The Word of God tells us to come as we are (Isaiah 55:1) I was in Seg on Beto in 2007, I had just smoked some weed and had ben drinking wine. When I looked around at my conditions, it was then that I realized that I was tired of living that way. I got down on my knees and talked to God, I actually cried to God to help me, and praise God, He heard my cries. Does that mean I don’t sin anymore? No, it does mean that Jesus covered all of my sins and that I’m learning to sin-less. When you become a Christian, your desires will change. When you start to have fellowship with a Holy God, it makes you want to live holy. You have to make decisions to let the old sinful be put to death. It’s a lot of people who are going to see my picture and ask, it that “Butter”? Yes it is and if God can save me, I know He can save anyone!

I want to say, I apologize to Doctor Virgil Wilson and his wife, Sis. Shy Wilson for my past behavior. They have been so good to me, as I know they are to others, and let us all keep their marriage, ministry and newsletter in prayer as well as their lives so that God will continue to prosper them. I personally thank you Mr. & Mrs. Wilson. I also apologize to you all in the Body of Christ here on Eastham for my past behavior with you all. Things I’ve said and done, please forgive me. Those I offended on the outside who receive the newsletter, please forgive me. It’s so crazy because God has still blessed me through it all. You see how merciful our God is? I owe Him a big apology. So I just wanted to take the time to release what has been inside me to you all. I wanted to pull away from it all, the devil had my mind because I allowed him too. I was upset with everyone, but for what reason? Anyways, you all stay encouraged! I really do love you all in Christ Jesus. TRAYVON MARTIN'S DEATH WILL (NOT) BE IN VAIN! "So I congratulated the dead who are already dead more than the living who are still living. But better off than both of them is the one who has never existed, who has never seen the evil activity that is done under the sun" (Ecclesiastes 4:2-3) Just when you wanted to believe that there is some level of (fairness) in the (so-called) judicial system, reality gives us an evil stare.....Making it clear that (JUSTICE IS NOT THE FRIEND OF BLACK PEOPLE)!!!

As a "Black Man" who has experienced (first hand) the "INJUSTICE OF THIS BROKE DOWN JUDICIAL" I can relate very well to the pain and disappointment of Trayvon Martin's parents and extended family.........AND GOD KNOWS IT HURTS! The late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "HAD A DREAM", but unfortunately "WE ARE STILL LIVING HIS NIGHTMARE." The treatment that BLACK AMERICA experiences today is no different than that of old, because no matter how you look at it.....Sideways or crosseyed.....WE ARE STILL REGARDED AS N#@%ERS THAT DON'T MATTER. "But make no mistake about it "NO EVIL DEEDS SHALL GO UNPUNISHED." "They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down; they dug a pit before me; they (themselves) have fallen into the midst of it" (Psalm 57:6) When the foreman of the jury read the (NOT GUILTY) verdict, I was inundated with utter shock, and moments late, that chock then turned to (ANGER). I felt like someone had just spit in my face. I wanted to vent my frustrations out on someone or something, BUT I DIDN'T! "Be ye angry, and sin not:...."(Ephesians 4:26) I just simply kept asking GOD (WHY), and about four days after the not guilty verdict, He answered me.. with words of understanding. A calm came over me, and ever since then I've been at peace. The Lord assured me that some (MAJOR CHANGES) are soon to happen, that otherwise would not come to pass, if in fact, the verdict was different. As a result of the verdict being what it turned out to be, THE NATION is having conversation about many other important issues pertaining to race, that have been INTENTIONALLY IGNORED FOR WAY TOO LONG. All that has been done in the dark is now about to come to light. " This is just the beginning of (GOD'S WILL) BEING DONE." "TRAYVON MARTIN'S DEATH WILL (NOT) BE IN VAIN!" I now leave you with this thought in hopes of inspiring you to BE BETTER THEN YOUR ENEMY. “Something to think about”

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend. One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her, “now that you can see the world, will you marry me?” The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him. Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying: “just take care of my eyes dear.”

This is how human brain changes when the status changed. Only few remember what life was before, and who’s always been there in the most painful situations.

IN PURSUIT OF PEACE We live in a world where there are millions of people that are miserable because they don’t have peace in their lives. Jesus said in John 14:27 before leaving planet Earth was I leave you my peace not as the world gives, I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid. The end result of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives deep and lasting peace. Unlike the world define peace which is absence of conflict, this peace is confident assurance in any circumstance, with Christ peace, we have no need to fear the present or the future. If your life is full of stress, allow the Holy Spirit to fill you with Christ peace.

The importance thing about peace is that it don’t just come to you, you must pursue peace with yourself, God and fellow man. 1 Peter 3:10-11 tells us “For he that will love life and good days let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile. Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and pursue it. This is how you get the peace of Jesus. (Isaiah 26:3) Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. We can never avoid strife in the world around us, but God can give you perfect peace even in turmoil. When we are devoted to him our whole attitude is steady and stable. Supported by God’s unchanging love and mighty power we are not shaken by the surrounding chaos.

God’s peace is not positive thinking or in good feelings. Real peace comes from knowing that because God is in control our citizenship in Christ’s kingdom is sure, our destiny is set and our victory over sin is certain. So get in high pursuit of peace.

“REPENTANCE” Zechariah 1:3-4, Mark 1:14-15, Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, Acts 17:30 and Revelation 3:3 First we must give God the Honor, Glory and Praise for God is worthy to be praised. I would like to give thanks to my beloved Bro. & Sis. Virgil and Shy Wilson for following God’s will in this great ministry. Prayers goes out to my wife Pastor Anita Clark Smith to all our families and my brothers and sisters in white. A special thanks to Sis. Shy Wilson for all her hard work in preparing the “SPOKEN WORD NEWSLETTER” to reach so many readers. God loves you Bro. Virgil and Sis. Shy Wilson and so do I. God gave me this message on “Repentance” as we know “repent” is turning away from evil, wrongdoing, sin and asking God to forgive you and true “repentance” is not going back to that sin again. I heard this song that says: I’m so glad God is not like man, who will throw you away when you do wrong, but pick you up, dust you off and put you back where you belong… The God we serve is a God of forgiveness and second chances. Please turn to the book of Zechariah 1:3-4 “Therefore tell the people: This is what the Lord Almighty says: return to me”, declares the Lord Almighty and I will return to you says the Lord Almighty. (v4) Do not be like your forefathers to who the earlier prophets proclaimed: this is what the Lord Almighty says: turn from your evil ways and your evil practice. But they would not listen or pay attention to me declares the Lord. Here God is speaking to the Prophet Zechariah to tell the people what I’m telling you… to return to me, to stop their evil ways, their sinful ways and return to God meaning “REPENT” and God said I will return to them says the Lord Almighty. See a lot of people would believe this is only speaking of people who did not know God. But these people knew God, but refused to change their evil ways, they knew that their forefathers spoke of God’s commands. God left them, because God had to separate Himself from their evil ways...AMEN. Mark 1:14-15 “After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee proclaiming the good news of God. (v.15)” The time has come, He said, The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news. We know that the good news is the Word of God “the Gospel” and Jesus is telling us that the time is near, we don’t know the hour, minute, or second but the time is near. “Repent” meaning turn away from your sins for tomorrow may be too late.

The time is now “REPENT” turn to God… Acts 2:38 Peter replied: “Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Here God’s word tells us to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus. Once we (repent) return to God and ask forgiveness then when we’re living according to God’s word we will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit t lead and guide us in our spiritual walk with God. Amen!! Acts 3;19 “Repent then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. See Repentance is a change of mind and will that arises from sorrow for sins that lead us to a transformation of life with God. Your sins will be wiped out as a result of repentance. Acts 17:30 “In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent...God in the past has overlooked a lot of things we did, but now, right now God is holding us accountable for what we do, how we lived our life, God wants everyone of us to repent and come back to Him...in II Peter 3:9 God’s word clearly says “He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. God is waiting patiently for us to return to Him, but He will not wait forever, the time is near, the time is now… Revelation 3:3 “Remember, therefore what you have received and heard: obey it and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief and you will not know at what time, I will come to you. God is telling us to obey His word and repent, because He will come like a thief and no one knows when a thief will come, so the time is now my brothers and sisters to repent and turn away from your sins, return to God in Jesus name I pray…

1 JN 1:5 Beloved Saints, Who am I to deny the voice of the Holy Spirit; is it because of shame, fear of rejection, mockery, why would I not pen this epistle. Who has duped the “true children” of God to believe the run away lies that are being taught n the scope of “Christiandome”? Numerous TV preachers, evangelist, radio ministers, bible schools, many have fallen victim to the voice of falsehood. So, let me digress so I may get to the gist of this epistle, may the prophecy of Isaiah be nixed [IS 6:9-10, MATT 13: 14-17] In 1995 I got sentenced to 60 aggravated years, first man parole is 2024, God has said different! I came into the system as a Muslim, I could not stand Christians and Jesus was only a prophet, folklore. Fast forward to 2010, I was housed on the John B. Connolly Unit; no Bible, Quran, God, Jesus; I was in disbelief. December 1 of 2010 I fell out in the chow hall, I was full of K-2, pills, paint thinner, my whole sentence was full of getting high. I’m taken to the infirmary, wardens, nurses, majors all are asking me weird questions. I am then ambulanced to a free world hospital, this is where my divine appointment with Jesus Christ was schedules.

It was as if I was standing inside the sun, it was oh so bright yet I was not even squinting. I look down and see myself dressed in my prison clothes, it was calm, peaceful, a state of nirvana. Then a voice commands me; “go back and tell people, I am Jesus Christ”, third time I’m told that I awake. I am life flighted from the free world hospital to Galveston’s UTMB, was told I passed out on my feet. I am told I fell backwards so hard that I cracked a bone in my skull, I had to have brain surgery for a hematoma. A week later I am back on my unit in a deplorable condition, seizures, migraines, deaf in one ear, and blurred vision along with 15 staples in my head. Two months later after a long religious debate with a Christian, he lays hands on me in the name of Jesus Christ. Three days later I awake healed of the symptoms that the doctors told me would be for life. All pills of the operation (over 6) I threw away and to this day (8 -15-2013) I do not take. Then my healing and accepting of Jesus as my Lord and Savior, things started happening to me that caused some to call me a devil worshiper.

I’ve written my testimony and numerous articles to this anointed newsletter, that is why this epistle was put on my heart. For eons Pastors/Teachers have taught the evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit is evidence of speaking in tongue. The whole three year ministry of Jesus Christ he never taught this as evidence; what did Jesus Christ teach his disciples? Does not the Holy scripture explain in [Luke 10:1-20] no where is it recorded that the disciples spoke in a tongue as evidence. Then Jesus explains in [John 14:15-17. 25-26, 16:13] no where does Jesus say tongues is evidence of the Holy Spirit. Now look on so close at [Acts 1:1-5] this is the words of Jesus after our Father raised him from the dead. Now go to [Acts 2:1-4] over 120 people gathered [1:15] each one spoke in another language, we are about to arrive into the reason for the epistle.

Look at [Mark 16:14-20 emphasis on 20—Acts 4:27-31 emphasis on 30, 6:8, 19:11-12 - Romans 15:18-19] miracles, signs, wonders, that God does through a chosen vessel [2 Tim 2:20]. I believe in tongues, I don’t believe that is evidence; the evidence lies in the power of the Holy Spirit working through God’s chosen vessel. I know God has done numerous through me that are recorded in an unpublished book by me that include many witness statements. Just as in the days of Jesus Christ my Lord; the masses disbelieved him [Matt 12: 24-27]. All these disbelieving Preachers/ Teachers who teach that the signs and miracles died out with the early Apostles. I’ll just be obedient and write! “Thus says the Lord, I am the same yesterday, today and forevermore”, scripture explains it ever so clearly [Matt 20:16]. If God has called you {Eph 4:11] do not let the enemy fool you [2 Cor. 11:14] step out in faith and be a doer of the word [Jas. 1:22].

*The Fruit of the Spirit & What It Means * A lot of Christians go around about acting like they know more then the next person. But I found out first hand that a lot of seasoned Christians don't know the true meaning of " The fruit of the Spirit & what it means"...It took an act of a fall on my part to really find out what it truly means and it really blessed me to find these things out.

Love means; unselfish, loyal and benevolent intention and commitment toward another; A quality that does not seek revenge but suffers wrong in order to act redemptively. Hatred stirretth up strife; but love covereth all sins. (Proverbs 10:12) Joy means; a state of delight and well being that results from knowing and serving God, joy is the fruit of a right relationship with God, and now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves (John 17:13) Peace means; a condition or sense of harmony, well - being and prosperity; the term translated "peace in the New Testament, the Greek word eirene is the word most often used. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27) Longsuffering means; patience is endurance, steadfastness, longsuffering, and forbearance. God's people are to be patient Christians need patient endurance in the face of persecution, And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:3-5 Gentleness means; kindly admirable; a gentle manner. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, (2 Timothy 2:24) Goodness means; the state or quality of being good. The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: (Isaiah 40:6) Faith means; it is trustful human response to God's self revelation via His words and His actions, the Koine Greek word pistis, usually translated "faith." Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? (2 Corinthians 13:5) Meekness means; a moral quality of humility and gentleness, usually exhibited during suffering or difficulty and accompanied by faith in God. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. (Psalm 25:9) Self -Control means; a call for a self- disciplined life following Christ's example of being in the world but not of the world. He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. (Proverbs 25:28)

Allow mw to also send you my condolences concerning the passing of your cousin. Losing someone in death is like losing an arm or leg. The wound will heal, but we’ll never be the same. We do however have a hope in Christ. (Daniel 12:2, Revelation 21:1-8). I write specifically to encourage you in your ministry but also to share two things God has allowed me to learn when it comes to being effective in the area of influence He has given us with the “homies” (1 Cor. 16:9, 2 Cor. 10:13). First, because I realize that those I’m ministering to are still caught up, I must exercise God given discernment and integrity when I’m with them. Those on the outside are going to talk and gossip anyway, - So what? My goal is to be effective in expressing to them how Jesus Christ can change them like He changed me. This doesn’t happen overnight and if they’re not being receptive at the time I move around so they won’t feel I’m forcing it down their throats. Second, I’ve learn that the best way I can minister to them is to allow the to see me really living in Christ to the best of my ability. I, by myself, cannot convict, convert, or convince them of Christ’s power. Only the spirit can do that. I plant the seeds and love them, allowing them to see Christ in me. As a result God sends the ones whose hearts are softened straight to me. Don’t worry about the STG office. They still watch me, but I keep them in prayer and keep doing what God has called me to do. I’ve enclosed my correspondence to the Administration her for you to review as well. Keep doing good, don’t grow weary. God will reward you.

My projected release date is February 2014. Praise the Lord! Me being blessed with parole was truly from the Lord, because He showed it to me in a dream (vision) 6 years ago. In the early morning hours of June 12th, 2007, I was awaken out of a dream. I dreamed that I had just came from seeing parole on the Michael Unit, and I had just received an FI-4. the vision was so real I woke up looking around thinking that I was in the parole office, only to realize that it was still dark outside, and I was still in my cubicle on 19 dorm Z-pod. I spoke aloud; “I know I was just in the parole office, and I know I just received an FI-4.” I said “Thank you Jesus,” then went back to sleep. When I got up that morning, I got my date book out and wrote the vision down. In the book of Habakkuk 2:1-4, the Word reads: “I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that He may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith. I pondered the vision in my heart. Over the years that followed, I thanked the Lord for blessing me with an FI-4 whenever it came to mind despite the fact that an FI-4 was almost unheard of back then. Three years after the vision, in 2010, I went to see parole, after waiting three months for an answer, I received a 3 year set-off. But I still kept thanking and praising the Lord for blessing me with an FI-4. The “just shall live by faith”. After serving my three (3) year set-off, I went to see parole again in March of this year, (2013). I got my lay-in 4 months later in July 2013 to get my answer. When the officer gave me the lay-in and I saw it was for parole, I started thanking and praising the Lord for blessing me with an FI-4. When I went to the parole office the next morning, it seemed as if I had already done this. I knew that I had an FI-4. Ms. Commander, the parole officer, told me to have a seat, and said, “congratulations, you’ve got an FI-4.” HALLELUJAH!!! PRAISE GOD!!!

Brothers and Sisters, we serve an awesome God, and remember, “The just shall live by faith.”

"How God Called Me To Ministry" - Part 6 Alonzo D. Fuller, #604169, Clements Unit 9601 Spur 591, Amarillo, TX 79107 Characteristics of the Apostle's Ministry As I previously admitted in Part 5, I am no apostle. I have no anointing to stand in that office. But thanks be unto God who has blessed me with an understanding and knowledge teaching me how to shed light about these ministries gifts concerning the gospel of His son. In this article, I will point out four characteristics of the Apostle's Ministry. Bear in mind, this is by no means an exhaustive teaching, but hopefully it's enough to help those called this particular office to understand what God has for them.

The very first thing I want everyone to understand; God didn't give the ministry of the apostle to minister to the apostle. He gave it to minister to the Body of Christ. I will use Paul's ministry as a biblical example of an apostle and it's characteristics. I have been explicitly clear that a person going into ministry need to be called by God before his or her ministry is ever confirmed. If you have ever studied Paul's ministry, you will find that Paul didn't start out in the apostolic ministry. As Paul proved himself faithful, God (not man) promoted Paul in ministry. Notice Paul did not step into the apostolic ministry at will...once he proved himself faithful, God separated and sent Paul out by the Holy Ghost for the work God had for him, which is the apostolic ministry. Acts 13:1-4.

The first characteristic of a true apostle, he is first and foremost a preacher or a teacher, or vice-versa, of the Word. 1 Timothy 2:7; 2 Timothy 1:11. Paul was a sent one for the purpose of preaching and teaching the gospel. Believe it or not, each ministry gift is first of all a preacher or teacher of the Word. For example, the Lord spoke to me on April 5, 2005, calling me to the Prophet's Ministry. Now, I cannot stand in that office unless the anointing comes upon me. However, I can always teach. I recognize the ministry; you will either develop a preaching ministry or develop a teaching ministry.

The second characteristic of an apostle, there will be signs, wonders and mighty deeds operating in this ministry. 2 Corinthians 12:12. If some of the people I know who call themselves apostles today don't have some of these same apostolic signs working in their lives and ministries, then I would question whether they're in the right office. More importantly, to stand in this office, a person must have a very deep, personal experience with the Lord - something very real and beyond the ordinary. Remember, Paul had such an experience with the Lord. Acts 9:3-6. I'm not advocating this is an iron-clad Rule, but there are exceptions. As for myself, I've had an apostle. Like I said, this is a characteristic that fits in the same class of the apostle.

The third characteristic of an apostle is one who plants and establishes New Works in the Lord on a sound biblical foundation the Word of God. For example, this apostle has an anointing to establish churches. The apostle has the supernatural equipment called "governments" listed in 1 Corinthians 12:28. If the power is not there to establish churches, then those involved are not apostles. If you have the power (anointing) to start a prater group, a bible study group, or to assemble a New Work for the glory of God in Christ Jesus, then I would classify you as an apostle.

The last characteristic of an apostle he has a submitted ministry. Galatians 2:1,2. I think the ministry of the apostle is misunderstood. Many think it is an elevation to a position of authority, whereby one may Rule over God's people. An apostle is not above other ministry gifts. In fact, a true apostle will submit his ministry to other proven ministers of the gospel, as Paul did. Although an apostle isn't a novice in ministry, yet he should confer with other men of good reputation about what he preaches. Paul submitted his revelations to the spiritual leaders of his day. Very often, I would submit most of my revelations I receive from the Lord to other brothers who I know are scripturally sound and rooted in the gospel before I go out teaching to the church. I would also prove it first in my own life before I share it to the church. I don't want to hurt the Body of Christ, nor hinder the plan of God in my own life. Therefore, our ministries need to be judged. We are not to judge the person; we judge what he's preaching or teaching. We judge the person's ministry. I strongly encourage you, if you have a Revelation about the Word, prove it out scripturally first before you teach or preach it to the church, then submit it to others who are spiritually mature and seasoned, and let them judge it.

Before I close, remember that the fruit of a true minister of God is that he or she has a submitted attitude toward other sisters and brethren. Our number one concern is always about being a blessing and building up the Body of Christ, establishing the gospel in the hearts and not tearing them down with questionable teachings and revelations. A woman of God sent me a letter several weeks ago, and she called me "Sunshine" because the things I wrote became a blessing to her. If you, apostles, will take heed what I have wrote in the articles and continue being faithful to your calling, you will reach a place with God and experience an increase in your anointing where supernatural signs, wonders and mighty deeds will seem like it's an everyday part of your life.

“SERVING GOD” Allow me to share this study which I conducted this weekend with you, to be continued…

Let’s talk about serving God. Our purpose in life is to serve God in some form, shape or fashion. He created us for this very reason. God was forming us while in the womb for His glory. Read (Jer. 1:5, Rom. 9:11) Before we were born God had a purpose for us. You & I were elected, chosen, called (Read Is. 43:10) The word of God tells us to be passionate about serving Him (Read 1 Chron. 28:19) we’re not to serve God seeking out his service in return for our obedience. That’s self serving. Remember, the Lord searches all hearts, and understands all the intent of our thoughts. We must willingly serve God regardless of our troubles or circumstance. Real servants don't try to use God for their purpose, we let God use us for His purpose. We must serve God in worship (Read Luke 4:6-8) (Duet. 6:13-15). Now since God is a spirit if we are to be servants of God, then we must worship him in Spirit, and truth (Read John 4:24, Rom. 1:9). Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, God’s spirit enters us. His spirit gives us the authority to kill the sinful nature of the flesh (Read 2 Corn. 3: 4-6, Is. 42:1, Is. 61:1, Rom. 8:9, 1 Cor. 3:10-16). Another way to serve God is through fellowship with one another. Christ is the head and we are the body (church) we operate as many members, but in the same body. (Read 1 Cor. 12: 20-26). Basically, we need each other.

We’re to uplift one another; all members are important. By helping each other we become servants to another, and to God. Every opportunity is an open door for us to serve God. Nothing or no one is insignificant (Rom. 12:1-11). Our perfect example was demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ (Read John 13:3-8).

Jesus took on a servant role by washing His disciples feet (Read John 13:12-15). Our perfect example. We also serve God by allowing ourselves to grow in His word. It’s detrimental to our spiritual walk that we constantly grow in God’s word. By maturing spiritually we gain sufficient enough knowledge and understanding, so that we will become effective servants. (Read Eph. 4:10-16). Ministry is another way we can serve God. Our ministry should consist of spreading the gospel, which is the good news of Jesus (Read 1 Tim 1:12, 2 Tim. 4:1-5, Col. 1:24, 25, Rom. 15:17-25) so ministry is an important factor in serving God. Lastly, we all have a mission. Everyone of us has been given an assignment according to our gifts (1 Cor. 12:27 -30, Gen. 48:10). We’re all here on earth for a purpose. Once it’s been discovered; we can start on our mission toward fulfilling our assignment. The word tells us that we will be rewarded according to our works (services) (Read Rev. 22: 1,2). I conclude this study with Joshua 24:14, 15.
