WHAT IS DBTM?

ASIA’s first integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s Program in Design, Business & Technology Management (DBTM) at Thammasat University is a joint effort of the Faculty of Architecture & Planning, and Thammasat Business School, in collaboration with the School of Engineering & Environment at Northumbria University in England, School of Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The intent of the program is to teach students not only how to create innovative products, services, and strategies, but also how to help organizations develop new business models for the future. DBTM’s mission is to nurture a new generation of professional pioneers that have the vision and the skills needed to respond to the challenges of our increasingly complex global society in a sustainable and ethical manner. The DBTM program bridges the disciplines of design, business and technology management and focuses on interdisciplinary collaboration and the integration of design thinking in all levels of strategy, planning and management. It emphasizes the importance of design as a core factor for innovation while developing a broader range of competencies in order to promote a deeper understanding of transformative issues that are affecting innovation.

8-Sian Mooncakes We offer product packaging into 2 sets so that customers can have alternative choices to buy. The old logo used to be in Thai language so we decided to change it in more modern sense, futuristic ways by using both English and Chinese for international export. We designed to include red and golden dragon logo because these colors are considered to be lucky colors, according to Chinese belief.

We change the brand logo to be more support Chalud story as well as considering the packaging design and bag design. We have added the senses of Chalud to the packaging to have a strap like it wrap around the bag in cylinder box, later on that strap do not get thrown away and can be used as key ring. Also we created more uniqueness of the bag by using a Thai traditional way to combine the Chalud bark sense to the bag, each bag has Chalud bark smell right away after the unboxing.

Luxury – We want to keep the previous image of a luxury brand, but make it more accessible to a wider range of customers. Traditional – Since the product is based on a traditional formula, we want the image of the brand to be based on traditional Thai culture. Black & White – We want the product to be more minimalist, natural, and friendly, to appeal to a wider range of customers, including Singaporean people. Moreover, the black and white of the packaging will stand out amongst the dark green in Amazon café
