AN ARTIST’S VIEW OF GENEVA, SWITZERLAND
This is an e-book of drawings that were made in Geneva, Switzerland. Rembrandtʼs ink drawings and Italian old master drawings were some of the first influences on me in the beginning of my art career. Regrettably, I didnʼt finish university with a degree in art, but I took a few classes in drawing, painting, sculpture and design to get some of the basics before I opened my first sculpture studio. Geneva is a beautiful city to live in as an artist because there are so many fine old buildings, cafés and monuments to draw. The older the architecture, the more interesting it is to draw because the lines of the ancient buildings are a challenge to draw by hand. Architecture from our era can be very inspiring to draw from, but I prefer the old style. Look at a building designed by Michelangelo for example and youʼll see what I mean; itʼs something you can draw from any angle. I hope you will enjoy looking at the drawings in ʻAN ARTISTʼS VIEW OF GENEVA, SWITZERLANDʼ.
