Welcome Kai Lovel
Youth Panel Chair From being a speaker in 2018, to now being Chair of the new Youth Panel for TEDxYouth@Perth, I’ve been witness to the incredible work this team produces – and the powerful ideas and bright minds they give a platform to. To be a part of our first ever youth event, as a young person myself, who sees the capacity of our next generations every day, I’m excited. And I look forward to having my title of ‘Youngest TEDxPerth Speaker’ smashed out of the park!
IDEAS WORTH SPREADING. CHANGE WORTH MAKING.
TEDxYouth@Perth sparks and celebrates ideas important to the young people of WA. Being part of TEDxYouth@ Perth centres young people in the TED international community, dedicated to great ideas and robust thinking. Through partner schools, we help curious and engaged students gain presentation literacy skills, critical thinking
skills and amplify their voice in a rapidly-changing world. Brand new for 2021, TEDxYouth@Perth is a half-day, affordable, TED-style event aimed at young people aged 14 to 21 at Perth’s State Theatre Centre on 20 March. It will be live-streamed for free so that every young person in WA can be part of the global TED community. Greta Thunberg speaking at TEDxStockholm November 2018

What is TED? TED is a non-profit devoted to spreading ideas. Every year TED licences more than 3,000 independent volunteer groups from all over the world to run their own TED-style events. TED talks have been watched more than 11 billion times. What is TEDxPerth? We are a nonprofit driven by a team of professionals, all volunteers, deeply committed to spreading the best ideas in our community to the widest possible audience. We run events, including a hugely popular, annual, day-long event at Perth Concert Hall and smaller, shorter Salon events. Like TED, our talks are online and have been viewed over 10 million times.
