HOW TO MAKE A GOOD IMPRESSION AT THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL Back to school season has finally arrived and many students are going back to in-person learning this fall and would like to make a good first impression. It might be the start of you going to a new school or actually meeting the teachers at your school due to virtual learning. Making a good impression can help your teachers and new friends get a sense of who you are as a student/person and show interest in their class or them as a person. A way you can make a good impression a few weeks before school is emailing each of your teachers a mini introduction about yourself; here’s a little prompt you can follow: “Good morning/afternoon/evening Mr/Mrs.___, My name is ___ and I am a rising ___ who will be a part of your class this year. I am excited to learn more about ____ (Biology for example) this upcoming year. I hope to use the information about ____ (biology) this year for the field of science since I would like to be a ___ (doctor) someday.” Thank you so much for taking the time to read my email. Yours Sincerely, First Name and Last Name Class of 202_ Another way you can make a good impression is always being polite and professional to new acquaintances and school staff, this can make people want to know you better and you can create great professional or personal relationships with them. Small ways you can make a good impression on a more daily basis is dressing appropriately, acting professional around staff, not getting in trouble and trying to be polite. Politeness is so important because it shows that you respect the other individual and that never goes unnoticed. Making a good first impression is more important than you might realize, think of the time you first met your best friend or someone who was really nice to you. Those are first impressions and when they are good the more likely you are to remember the person and want to try to create a relationship with them.

Apps For A Successful School Year Written by Sarah Chase

Notion I used notion my senior year of high school and it was honestly one of the most helpful apps/website for me to use. It kept me organized and I loved how customizable it was! If you use it, you will absolutely enjoy it and you will have a successful year.

Quizlet We must all know about this amazing app already, but if not, I am stressing you start using it to study now! Without Quizlet, I do not think I would have passed my economics class. I love using the flash cards and the study option it has! Calendar Apps/ Planners I love my planner by Happy Planner and I love my Google Calendar app. I mostly write due dates in both which helps keep me on track, especially writing it on my phone. The average teen is on their phone most of the day, so you will be sure not to miss anything important for school when it is set up in your Google Calendar as a reminder, event, or task!

Forest Not only did I use forest all school year to concentrate, but also over the summer! I love being able to create my own digital forest, but also helping the people at Forest plant real trees for every one I successfully grow! It is not only good for concentrating on assignments, but it also helps the environment.
