With the passions and pioneering spirit listed above, Monty felt it was very important to begin combining his knowledge of both pivots and SDI. Monty ordered a newly developed drip tubing from Netafim™. It utilizes a one GPH emitter that is pressure compensating at six PSI. The tubing is 45 mil. thick with a 6-inch emitter spacing. He worked very diligently to get farmers to try this product, however, no one wanted to experiment because of the risk of crop failure and lack of proven statistics. Monty then proceeded to purchase a farm of 320 acres with --- See Dragon-Line, Page 3

What is the value of growing the same crop with less water? By implementing efficient irrigation methods, can we prolong the life of the aquifer for future generations to utilize? With declining water supplies and the escalating need to conserve water, shouldn’t we address the challenge of managing irrigation water as quickly and efficiently as possible? Why do we expect different results when we don’t change our current watering techniques?

Take a Glance: Our 30-Year Plan
Teeter Irrigation Inc. has prided itself over the past 38 years in servicing you, our customer, and providing superior irrigation parts/ products. Whether it was Zimmatic, and now Valley, we have begun the process of preparing for the next 30 years, and we want you to know we are inspired about what is happening. The process started by having everyone in the company read Riding for the Brand: The Power of Purposeful Leadership by Jim Whitt. Last December, everyone participated in a two-day Pioneering Process that took us on a journey 30 years into the future. That process was the first step
in determining what the future would look like, and what we would have to do to succeed in that future. This process has also allowed us to narrow down what we are about, which is: “To Make Every Drop of Water Count!” We are excited about this purpose as each one of us in the company and the world have been called to be stewards of this great natural resource, and we must do what it takes to conserve and precisely use it. We also want you to be a partner with us in this purpose! Therefore, we developed the

Technology
The WireRat® is manufactured by Net Irrigate, LLC. The technology was first introduced in 2011 in response to a severe spike in center pivot copper theft in Northern Indiana.
http://www.netirrigate.com/
After observing solutions that failed to attract significant market share, Net Irrigate determined that a product needed to be developed that was simple to install, seamless across all brands of pivots, and didn’t rely on any sort of external power source.
We Pioneered Precision Irrigation. AgSense was the first to integrate Digital Cellular technology to remotely monitor, start and stop a pivot and incorporate it with the monitoring of grain bin temperature, weather, and soil moisture. We also introduced GPS technology to facilitate the remote programming of variable end gun and speed tables, bringing about the concept of Precision Agriculture to the irrigation industry. http://www.agsense.net/ BaseStation3™ from Valley® Irrigation is the most innovative, state-of-the-art irrigation management solution on the market, pushing monitoring and control technology to the next level to improve your farm and your quality of life. Remotely manage all your irrigation equipment from a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone – using native iOS (iPhone, iPad) or Android apps – for more control and more freedom.
http://www.valleyirrigation.com/valley-irrigation/us/control-technology/basestation3 TheProfiler® is a soil moisture monitoring system offered through Servi-Tech Expanded Premium Services, LLC. TheProfiler uses tried-and-true telemetry technology from AgSense, backed with wireless technology from WagNet and Servi-Tech’s agronomic knowledge. The telemetry allows for data transmission from the field every 30 minutes and web analysis of the soil moisture data. Servi-Tech Expanded Premium Services If the tipping rain bucket option is chosen, its data will also be available to be viewed on the web. http://www.stepspro.com 9
