than a circle does.
The ellipse has been relayed across elements such as the railing, the form of the mezzanine, the dance floor and so on.
Young adults staying in closeby homestays and hostels, looking to socialise and connect.
Friends travelling together to catch up with each other looking for a gala evening filled with chatter and dancing would enjoy such an establishment.
Couples and small families traveling on toght schedules could use a secluded space to dine in leisurely.
HOUSE OF RENDEZVOUS
“Casa De Encontre” is Portuguese for a house of rendezvous, and aims to serve as a place for friends and family to come together for a relaxed meal. Among the fast paced nature of existing Goan food spaces,“Casa De Encontre” hopes to bring back the laid back “susegaado” Goan setting catering to medium to large groups that wish to spend quality time together. The provision of a dance floor, a snooker room and a semi open smoking area add to the objective of enjoying company and group activities.
To enjoy a relaxed meal with a close group of friends or family, the site’s secluded location is suited. A dance floor adds to the experience of enjoying the company of an intimate group.

WORKSPACE DESIGN
Faculty: Naandi ParikhThe objective of this studio was to conceptualize a company context for a given profession and plan office spaces for two sites.
”NEBULA” is a cloud computing service provider. The design concept corresponds to the young, creative individual. Offices are no longer mundane workspaces, there is a realization for the need of collaborative, encouraging and inspiring environments.

Mondeal Heights, Ahemdabad provides a business centre of international standing, adding a new accent to a metropolis with 6 million inhabitants.
The project comprises two towers rising 70 metres high, one slightly offset from the other, housing generously sized offices and conference facilities on a floor space of 78,000 square metres. The ensemble’s multi-layered design promises exclusivity. Depending on the time of day, the sun casts shadows on the building envelope, making it come alive.
The studio’s primary focus was to create an office space design and generate a full set of working drawings of it. The drawing set included : space planning, furniture layouts, HVAC, electrical and plumbing services, furniture drawings and more.
Faculty: Vishal Joshi and Ramesh PatelKEY DECISIONS:
1. The ancillary activity or the paint booth is placed by the glass facade to facilitate an interesting viewership experience. Also, guests coming to the office to have their skateboards personalized wouldn’t have to enter the core workspace.
2. The marketing team is provided with a cabin of their own, as it is anticipated that they will be attending a multitude of phone calls and thus their presence might be unpleasant for other departments.
3. The pantry being the only breakout space in the whole office is kept large enough to accommodate almost the office and is provided with team building activity equipment.
4. The existing staircase and washrooms are retained as they allow for a large chunk of clear floor plate to be utilized.
KEY DECISIONS:
1. The web design, accounts and the research and development team function independently of each other but also closely work with the CEO and CFO which is why their proximity is pivotal.
2. The Web Design team has been provided with larger desks to accommodate ideation equipment.
3. The balcony space right outside the glass cabin provides for a space to be utilized by employees to take quick breaks and experience the double height element.
4. The Conference room comes with two large credenzas to store all sorts of paperwork and basic cutlery and supplies needed to facilitate long meetings.
With cities growing at a rapid rate, a need for filling out existing urban voids emerges. The goal of this studio was to work within the context of a historical building to ensure an efficient and experiential housing program.

STYLE : Colonial Gothic
It is a Gothic Church built in the colonial era as a religious structure. In the current day it is being used as a vegetable market to accommodate the chaotic urban fabric of the city. The challenge of the design project was to declutter the existing structure and visualize a temporary experiential housing program to envelop the existing architectural context.
The building is more than 150 years old PLAN of one wing of the octagonal structure Sectional Perspective view of a singular wing out of the Eight. The building is more than 150 years oldThe idea behind “Vishram” is to provide a rejuvenating break from convention. The compact pods with their dramatic angular walls set in a traditional gothic church facilitates a distinctive visual aesthetic and experience. Various features such as underground aquariums against the stone floor, the levels and platforms within a built structure, the dramatic angles against the conventional form of a church and the choice of surfaces realise the dynamic contrast to provide a respite from the formulaic.
Considering the two user groups i.e. students and a young family, special emphasis has been given to the spaces facilitating interaction. The recreational areas surrounded by the wide staircases on either sides and platform on top creates the perfect balance between exterior and interior. Equipped with seating arrangements, planters, the underground aquariums, a walkway and a small park, the recreation area offers something for everyone. The interior colour palette ensures that the compact spaces do not seem condescending. Features such as angularity and surface play ensure unique spatial qualities.

Understanding Nepali Architecture and Urban planning Methods
Over a period of two weeks, the expedition of S22FP007 set about to understand through decoding the complex and dynamic pattern of layering of physical forms (morphology) of the historic city of Bhaktapur, a city of squares. The form of the city is characterized by the composition of the various complex built (tole, a residential urban sector) and unbuilt (squares) layers by imposition, assimilation, amalgamation, and reinterpretation of values as a result of diverse socio-cultural and religious influences.
Through interactions with local architects and conservation enthusiasts and an in-depth documentation of street networks, water structures, religious built forms and various urban elements, we were able to gain insight into the unique context of Newari architecture.

Sprinkly Rainbow
Glazing In the dark
You make a lazy middlespace, Are you moving? Or are you making waves?
In your soft screams, I lose my chatter, Sprinkly Rainbow, are you even there?
Pink and green and red and blue, So many colors, that all turn into you, Sprinkly Rainbow, are you even there?
Falling over and rising again, Cool as ever, naughty yet clever, Are you a child? Or something wild? Sprinkly Rainbow, are you even there?
