what we do connect
Jewish students on campus to each other, their heritage, and their Jewish future OUR MISSION:
To reach every Jewish student on campus and help them develop a personal relationship with their heritage that is full of understanding, meaning, joy and passion. To welcome and support each student regardless of affiliation through the core Jewish principle of Ahavas Yisrael, Love of one’s fellow. To embody and expound the value that no one is expendable; we need each and every Jew.
Dear Friends, We are pleased to share amazing news: Chabad Student Centre of Kingston has purchased a new Student Centre, a Canadian Heritage Home, Elizabeth Cottage, for the Jewish students in Kingston. It is an exceptional facility that we were truly fortunate to acquire, with no shortage of miracles and blessings in the process. We are now working on the next phase of the project: to renovate this beautiful heritage property into a warm, inviting Student Centre that will enhance Jewish life on campus for years to come. This publication summarizes the milestones we have reached until today, as well as the anticipated growth that will come with our expanded ability to serve the Jewish students in Kingston. We are excited about the possibilities this new centre will open up for the further development of Jewish student life in Kingston. It is our sincere hope that you will partner with us in building Jewish student life in Kingston. The effort we put in today will last for generations. As our Sages teach, “Just as our parents have planted for us, so must we plant for our children. Wishing bountiful blessings to all those who have helped us get this far and to all those who partner with us in the future,
Rabbi Sruly, Esti and the whole Chabad Family
