The 2 day conference held at Halic Congress Center was organized with the participation of the “fashion’s dream team” including celebrities such as Paolo Zegna, the CEO of world famous Ermenegildo Zegna, Pier Luigi Loro Piana, CEO of Loro Piana, Don Baum, President of Polo Ralph Lauren who is responsible of Production and Supply and Abel Popez Cernadas , Senior Manager of Inditex Supply Chain which also includes Zara.TGSD President Cem Negrin speaking at the opening ceremony of conference stated that the dream team gathered together for the first time at the “Most Fashionable Conference”, in which in addition to Prime Minister Mr.Recep Tayyip Erdo¤an, Minister of State and E.U Chief Negotiator and Minister of State Egemen Ba¤›fl and Minister of State Zafer Ça¤layan also was present. Whereas a growth rate of 8% has been experienced in Turkey. The buying strength of Turkey has changed a lot since 2000. While the annual expense in 2000 was 24 thousand dollars, today it is more than 60 thousand dollars.

However the buying strength in Italy has not changed. In that sense, I believe that we have a lot to learn from you being the bridge of Middle East as I see that you are better than us in that issue.”

The exhibition was organized with the support of Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade (DTM), TETSIAD (Turkey Home Textiles Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association) and UTIB (Uluda¤ Exporters Association) and KOSGEB. This year EVTEKS 2011 was held with the participation of 160 international companies. In addition to individual participation, national participation of Belgium, Spain, India and Egypt reflected an increase of 45% in the international participation to the exhibition. Buyers came from about 60 countries to Evteks Exhibition.

In a highly symbolic act a beech tree will be planted in the park of the Textile College in Dornbirn on 30th of June 2011 in the presence or representatives from the City of Dornbirn, the directorate of the Textile College, local media and the Austrian-MFI. This is to commemorate 50 years of hospitality and cooperation with the City of Dornbirn and the Textile College. The mercerising machine concept was specially developed for yarndyed shirt fabrics after joint trials together. Special attention was focused on the subject of width shrinkage. With the Section Control system, shrinkage can be controlled even better, particularly in the area of the selvedges. In the process, the new machinery continues to deliver the well-known advantages of the Benninger Dimensa mercerisation technology .Thanks to this new development, it has been possible to further reduce the cutting wastage during tailoring, which in turn reduces costs. Even though this is only one step within the overall value chain, the energy required to manufacture a shirt - and therefore also the corresponding CO2 emissions - can be reduced by 5%. The main focus of the second investment - a high-performance washing machine - was also on the parameters water and energy. The Benninger Extracta washing principle with its strict counterflow-based design has impressed the customer enough to purchase a ninth machine. The outstanding characteristic of this principle is the separation of the waste water into partial flows, which makes waste heat recovery particularly interesting and effective. Thanks to the integrated waste heat recovery, 50% of the steam required for heating the washing baths can be saved. The partnership between Esquel and Benninger has been in place since 2005. Esquel has already operated nine Benninger finishing machines for textile finishing of shirt fabrics and knitwear. nternational technology Group Andritz has received an order from Mogul Tekstil Sanayi Tic. Ltd. fiti., Gaziantep/ Turkey, to supply major equipment for a new spunlace line. Start-up is scheduled for December 2011. The line will have a width of 3.6 m and will include the advanced hydro-entanglement technology of Andritz Perfojet (Jetlace Essentiel unit, Perfodry 3000 through-air dryer, and filtration system). Together with the first line, which was also supplied by Andritz Perfojet and went on stream during the first quarter of 2010, this will give Mogul a total spunlace capacity of 24,000 t/a. The new line will be dedicated to lightweight spunlace fabrics and will enable Mogul to produce spunlace fabrics at very high speed with low energy consumption and offer a full range of patterning and aperture solutions.

The latest Monforts heat exchanger is integrated into the roof construction of the stenter for no heat loss. Exhaust air heat is converted in the heat exchanger to heat the fresh combustion air. Heated fresh air enters at the inlets of the stenter via integrated fresh air ducts. Up to 60% of the fresh air required by the stenter can be preheated in this way providing an energy saving of between 10% and 30% depending on the production process. A stand alone Energy Tower has been introduced for retrofitting to existing stenters or hotflues with restricted access above the units. Designed to be positioned alongside the stenter or hotflue it features five integrated heat recovery modules. Capitalising on the high temperature of the exhaust air, savings of up to 30% in energy costs can be achieved.

Additionally Monforts systems feature all electronic/electric support for the minimum use of energy, such as, for example, automatic heat energy shut off for when the machine is in idling mode. The benefits of the new Eco-applicator will also be introduced at ShanghaiTex. The new system eliminates the need for a wet-on-wet padder ensuring significant energy savings and reduced quantities of softners. Using trough and roller techniques, the Eco-applicator applies a liquid coating to a single side of the fabric, both sides, or applies a liquid to one side of the fabric and a different liquid to the other side.The new process is available in a number of ranges suitable for felt finishes, coated materials and medical textiles. Finishing effects include, for example, water repellency, flame retardency and insect repellence.

ew to the RD product range, the exhibit will include RD 7/2-12 N or EL raschel machines, which operate at a working width of 138 inches and are available in gauges of E 18, 22 and 24. The seven bar machine features EL guide bar movement control, available as an optional configuration with a multispeed system. By superimposing constructions with different colours and densities it is possible to produce various 3D optical effects. Karl Mayer will show its extended range of four-bar tricot machines for the polyester terry goods market, including its TM 4-T model. The company will also be demonstrating its new Wefttronic machine platform, which is said to offer improved weft-insertion in terms of width and square metre production rate. The central machine unit is fitted on both sides with an optimised weft chain and operates at a wider working width of 268 inches. The display will include Karl Mayer’s V-creel, engineered to guarantee constant yarn tension over the length and width of the warp. The yarn feeding equipment operates without any guide elements or deflection points. Air resistance is reduced as a result of the shorter creel length. These elements ensure the machine operates at production speeds of up to 1,200 m/min. In addition, the company will be showcasing its Sucker-Size staplefibre sizing unit. The size is applied to the warp yarn in the application system using the ‘double dip, double nip’ process. This process is said to improve the adhesion of the sizing agent to the yarn surface, as well as reducing hairiness. Finally, the exhibit will include the Warp-Direct warping machine, engineered to provide perfectly cylindrical beam build-up and uniform surfaces by maintaining uniform yarn tension and contact pressure. Newest innovations in the field of man made fibre technology Cotton like fibres Trützschler Nonwovens has been able to increase line speeds on the Fleissner Fibre Lines: • Ready to go for line capacity 300tons/day: with one-side roller suspension.

• Line capacities >300t/day: with two-side roller suspension Compact tow drawing consisting of rollers with individual torque motors The new Fleissner Tow Drawing Unit was recently developed and shows that Trützschler Nonwovens is Innovative on their Fleissner Fibre Line concepts. The advantages of the new system are: • Less rollers for better performance, • More flexibility in adjusting fibre properties, • No wraps on rollers - higher production efficiency, • No gear boxes, • Compact - half length of conventional line, • Better heat transfer - less energy consumption, • Assembled unit on common platform, • Consistent torque of rollers, speeds up to 500m/min, • Economic for line capacities up to 80 tons/day.

Newest innovations in the field of nonwoven technology Double Roller Unit for smoothening and calibrating - Uniform line pressure, in combination with a uniform gap width, ensures optimal results In our constant efforts to adapt the products of the Trützschler Nonwovens Group to the requirements of the market, the calender, the foam padder and the calibration unit of our production program have been redesigned. The target was to unify the double roller unit to a common constructional base and at the same time adjust the single aggregates to our customer’s needs today. The result is a machine consisting of two rollers which can be used as a calibration unit, calender, foam padder, squeezing unit or printing unit. Depending on the requirements of the process the rolls can be installed horizontal or vertical. The diameter of the roller is chosen based on standard roll diameters according to the actual pressure needed and the process requirements. The pressure is generated pneumatically; an electro mechanical pressure generation is foreseen only for calibration units with special requirements. Of course the rolls can be cooled, heated or cooled and heated. Where necessary the machine is equipped with a roller-bending-compensation-system.

Hydro Entangling in new applications Trützschler Nonwovens have been active in developing new markets for hydro entangling and one of the new products are hot air filters. The mechanically pre-needled webs are finished with the Fleissner AquaJet resulting in better efficiencies and higher filter qualities due to smoother surface of the fabric. Also it is possible to reduce the weight of the filter media keeping the same filtration efficiency, which reduces the cost of the fabric. There have been further developments with splittable fibers processed via an Erko pre needle loom and a Fleissner AquaJet. Samples will be presented.

1999 y›l›ndan bu yana desteklenen tüm projelerde TÜB‹TAK taraf›ndan yap›lan katk› Lafer Türk ve TTM firmalar›na, daha sonraki Ar-Ge çal›flmalar› için firmalar›n önünü açarak yeni projelerinin oluflmas›n› sa¤lad› ve finansal aç›dan cesaret verdi. Yararlan›lan hibe destekler ile Ar-Ge kadrosundaki nitelikli mühendis say›s› artt› ve daha fazla proje üzerinde çal›flabilme olana¤› sa¤land›.

2007 y›l›nda tasar›m›na bafllanan, 2008 y›l›nda Ar-Ge çal›flmalar› ve yürütülen ilgili projenin tamamlanmas› ile seri üretimine geçilen, gerek yurt içinde, gerekse yurt d›fl›nda say›lar› 80’i bulan TTM markal› Ram-X model ram makineleri, bugün Türkiye ve tekstil endüstrisinin merkezi olan birçok ülkede tercih edilen teknolojiler olmaya devam ediyor.

K›sa süre içinde 100. ram makinesi üretim parkurundan ç›kacak olan TTM firmas›, 22-29 Eylül 2011 tarihlerinde Barcelona’da gerçekleflecek olan ITMA 2011 Tekstil Makineleri Fuar›’nda, bugüne dek yap›lan yenilefltirme ve gelifltirme çal›flmalar›n›n gözlenebilece¤i en yeni teknolojilerin tan›t›m›n› yapacak.

Bugün dahi TTM markal› ram makineleri ile di¤er ram makinelerinin farkl› tip kumafllardaki üretim kapasiteleri, enerji tüketimleri ve di¤er ilgili veriler toplan›yor ve Ar-Ge bölümü gelifltirme çal›flmalar›na devam ediyor.

State Prof.Dr. Mehmet Ayd›n, who is responsible of science and technology. On behalf of HAS Group companies the production manager Mr.Recep De¤irmenci informed about their own success stories and finally provided information about the stenter machine whose project is just completed. Since 1999, the contribution made by TUBITAK to all supported projects enabled Later Türk and TTM companies to create new projects by encouraging companies for further R&D studies.

Thanks to the donation supports, the number of qualified engineers working in the R&D team increased and the opportunity to work on more projects was caught.

The project of Ram-X model stenter machines have started in the year of 2007 and they start serial production in the year of 2008 still continue to be the stenter machines preferred in Turkey and also in many countries which are the sentres of the textile industry which is the textile capital of world markets.

With its completed design, this new stenter machine is entirely the result of the experiences of the users obtained from other brans stenter machines for many years and it is also the common work of TTM, R&D Department.

We also employ foreign engineers in our team for many of the implemented projects and we are continuing to design the machines of the future with a creative team spirit in the result of the experiences of yesterday and today’s practices.

Even today, production capacities, energy consumptions and other relevant data are collected for TTM brand stenter Machines and for the other stenter machines and R&D Departments continues their development works.

Dornier system family In the modular construction of the Dornier system family, comprising airjet and rapier weaving machines, the important elements of FT control also provide significant benefits. Approximately 95% of electronic and 65% of the mechanical subassembly components are of identical construction. This simplifies the maintenance and operation of the machine types in weaving mills which utilise both Dornier rapier and air-jet weaving machines. Textile production obtains optimum flexibility and productivity for current market requirements in this way.

Other important improvements are also to be found in the throttle block and the relay nozzles. The throttle block can be easily repositioned to the required fabric width with only one tool. If necessary, the width adjustment can also be made symmetrically. The flow-optimised Dornier single hole relay nozzle is maintenance-free and uncomplicated. The special conical bore of the nozzle ensures that an air stream which impinges on the tip of the weft yarn at supersonic speed does not destroy it, but carries it through the shed in the most efficient way. With these features machine downtimes are further reduced and fabric quality is improved.

Process reliability and new valve technology The patented Dornier PIC® system (Permanent Insertion Control) recognises imprecise operation in the case of every magnetic valve involved in weft insertion from the very beginning, thereby guaranteeing maximum process reliability. Considerable reductions in air consumption are also achieved with the new valve technology due to there ultra short switching times.

Another optimisation provides the option of using only two relay nozzles per valve, reducing the dead volume in the air lines and therefore air consumption. These improvements are decisive success factors of the new technology in practice.

Energy efficiency and sustainability All of Lindauer Dornier GmbH´s developments are considered from the important viewpoint of energy efficiency and sustainability.

In the case of energy efficiency, it comes down to the sum of the individual components, so that, at the bottom line, a user will see appreciable savings. This is the overall aim of the FT control concept, which consists not only of the drive motor but also of the weft insertion control with the Dornier ServoControl®-2 in combination with the PWC clamp in order to save on holding air.

Experience to date has shown that a reduction in compressed air requirement of 10 to 20% is achievable. The complete “weaving mill” system, including compressed air supply from the compressors, should be considered here. A lower compressed air requirement in volumetric and pressure terms means a smaller energy requirement and therefore reduced environmental CO2 pollution. This is a contribution to sustainability which will, in time, be followed by others. It also includes fully responsible handling of the yarn material to be processed. For example selvedge waste can be reduced by over 50% with the new DuoColor unit for rapier weaving machines.
