The Via Verda in Terres de l'Ebre is a culturally touristic idea aimed at people who love cycling. This route is of medium difficulty if you are on your bike, but you can also follow it on horseback or on foot. The route follows the old railway track which linked La Puebla de Híjar (in Aragón) with Tortosa and crosses the regions of Terra Alta and Baix Ebre. It is well sign-posted and the ground has been adapted for cycling. It borders the western side of Els Ports massif and the banks of Canaletes River until it reaches the Ebre. The scenery is spectacular and the route includes passing through 41 tunnels, some of which are quite long (up to 750m).
