Anyone can father a child, but being a dad takes a lifetime. Fathers play a role in every child’s life that cannot be filled by others. This role can have a large impact on a child and help shape him or her into the person they become A good dad protects his kids by drawing clear boundaries, considers their best interests, talks to them about things they should be aware of and puts things in place He teaches his kids about consequences of making the wrong choices. Fathers instill character development in kids They're the ones who go above and beyond for their families and are considerate of how other people feel or what they might need They take initiative, and don't give up even if something doesn't work out on the first try Good dads are involved in family life and regularly show their gratitude. They also look to their fathers to provide a feeling of security, both physical and emotional Children want to make their fathers proud, and an involved father promotes inner growth and strength

My father was a source of encouragement to me as a kid Be it a baseball match or a debate competition, his presence at the venue gave me a boost of my overall confidence He was the happiest when I succeeded and his words made a world of difference to me as a child

This is what I would say to my father if he was still with us today. ''Dad, you've always been my hero. I was so lucky to have your love and guidance in my life. Your love to me will always be imprinted on my heart as a son. You've shown me strength and it wasn't all about muscles. I hope one day to be half the man you are. No matter how tall I grow, I still look up to you... and more importantly I would like to say, I wouldn't be the person I am today, I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for your love for me.''

I know you're looking down on me from heaven. I love you, Dad!
