Formal authority, for example, enables an individual to exert influence as a result, of either high, legally recognized office (legitimate authority). AUTHORITY: "A person in authority has power over others."
That is because authority and power are not the same thing, even though many leaders fail to grasp the distinction. In particular; an alarming number of academic administrators these days don’t seem to understand the difference between exercising duly constituted authority and merely wielding power. Authority is essentially the capacity to carry out one’s duties and responsibilities., presidents have authority to determine budgets, and so on. For authority to be valid, it must be given to, which is to say derived from something larger than itself. The officers of a college, for instance, typically derive their authority from elected or appointed boards.

But what is power? It is the ability to influence people to change their minds, their attitudes or their behavior. Power is everywhere- (ubiquitous) in human relationships: in every group of people there are those with greater and those with less power, those who influence and those who are influenced. Part of the process of belonging to any group, including the church, is finding out, consciously or subconsciously, where we stand in the hierarchy of power. But how is authority related to power? If power is the ability to influence people, authority is permission to influence people. This permission may be given either from ʺaboveʺ, a person appointing someone to a certain position, (Pastor Ray - Apostle elect) or from ʺbelowʺ, from the people asking someone to be their leader. (Asking someone to represent them)

Authority must be understood by every Christian since it is the entire basis of our relationship with Christ. “Authority” means “the right to command and enforce obedience.” When we accept Jesus Christ as our “Lord,” this means that He is supposed to become our “boss” or “authority” over our whole life (Luke 6:46). In addition, the Bible becomes the source of authoritative instruction for our Christian Life (2 Tim. 3:16).
Since submission to authority is basic to Christian Life, it is important that we understand that all authority is a Godgiven institution. The Lordship of Christ is the highest source of authority that we must answer to (Matt. 28:18), but God has also ordained at least three other categories of subordinate authority in the world that we must also submit to:

(1) The Family - Children are to obey their parents (Eph. 6:10). The wife is to cooperate with her husband, which is the head of the family (Eph. 5:22-24, 1 Tim. 2:12), and the husband is to submit to Christ and love his wife (Eph. 5:23; 25). (2) The State - We are to cooperate with those authority figures and obey the local and federal laws of the land, within the boundaries of God’s laws (1 Pet. 2:13-14). (3) The Church - Christians are to submit to the headship of Christ which is exercised through His Spirit (Rom. 8:14), His Word (2 Tim. 3:16), and Church leadership (Matt. 18:17-20, Heb. 13:17). God has established these authorities as the “delegated” extensions of His authority. If we resist cooperation, we are in effect, resisting God’s own authority and Lordship. This is why Paul told wives to submit to their husbands “as to the Lord” (Eph. 5:22).

This one scripture is saying a lot to God’s children. We should all want the spirit of the Lord to rest upon us. Everyone needs the spirit of wisdom in order, to be effective leadershifters. You need wisdom for discernment and to make divine decisions in the Lord. As a believer of God, everyone needs the spirit of
understanding. You need to understand what others are going through in order, to give them Godly counseling. The spirit of counsel is something that works hand in hand with understanding. We need to

The spirit of might is where you can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens everyone of us. The spirit of knowledge is what we need in the spiritual realm. It is where we gain heavenly insights and knowledge from the Lord. The fear, reverence and respect of the Lord is something we must have as children of God. We are to only fear God according to Saint Matthew 10:28 stated, “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.� (KJV). This is, why this is one of the most powerful scriptures in our Holy Bible recorded in Isaiah 11:2

I just wanted to write about business in the spiritual sense. I had a plan that I was depending on for a product in the works.
I was waiting for the finances to come through at a certain time for it. When the money came through it was not enough to finish the project. I was upset and ready to walk away and complained. I decided to pray and seek the Lord in this matter. I had asked God why this happen this way. I didn’t get a response right away it took a few days. (Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths). By: Prophetess Irene

I heard his voice clear as day when he spoke to me. God told me I was depending on my plans and not his. You see God is the one who gives the increase not man. I had everything planned with my own strength. I prayed about the plan and had great faith. God told me It was not His plan for the finances to move forward. This is the season to trust God more than ever. His timing and plans are not ours. His time is perfect and well planned. I learned a valuable lesson to give it completely to God. I can’t do anything without the Lord. Please give everything to the lord and wait. I encourage people to wait on God’s perfect timing.
