Elite Girls’ Rugby Programme
In September 2021 we launched our Girls' Elite Rugby Programme, open to girls playing at County level, or at centre of excellence groups in year 11 who want to progress on to England Under 18s, Under 20s and beyond.
The programme provides girls in years 12 and 13 with the same opportunities as our Boys' Elite Rugby Programme, with a focus on performance coaching, strengthening, conditioning, physio support and video analysis. After completing the Girls' Elite Rugby Programme, there is the potential to move on to the Ealing Trailfinders’ Academy Programme at Brunel University where scholarships are available for the most talented students, or to follow other pathways including transitioning to the Henley Hawks Women’s team who play at championship level. Former England player, Kim Oliver, has been appointed as coach and will work to build the foundations of the Girls' Elite Rugby Programme.
GIRLS’ RUGBY SCHOLARSHIP
The Henley College and Ealing Trailfinders are delighted to offer a scholarship fund for the Girls’ Elite Rugby Programme. This scholarship enables the College to recruit talented female players from across the country, who may not otherwise have the financial capacity to attend the programme. The fund helps towards accommodation and assists with other living and study costs, including food, travel, academic resources such as text books and equipment, as well as rugby kit. This is an exceptional opportunity for aspirational and talented female players who may be playing at county level, or at centre of excellence groups, to gain access to top level coaching, alongside a quality academic programme at the College.
