Tube Inserts

Allows joining of tubes with ability to dismantle one side.

It should be noted that some Stainless Steel Decorative Polished Tube has no tolerance on the wall thickness so there may be cases where the above items will not fit.

Fitting Instructions:

Take one half of the tube that is to be joined and drill a 7mm hole approximately 12.5 cms from the end. De-burr the hole inside and out.

Slide Tube Insert into tube so that button locates in hole.

Slide the other half of the tube that is to be joined over the exposed insert and secure with either two or more rivets, self tapping screws or weld. The screw or rivets should be set opposite each other.

NOTE:

When assembled, avoid excessive downward pressure as this can collapse the spring clip.

Usual safety precautions when drilling stainless steel tubing should be observed.
