STE- 7
The Science Technology and Engineering (STE) conducted a Research Congress to showcase the STE Student’s skills on defending their research and on June 7-8, 2023 held at Compostela National High School (CNHS) Mini Gymnasium.
From 2-years hiatus, face-toface is back! Master Teacher Ma’am Debbie Teruel conducted a 2-day based Research Congress in order to challenge the student’s teamwork skills and discussed the field of Science Technology and Engineering (STE).
A program that helped the students to improve their skills about research and teamwork. Research Congress helped a lot to the students
especially to the Grade-7 STE Students who are new in the field of the STE.
Many emotions were experienced by the students in STE7, since it was their first time to join the said event, some were struggling, mental-blocked, and excited to defend their research. The problem that the students were experienced was other teammates did not helped and doesn’t have effective
communication.
Maria Angelique Cocamas, a STE-7 learner said that some of her teammates were not communicating and just letting the leader do the work, they manage to done it on time, but it was not good enough.
“Paglaan ug igong oras para sa pagsuri ug data, paghimo og mga presentasyon ug pag praktis sa mga speech. Giharap namo ang mga hagit sa epektibong komyunikasyon sa
among Research ngadto sa lain laing mga tagapaminaw nga adunay lain laing lebel sa kahibalo” Said by Cocamas.
Still, the event helps student to improve their skills, since it was their first time, they will comeback better as the event will comeback in the next school-year.
Robots are programmable machines, which can usually perform a series of actions autonomously or semiautonomously. Robots really are incredible because of their Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the things that they can do that will make people mind-blown .
Made from recyclable materials Centero, it is the first application-controlled robot that has been programmed in Compostela National High School (CNHS) with collaboration of Sir Marvin Fernandez, an award-winning National Robotics coach and Sir Norman G. Jandog, EdD,
CNHS' Principal IV.
The name 'Centero' was created by Sir Norman. But, it has not yet made its formal public appearance for it has not yet been launched. Centero can; Greet Individuals, reminding teachers to pass their Daily Time Record (DTR) and sing the Davao De Oro Hymn.
In addition, Centero is a product of Robotic Process Automation or (RPA). Software Robotics, uses automation technologies to simulate backoffice functions performed by human workers, such as enterprise and productivity applications.
Combining the
interactions of RPA technology autonomously performs various task across unrelated software systems that providing scripts that mimic human interaction.
Recently, Centero was showcased in an event including the robots made by the Science Technology and Engineering (STE) students in an Research Congress held in CNHS Mini Gymnasium on June 7-8, 2023.
Indeed, robots really are helpful to us nowadays, but no robots are more hard us humans.
