Saving summer season for students to relax

(PTA) Louie Bryan M. Lapat guaranteed that they tapped Department of Education (DepEd) to bring back the original school calendar to spare students in the summer season, at Nabunturan National Comprehensive High School (NNCHS) on Saturday, May 20.
COVID- 19 pandemic has become a hindrance for students since school is affected that resulted in converting face to face classes to blended learning modality and changing the school calendar.
“The main rationale is to spare students in the summer season,” Lapat said.
He added that they tapped DepEd to take faster action to bring back the old school calendar, starting from June to March which takes 10 months, to secure the summer season for students to relax.
Indeed, bringing back the old school calendar is really a big help for students and teachers to help them prevent extreme hot weather condition that happens in summer season.

(PTA) Louie Brian M. Lapat emphasized that modular blended learning is only an alternative way to cope up with the students’ way of learning, at Nabunturan National Comprehemsive High School (NNCHS) on Saturday, May 20.
Some district in Davao City experienced hot weather condition that resulted to schools’ implementation of the modular and blended modality, an alternative way of teaching the students amidst weather crisis.
“Our priority is the welfare of the students,” stated by Lapat. He added that there is already a Department of Education (DepEd) order that allows school heads to postpone classes for them to prevent further cases due to hot weather condition.
“All schools are compliant of the
alternative way of learning to still reach the level of quality of learning education,” uttered by Lapat. He added that to spare the students from further circumstances, they tapped DepEd to take steps to find solution that will answer the unstoppable weather condition. However, this alternative way is only for the meantime as the PTA federation reached out to the DepEd to make solutions to the continues problem. “Band-aid Solution,” said Lapat. He added that one of the reason why students suffer more from the hot weather condition, is the lack of ventilation. Indeed, students are the most affected of the hot weather condition as it hinders them to their way of learning and it can cause dehydration, exhaustion or worst, skin cancer that will result to bad health condition.
Students of Davao City Region experienced headaches, exhaustion, -and dehydration due to extreme hot weather condition.

Division School Press Conference (DSPC) participants overlooked the hot weather condition to continue participating and listening for their own respected categories at Nabunturan National Comprehensive High School (NNCHS) on Saturday, May 20.
Participants are standing in an open field so they really feel the heat since there is no other venues where they can conduct their activity.
“Bisan init nagpadayon japun mi og paminaw kay wala man gihapon mi mabuhat sa init,” uttered by Angel Maceda, DSPC participant.
She added that the hot weather condition is really a big distraction but it is nothing compared to their passion to win and strive to be the best.
Indeed, there is nothing that hinders the participants since they have a goal to achieve.
these changes is the revolution of technology, it becomes the new way for students to learn. “Students’ intellectual capacity is decreasing as they rely more on using online tools, but using AI is not bad if we are able to harness it properly” stated by Lapat. He added that students are becoming dependent on using AI that somehow they forgot to use their own knowledge to make their works and teachers are accountable to teach the responsible way of using it.

He added that he noticed some students irresponsibly using it since they use it to cheat on their exam.
Truly, AI is a helpful tool that makes people’s lives easier and it is easy to use but we should be responsible of the consequences.

Learners using artificial intelligence for academic purposes has been a growing issue as the over-reliance of AI, as it violates the values of honety and hindering the leaving proficiency.
Teachers and different advocates are mad due to fundamentally destroying forms of truthfulmess, protesting for it to be condemned or regulated.
Using AI has deteriorated the quality of learning as students are less likely to answer honestly to what they have learned, preferring over the generated text of an AI.
Being dependent to AI will severely cripple the learners competency. Due to it, creating answer directly not educating the student, this terminates any potential of the student.
It’s prominent usage among learners to multiple unfair advantage as these of in capability are struggling against who don’t. Teachers in particular will have a hard time grading students as AI creates very work similar to people, threatining security.
Using AI chatbots in particular compromises multiple layers of security as this can potentially leak private information.
The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence has lead to many controversies as it’s over-dependence will make most works obsulete. Embracing technology as it’s might, regulation must be strictly enforced as to not abuse it,
Multiple advocacies are protesting to impose regulation in using AI. Learning deligently is more rewarding than relying on artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence has cursed us with imcompetncies as people are more reliant of to bots than their fundamental knowledge, leading to the loss of self-confidence.
The dependence of technology had led to multiple catastrophes in the past. Creating a machine that is capable of learing,conversing and commanding, relinquishes all progress that people made.
The problem with AI is it’s tendency to malfunction causing harm to those who’s unfortunate enough to suffer from the shortcomings of bots.
Conversation bot or Chat bots poses threat to security as they collect tons of personal information that may be corrupted my outside interferances. This can be easily abused by someone with sufficient knowledge of the tech leading to massive leaks in information. Further adding distress brought upon AI.
The greatest horrors of AI is it’s ability to learn any information it gathers, this poses massive risks as often seen in movies. A problem solve by Machine learning opens more opportunity for disasters.
AI has many flaws to be viable for many tasks, it’s vulnerability poses threats that must not be overlooked, due to the promise of convenience the laziness brought by robots will only worsen our problems.
We must invest more on ourselves as the evolution of machine learning will never stop as there are many flaws yet to be discovered.
Multiple schools are suspending classes out of necessity as the extreme heat has lead to multiple student suffering from dehydration, nosebleeds and fainting causing massive hystoria.
This modular distance leaving system is merely a temporary fixed like a band-aid one might say, this is not a practical solution to a rising problem as the consequences will be always repeated if not resolved correctly.
Students yearn to return to the old school calendar system as it’s more practical
than a weasly solution to a great calamity.
MDL (Modular Distance Learning) is not the long term solution as it only relieves some pressure of student not outright solve them.
To return the old school calendar system is the way to go as it doesn’t only solves the summer heat problem, it allow learners to study in a more familiar climate.

At the same time, it shows advantages that aren’t valued enough while throwing anger and complaining something they are feeling unthankful and puzzled, why and how. Preventing this natural phenomenon isn’t possible, yet avoiding could be.
For some reason, it is the difficulty of someone who is one of the people that encounter this situation for many times. Despite all of it, the problem has always been a piece of cake of the life of his since it could be lessen as long as possible. It gives him feeling that is hard but can be overcome immediately.

Have you ever encountered a boiling heat that melts your body? Well, most people experience it since it is a natural phenomenon and couldn’t be prevented. Some positive and negative actions could be with you in times of these situations, but helping yourself could lessen the heat you are encountering, which it makes you feel better throughout the day. The more knowledge you had, the more energy could rise you up!
As a young one, you might be able to serve yourself, or even other people your knowledge in all of these situations. However, being a helping hand to anyone might make yourself being the huge key to all precious lives and adds you more courage to be a hero for everyone. There are many ways you could avoid the surging sun, and these are:
First, Bath yourself with a warm water. It is advisable to stay cool during hot weather and makes you feel better. A lot of it is perfect for the day, especially a cold water to cool yourself is also a nice moment to relax and unwind for a while. Going outside is really recommended to be fresh throughout the day.
Second, avoid to go out for many times. When unreasonable, it is much better to stay in instead of making yourself adding sweat. If it is a significant reason, never let your body exposed too much, use things that covers you up such as umbrella or jacket and wear a loose clothes to reduce experiencing heat.
Third, stay hydrated. Lacking of water might add danger so filling up your body with more, more water is one of the advisable things you could mentain at a sunny day. It adds strength to feel calm. A better routine such like these are good from the sunrise and at the end of the day.
There is so much ways to avoid struggles in these conditions. There is no reason to be feel tired so you might add knowledge to anyone who needed to know in times of these weather. It is better to share tips and be a lending hand to anyone!

Elaine Jacob plucks gold medal against Kryzel Femiz

De Oro Elaine Mae Jacob notched a gold medal against Kryzel Joy Femiz in DSCPC table tennis single A Championship 2023 with winless end run 11-9 11-8 in 10 minutes at 11 a.m today.
The first set was all Elaine Mae Jacob, leading the match with a 3 pointer away from Kryzel Femiz with her hard smashes that she was aiming for where Femiz’ opposite side leading her to lose focus on the ball and miss it a few times.
Kryzel Fermiz can be seen with a lot of pressure and struggle in receving the ball with Elaine Jacob’s amazing speed along with her aim and placing of the ball that she aims to smash in an empty spot and pounding the ball with full strength that
made Femiiz lose track of it.
It was an intense match for both young players, however Elaine Jacob put an end to the first set 11-9 with her excellent strategy that gained her with 6 points, 4 excellent digs, and 1 service ace with a coclusion of 6 minutes match against Kryzel Fermiz.
It was a quick match between the two athletes on the second and last set, Kryzel Fermiz managed to draw level on Elaine Jacob with a good start that tied them 3-3, Elaine Jacob on the other hand maintained her technique until the end of the match that Femiz had her focus on as she was unable to come up with a solution to challenge it.
Kryzel Fermiz had her short momentum as Elaine Jacob soon got away from the rough tie and proceeded
to led with 6 points away from Femiz.
The last set ended shortly afetr Elaine Jacob’s last hit, puting an end to the Championship match with a final score of 11-8, Jacob had her speed and Femiz with her strong factual point on the board, Elaine Jacob with amassed her with her great performance that put the gold medal on her palms.

For the past 7 years of playing table tennis, Elaine Mae Jacob has thrive to win and put her vision to reality, with countless trainings, tournaments and challenges, she managed to pass all of them with full confidence and strenght.

Kryzel Femiz on the other hand stated “Kulang ko sa practice, mao jud na ang kailangan para mas ma improve akoang pag dula,” to practice more is her way of gaining achievements and winning gold medals, it was a friendly game both young athletes said.
Kryzel Femiz was overpowered by Elaine May!
Kryzel was outplayed by Elaine in the DSPC Table- Tennis Women 2023.
She was disappointed of her loss as there were multiple onlookers watching and recording the match, not to back down now she promised to practice and one day come with different results.
The two young athletes shortly finished the match as Fernandez greatly lacks the capacity to mitigate her weakness, allowing her opponent to exploit her weaknesses.
It was great for Femiz to read the opponents’ strategy as this allowed her to predict most action of Elaine allowing for Kryzel to take a lead.
It was a bit challenging for Kryzel, ending in a loss 3 points down. She can read the opponents strategy and use it with great effects, but slightly lacking in her defenses, allowing the opponent to score.
For Kryzel to beat Elaine, she needs to practice more in her defense as her offensive capability is superb.

The short match between the two young athletes finished off shortly for 10 minutes, with Elaine Jacob’s strong speed that made her won a victory against Kryzel Fermiz, a lot of focus on with the placing of ball and finding out what the opponent’s weakness that gave her a huge advantage of hitting the ball hard on the empty side.
Kryzel Fermiz on the other hand had her focus on the board and how Elaine Jacob uses her strategies on her that eventually made her lose track of the ball often, it was a struggle for Kryzel Fermiz to come up with a solution as Elaine Jacob managed to edge her multiple times ending her
short momentum on the second set. The first set started off with Elaine leading 3 points away from Kryzel Fermiz, it was challenging for Fermiz to draw level as she struggled to receive the ball from Jacob’s hard smashes that eventually titled her factual point on the game Fermiz, however, managed to catch up and end up a rough tie between Jacob but it was a quick momentum for Fermiz as Jacob took off and started to lead again by 4 points from Fermiz.
“More practice pa jud, para mag improve.” Fermiz said after facing the challenges she just had with Jacob.
Young athlete Elaine Mae Jacob is a 14-year old student player who started her journey as at the age of 8, Jacob stated that her tito was one of her inspirations that helped her grue and improve her skills, he supported her and was there to face struggles and challenges with her.
Elaine took home a silver medal from her tournament at Pantukan when she was there to fought for Provincial Meet, “Mao to akoang biggest achievement before ani nga match, naka silver ko ato nga time,” the young player is full of passion when competing and aher coach Mustiola Vista was also there to support her.
Elaine was a great smasher on the match, she had a strategy where she observes the opponent’s weakness and she uses it as an advantage to hit the ball at the empty spot making her opponent lose track of the ball, this technique of her has become her way of winning any competition.
Elaine stated that the match with her best friend was not that challenging for her, though it made her nervous as she beats her even though she was older and had more experience than her, this shook her and made her completely smile out of happiness, it was an unexpected victory for Elaine Jacob.
The student athlete stated “Naa koy pangandoy maka apil ug big competitions like DAVRAA and SEA Games, more practice para mag improve,” despite of being a young athlete, not only that but she is also a student who excells in her studies, this thought is hard for her as she needs a proper time management to do all her responsibilities.
