This notebook is the result of two social architecture projects in Roșia, Romania. All photographs are taken with an iPhone 6s, for two reasons: it was the only photographic tool at my disposel and a familiar instrument people can relate to, without feeling too self-conscious. Being part of their community was both a challange and a joyfull experience, learning about their living situation and their belief of having an already assigned destiny, raw, imperfect and, in their perception, uncomplicated. Despite lack of money and/or in some cases basic living facilities, the kids manage to find a new way to connect with each other by giving a fresh alternative to owning things. This spontaneous process is the key to their creativity and everyday activity, which can only inspire towards a collective energy, as they are able to find magic in anything.

To address the critical need for an architecture that connects, that provides social experience, as well as a tactile and spatial one.
