Welcome to the Acorn Commercial, Investment, and Development Quarterly Newsletter. Following last issue’s report on increased buyer demand, we’re pleased to share that this trend has continued into 2025, which has resulted in a strong start to the year. Properties that remain in high demand include vacant or tenanted commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings, where value can be added through strategic management, planning, or development. We expect this trend to continue and look forward to reporting on the second quarter of the year in early summer.

A comprehensive marketing campaign generated multiple offers, and a sale was successfully agreed upon with a local investor.

We facilitated an option-to-purchase agreement, allowing the buyers time to procure planning approval. Following a high-profile marketing campaign that resulted in 22 offers, we were able to conclude a sale of this now vacant doctors surgery just off Old Kent Road at c.20% in excess of our guide price. The buyers have since obtained permission to convert the property into four apartments.
