We concluded 2024 on a high note, securing several lastminute deals before the festive break.
Now, 3 weeks into 2025, we’re pleased to report a significant uptick in buyer interest from last year, particularly for investment properties. Commercial investments, residential blocks and mixed-use investments are all in high demand. Similarly, interest is certainly there from developers providing the GDV, build costs and other associated costs align.

Bromley BR2
In the fourth quarter of 2024, Acorn Commercial introduced this 0.32-acre commercial site to the market.
Located between two residential streets in Bromley, the site, featuring a spacious open yard of 7,000 square feet and a storage building of 3,000 square feet, was zoned under the B8 use class, designated for storage and distribution.
The site quickly attracted interest, reflecting the ongoing demand for yard and storage spaces in both the sales and leasing markets. Ultimately, Acorn Commercial successfully secured a lease agreement with a local automotive operator.
Blackfen DA15
Having been occupied and run as a family business for 56 years, the Premier Autocentres car dealership in Blackfen has been a cornerstone for selling new and used cars and offering servicing and maintenance to the local community.
Over the years, they received numerous offers from national supermarkets eager to acquire the site. However, the owners chose a different path, opting to become landlords rather than continuing in the motor trade or selling outright. They entrusted the property’s leasing to us, tasking us with finding a suitable tenant.
Forest Hill SE23
Acorn Commercial, acting on behalf of the registered charity Lewisham Carers, successfully managed the sale of this unique commercial property in Forest Hill.
This property, located centrally, consists of two distinct structures combined into one cohesive unit. The north side, a two-storey Victorian building with a modern extension and the south side, a single-storey hall that was previously used as a church/community centre. Together, these buildings cover an area of 3,175sqft.
The sale attracted interest from both potential owneroccupiers who could envision using the space for business operations, and investors. The property was ultimately purchased by a local investor.

After an impressive 38 years of ownership, our client decided it was time to part with their freehold commercial property in the heart of Chislehurst, BR7. The site features a significant 4,400 sqft E class building on a 0.24-acre plot, complete with secure, private parking. Back in July 2022, Acorn valued this property, after which the owners opted to use another commercial agency for the sale. However, over the next 16 months, despite multiple attempts, the sales fell through.
Recognizing the need for a new approach, we were reengaged to relaunch the marketing of the property. Our strategy paid off as, within a brief marketing campaign, we successfully negotiated terms with a local business, located just 150 yards from the site. The new owners plan to transform the building into a modern office facility.

Collaborating with Savills Automotive, Acorn Commercial facilitated the acquisition of a substantial 0.89 acre industrial site in Dartford for the Ancaster Group, one of the South East’s premier vehicle dealerships.
This strategic acquisition marks a pivotal expansion for the group, known for their extensive range of new and used cars across several brands including Nissan, Hyundai, and Dacia. The new facility will serve as essential support for their current dealership located on Princes Road.
