Welcome It’s been a rollercoaster (just over) two years - our shows made here in Mold have won major awards and toured the UK, while we’ve worked in our community and schools using innovation and creativity to support vulnerable groups, enrich lives and teach key skills. Everything we do would, however, be impossible without your support – seeing shows, volunteering, donating and spreading the word about Theatr Clwyd. So thank you! We hope to see you soon.

“Every man is a king” Stanley is no exception. Until one summer, when his sister-in-law Blanche comes to stay. Anxious, seductive and fiercely clever, Blanche is just about keeping it together. But her arrival threatens his entire way of life. As the temperature soars and passions intensify, a burning desire threatens to tear their world apart. This bold new revival of Tennessee Williams’ timeless masterpiece is a raging portrayal of what it means to be an outsider, in a society where we’re all desperate to belong. Sticks and Stones

Island Town

by Vinay Patel

by Simon Longman

Sometimes we can’t find the right words. Sometimes the right words become wrong. Sometimes that ruins everything. Where technology multiplies every mistake, can we find a way to understand each other?

Kate, Sam and Pete are stuck. The town doesn’t have much going on. But they’ve got cheap cider and their whole lives ahead of them. And they’re going to break away anyway. Someone’s about to get a car. And all roads go somewhere else. Right?

Written by BAFTA-nominated Vinay Patel, Sticks and Stones is a side-splitting satire about the search for a sure footing in an uncertain world.
