THE FEELING OF DISCONNECTION FROM SOURCE AND SOUL IS ONLY AN ILLUSION, MY FRIEND

REDISCOVERING YOUR CONNECTION TO THE UNIVERSE G R OU N D IN G E X E R CISE

G R OU N D IN G When feeling overwhelmed by demands or distracted by emotions, we are acutely aware of the “problem,” but lose awareness of the bigger picture. Each of us is part of this earth, part of this magnificent universe. Reconnecting to this power is the concept

of grounding. This is helpful to bring yourself back to the full and present moment. If grounding is new to you, start with short intervals, without the distraction of others or technology (turn that phone off!).

Suggestions Walking amongst trees | Walking barefoot on grass or sand | Listening to calm music with eyes closed Inhaling Grounding Essential Oil Blend (put a drop or two in the palm of your hand and deeply inhale) Diffusing Palo Santo or Sage

Right To Rule Grounding Exercise Ideally, the soles of your feet should have contact with the ground. Breathe slowly and deeply, focusing all your attention on the soles of your feet. Imagine your breath moving in and out through them. Continue until this feels comfortable. As you exhale, visualize your feet extending into the ground like the roots of a tree, slowly spreading through the soil. Sense how these roots connect you to the earth. As you inhale, imagine energy flowing into your feet through those roots, as nutrients flow into a tree. Let the energy move into your body to wherever it is needed. It may be helpful to follow this exercise with an overall body scan, in which a person is asked to tune in sequentially to various parts of the body.
