DAY 2 Venice is the perfect base from which to explore the Veneto. Hop on a train and visit the charming town of Padua, where the world-renowned Scrovegni Chapel frescoes by Giotto are located. Feast on the famous roast and boiled meats trolley and fresh pastas served at the fantastic trattoria ‘Da Gianni’. In the afternoon, visit the famous botanical gardens, St. Anthony’s Cathedral, Galileo’s operating table. In the evening, back in Venice, enjoy an informal barbeque in the gardens of the PALLADIO Resort our property on the Giudecca.
DAY 3 Start the day by having breakfast al Fresco, while admiring the Grand Canal. After : take a private boat to the Islands of the lagoon, including the most secret – like San Francesco del Deserto. Dine on the Island of Torcello, in a magical garden and climb to the top of the bell tower for a sweeping panorama of Venice. On the way back, stop for ‘chicchetti’ at Sant’Erasmo and Le Vignole. End the day dancing in Piazza San Marco, the largest drawing room of Europe as Napoleon defined it.
