Welcome to the digital version of The Bikers Trading Post The Bikers Trading Post is now being published monthly as a digital magazine. We have been making some big changes. Now, instead of being a one man show, we're teaming up with others to make us more of a community magazine. This will let us cover more and publish a lot more of all the events that you are going to. We are a local publication and dealing with local happenings. Yes, we will cover a few of the bigger shows that a lot of you follow but we understand you have no interest in a poker run in Kentucky. We will not be limited to the per page cost like in the normal printed publications. You can download the whole magazine and save it and you may take it to a printer and print part of it or all of it. This month we are putting in two calendars, one vertical and one horizontal. Most of the articles will have links and they are in red and labeled. If you click on that link it will take you to the albums of photos or a video slideshow from the event and you are welcome to right click in them to download and use for any non-commercial use. Please give us credit if you put them on your pages. You can take them and get prints of you and your friends if they were at one of the events that we covered. We have a facebook page that if you click on it will take you to a current list of the events that are happening in our area. At this time we have listed over 415 events past and present for 2015 in Western Pa. https://www.facebook.com/thebikerstradingpost Please check it out and friend us, and please feel free to share anything on that page you want to. Now with that all being said this is a biker magazine. We are covering the bike life, style and events. We work hard to try and keep things clean but if something is happening in the background and we miss it, OH WELL. If you are offended by off color jokes and photos of people getting crazy and photos of girls on bikes you are at the wrong place. November is a very slow month for the bike life. If you have anything happening please let me know at thebikerstradingpost@gmail.com

Rambling Thoughts.

Well the year is over and this has been a crazy month personal and with the magazine. Not a lot of things happening in the bike world unless you were wanting to have your kids see Santa at your local Harley-Davidson store. The swap meets are starting in January and there are several of the large bike shows that are beginning the end of January and running through February. We will not be putting out a February issue because we are very event orientated. In this issue you will find a February and march calendar for the people that are printing them out to keep and then from now on we will be running a month ahead on the calendars. You can keep up with all the events as we post daily on our Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/thebikerstradingpost . Keep your eyes open for our Super Spring Issue March 1st, 2016.

Poker Runs Poker runs can be a great event to get a good group of people together and to also raise money for a local cause. We are listing as many of the events like this that we can and trying to be a part of the community. In 2015 we listed over 400 local events on the Facebook page and we are listing many of them in here and also under the events page on our website. Look for the events listed by Date, then we have listed where and the type of event it is. Under that it will have in red either information, flyer or website and if you click on that it will take you to more information on that event.

Upcoming Poker Runs

Look in this issue for our poker run guide. It is just a few hints for people doing the first one, but it will also have a link to a list of over 400 runs that we had listed last year. Check it out to see if any of them cross paths with the We are looking for people who go to a lot of the events and dates you are planning. If you have questions e-mail or would like to do sales and also cover a few events. We are trying to keep the areas to about one county each, so after you call the people that ran them last year and make sure that you are not crossing paths and competing with each other. get set up you could cover it in 2 or 3 days a month. We are offering a great sales incentive so if you are looking for a little money on the side please get in touch with us. We will also be looking for bikes to feature in the magazine along with models for on the bikes. We are growing every month in readership. As spring comes around look for us at all of the local events. We are Anyone that is going to an event and wants to share it with us a local publication for the local people. We are in need of people to cover events in some areas. If you are interested please e-mail us at thebikerstradingpost@gmail.com. If you please let us know. would like to join us in sales, covering events and getting published please let us know.

Last on the list.

A quick guide to help in the organizing motorcycle runs. Organization is the biggest key. Start by planning as far ahead as you can. Many of the really good runs will go on the same weekend every year. The second Saturday of July is especially popular. This will not only help the riders planning, but also helps other people planning runs to know ahead of time so they do not conflict. Also, on the organization level you need to follow up on everything that you do. If you talk to someone about doing something for it, you have to give them a reminder call a week or two ahead of time and confirm, then two days ahead of time call and thank them for their efforts in making it a success. That way if they did forget, you are reminding them. Picking stops. One of the biggest complaints and problems I hear from people is the chosen stops. Many times the runs will leave a bar, go two miles, and stop at another bar. Some of the best runs I have seen are where they start at a park, fire hall or some place of that type, with coffee and donuts. Then first stop is a bar, second stop is a motorcycle retail location, third stop a bar, and so on. That way you get your stops in and the riders are not spending the day drinking. Also, you want to plan stops that are easy to get to. When you pick the stops, talk to them ahead of time so they can plan on having enough people to service the riders. Most places love to have 50 to 100 people stopping in spending money, so you can ask for some type of giveaway even if it is just bar t-shirts or a donation. If you do a giveaway, make it so they have to go into the establishment to get a ticket. Lining up the route. Take a lot of care in the route that you choose. Make sure the roads are safe and that the traffic is bearable. If you have a dangerous intersection talk to the local police department and ask for a officer there to help direct traffic. Most of the time they are happy to help. Make sure you have enough spotters for all intersections. The day before the run, drive the route to make sure nothing has happened like tar and chip, or detours. The final stop. Most of the time the final stop will be a dinner. A lot of the lounges and bars will help with the food in exchange for having the drink sales. Follow through because I have seen this type of thing fall through. If you are supplying the food you can add sales of non-rider dinners to help the cause. Advertising. The more the better. There are a lot of inexpensive ways to do it. Flyers. Have as much information on them as you can, but do not overload them. Make them stand out in the crowd. Color is great and sometimes you can even find a sponsor to print them for you. Place them everywhere. Postcards are cheap and so are business cards. I like to have all the stops listed, so the riders not only know where they are going to stop, but it is advertising for the locations. Internet. There are many free ways to advertise on the Internet. Have a nice flyer and get a digital copy of it to spread. Have everyone involved place it on their pages and ask for everyone else to pass it on. It can snowball in no time. www.facebook.com/thebikerstradingpost is our Facebook page and we will list all bike related non-profit items there, on our event page http://www.thebikerstradingpost.com/page11.html and in the issues of the magazine.

Kick-stand Kids Something old in combination with several youngsters makes a great impact on troops abroad celebrating Christmas this year. Using a 1932 M38A1 U.S. Army Jeep as the old collection container the young Kick-stand Kid members attempted to fill it with donated items to send to our currently deployed troops. This ambitious group made signs, passed out flyers, collected and sold baked goods from a local Legion #111, posted on social media and got support from the Meadville Tribune to raise awareness for this event. So with all the preparations made, this group set up at the Meadville Downtown Mall on Saturday, November 21st from 10-4pm to attempt to collect as many donations as they could. They were all dressed in matching “Support the Troops t-shirts that Laurie s Embroidery designed and donated to the Kick-stand Kids working this event. The local support was outstanding and the group raised $305 in cash donations to help with the postage expenses to send the boxes overseas and the Jeep was generously loaded down with donations to put in the boxes. Delmar Preston, from Post 52 was overjoyed with the amount of donations when he arrived to pick up the jeep. After the event the Kick-stand Kids went to Post 52 to present a check for the money donations and to enjoy a great meal at the end of a productive day. This group is eager to return to Post 52 to pack the boxes and see the end product of their hard work. Future community service events are being planned by this group, and they are currently looking for other members interested in making a difference in the community.

Ashley Motea I've been in an independent film called Angel of Reckoning, and published in Ravish Model Magazine. I'm in a series still in production called Zombie Weed Farm. I've gained an awesome, respectful fan base after taking down a scammer posing as a photographer. My plans are to keep doing what I'm doing. I started modeling and promoting myself independently, and I'm negotiating offers. I want to be more active in the alternative community, and in tattoo magazines. You can see more of her on facebook under Ashley Motea, Model

2003 HONDA VTX 1300 I was talking to the lovely Ashley about doing a shoot and was looking for the perfect bike to shoot her with when Dave Spignesi sent me a photo of his 2003 Honda. I just felt the sculls would work perfect with Ashley s tattoos. 2003 HONDA VTX 1300. I bought it in 2004.Got hit around 2011 so I decided if I'm gonna fix it I'm gonna do it the way I always wanted to. other then the paint done by SWJ Custom I tooled the whole thing myself I was always was a skull fan and after the accident had a good size dent in the tank so I figured let's do it. The paint job is a blend of several different things I've seen that my guy Scotty was able to make as one.

Humor to relieve stress Never Outsmart the Hillbilly A hillbilly went hunting one day in West Virginia and bagged three ducks. He put them in the bed of his pickup truck and was about to drive home where he was confronted by an ornery game warden who didn t like hillbillies. The game warden ordered to the hillbilly to show his hunting license, and the hillbilly pulled out a valid West Virginia hunting license. The game warden looked at the license, then reached over and picked up one of the ducks, sniffed its butt, and said, This duck ain t from West Virginia . This is a Kentucky duck. You got a Kentucky huntin license, boy? The hillbilly reached into his wallet and produced a Kentucky hunting license. The game warden looked at it, then reached over and grabbed the second duck, sniffed its butt, and said, This ain t no Kentucky duck. This duck s from Tennessee. You got an Tennessee license? The hillbilly reached into his wallet and produced an Tennessee license. The warden then reached over and picked up the third duck, sniffed its butt, and said This ain t no Tennessee duck. This here duck s from Virginia. . You got a Virginia. huntin license? Again the hillbilly reached into his wallet and brought out a Virginia. hunting license. The game warden was extremely frustrated at this point, and he yelled at the hillbilly Just where the hell are you from? The hillbilly turned around, bent over, dropped his pants, and said You tell me, you re the expert!!

The Motorcycle Cop A car slows down at a stop sign and keeps driving. Biker Bob as a young motorcycle cop sees him and pulls him over. "Why didn't you stop?" Bob asks The man says, "I slowed down." Bob pulls out his night stick and begins beating the man unmercifully and asks the guy...... "do you want me to stop or slow down?" Biker Bob s service as a motorcycle cop was short lived. .

Letter to Santa One day, a little boy wrote to Santa Claus, "Please send me a sister." Santa Claus wrote him back, "Ok, send me your mother."

Humor to relieve relieve Humor to stress The $15.00 Harley A sixteen year-old boy came home with a new Harley-Davidson and his parents began to yell and scream, Where did you get that bike???!!! He calmly told them, 'I bought it today. 'With what money? demanded his parents. They knew what a new Harley costs. 'Well, said the boy, 'this one cost me fifteen dollars. So the parents began to yell even louder. 'Who would sell a bike like that for fifteen dollars? they said. 'It was the lady up the street, said the boy. I don t know her name - they just moved in. She saw me ride past on my bicycle and asked me if I wanted to buy a motorcycle for fifteen dollars. 'Oh my Goodness!, moaned the mother, 'she must be a child molester . Who knows what she will do next? John, you go right up there and see what s going on. So the boy s father walked up the street to the house where the lady lived and found her calmly sitting on the porch drinking beer! He introduced himself as the father of the boy to whom she had sold a Harley for fifteen dollars and demanded to know why she did it. 'Well, she said, 'this morning I got a phone call from my ol man. I thought the s.o.b. was out of town on a parts run, but learned from one of his bro's he had run off to Hawaii with some young blonde whore and really doesn t intend on comin back.. When the lying bastard called he told me his old truck had broke down and he was stranded on the side of the road and needed cash , he asked me to sell his new bike and send him the money. So I did.

Facebook I'm going to create a Facebook Account with the name "Nobody" So when somebody posts something stupid I can say "Nobody Likes This!" Q: Why is Facebook like Jail? A: You have a profile picture, you sit around all day writing on walls, and you get poked by guys you don't really know!
